  1. If this thread actually hits 55 and Westerman actually signs... then you know we're pushing it to 60!
  2. I dig it. I'm at episode 5... trying to ration it out rather than binge. Very Shadowrunny. Very cool.
  3. We could get some mileage out of this guy too... looking at you Rod
  4. Eric Rogers would be amazing. Easily one of the best receivers to grace the CFL in recent years. Dare to dream.
  5. I didn't hear anything about season 2 being a prequel. That would be news to me. I'm sure the story will still cover past events since Jimmi Simpson is returning for Season 2 (but doesn't appear in this trailer).
  6. I'm not here commenting on the things people don't say SPuDS, just the things they do say. Sorry I picked you out of the circle jerk I'll quote someone else next time.
  7. http://www.cjme.com/2018/02/02/riders-wr-duron-carter-charged-with-marijuana-possession/ Does this mean anything as far as being able to play in the league? Probably doesn't change anything?
  8. It's the sort of thing that happens all the time. I was facetiously pointing out Mack get's LOL'd at on this forum for doing something every GM does routinely.
  9. Yep the writing is on the wall for Heath. Fogg too, perhaps. Which is too bad, I really like Fogg. Heath was a luxurious rental.
  10. Gaitor has talent for days. I don't think he's Randle good, but he's got to be solid competition for Walker and Alexander. Good signing. Surprised he was still floating around... chasing NFL opportunities maybe? BC released him last October.
  11. LOL Mack's the only GM that cuts players due roster bonuses it's true
  12. http://3downnation.com/2018/01/27/riders-duron-carter-puts-tj-heath-blast/ If you're into that sort of thing. Seems pretty silly to me. It would serve them both right to end up on the same team one day.
  13. For that matter, it's not like he even plays every minute of every game. Can you really call sitting on the bench drinking Gatorade work?
  14. Big big signing. Thank goodness we were able to retain him.
  15. I'd be in the sign Randle camp for certain. He's been the most reliable corner we've possibly ever had as long as I've been a Bomber fan. Travis Bond is an exceptional American playing a traditionally Canadian position. I can see us getting by without Bond, but being lost in the desert without Randle. Simply put, Bond is a luxury; Randle is a necessity.
  16. To be (a pretentious ELA nerd) or not be be (a pretentious ELA nerd), that is the question. Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of misuse of the word wherefore, Or takes arms against misinterpretation and point out' wherefore' actually means 'why' I agree it is a bummer that the we are constantly picking through the leftovers to bolster our bullpen, and that trend doesn't appear to be changing.
  17. http://montrealgazette.com/sports/football/cfl/montreal-alouettes/alouettes-deliver-contract-ultimatum-to-quarterback-darian-durant Yucky situation for both sides. A take-it-or-leave-it offer from a team that desperately needs a QB. If I were Durant I think I'd gamble on holding out and let the dice land where they may... I don't see MTL having any other options other than re-signing Drew Willy (blech) or somehow landing Josh Freeman and hoping he's regained his form. Meanwhile, the Alouettes' lone bright spot, Johnathan Mincy, signs with da Bears.
  18. https://www.bluebombers.com/2018/01/05/bombers-announce-coaching-staff-changes/ Jordan Younger - defensive backs Glen Young – linebackers and defensive line The club will not renew the contracts of defensive line coach Todd Howard, and defensive backs coach Tony Missick. The remaining coaching will return in their respective roles for the 2018 season.
  19. Luke was one of my childhood heroes, right up there with Michaelangelo, He-Man and Lion-O... so I was pretty sad to watch him go without getting to see him really wield a lightsaber one last time... I left the theater feeling a bit disappointed, even. However, showing up in an X-Wing and force-crushing AT-ATs into scrap metal is best left for the video games. The clever distraction, leveraging Kylo's fear of what the oh-so legendary Luke Skywalker could do against him, was the slick Jedi move to make. It's fantastic that both the audience's and Kylo's expectations of Luke allowed the force ghost twist to work and surprise a lot of people. We all expected fireworks, and when the AT-ATs were blasting away we thought that's what we were getting... instead, as Johnzo pointed out, we get the nod to the original trilogy with the master sacrificing himself for the apprentice as they flee aboard the Falcon. Right now, Rey has about as much Jedi training as Luke did at this point of his adventure, but no Yoda to train her. I'm eager to see how she's going to develop her skills enough to fill Luke's shoes as galactic hero and living legend. Supposedly she swiped the codexes? I didn't see that... It was a fun movie. Benicio was great but I'd have traded him for an 80 year old Billy Dee Williams in a heart beat. Space Leia was goofy but whatever, it's still better than Ewoks pwning storm troopers Home Alone style or Anakin losing his epic final duel because "higher ground"
  20. I don't honestly believe the deal would have happened if Popp and co. didn't have an understanding with Franklin already. However, I recall something about BC dangling Reilly in front of the Bombers prior to reaching FA without allowing us to speak with him/his agent first... so I suppose it's possible Popp is rolling the dice without making a gentleman's agreement first... which would be very foolish as Sask does seem like the appropriate place for Franklin to wind up.
  21. The poll on CFL.ca right now asks "Will James Franklin play for the Argos in 2018?" 91% of the fans say no. I bet about 90% of the vote is desperate Rider fans. We will find out soon enough.
