  1. I don't see anyone suggesting Harris isn't a power back. In fact, Harris is a good example of a power back having success in this league.
  2. We have the best and most expensive QB and OL in the league, something must give somewhere. We are so very fortunate we have as many quality veteran players here on discount as we do, especially on D. Winning must obviously pay because guys are leaving money on the bargaining table to stay by most reports
  3. My take on no formal talks is no numbers have been put to paper and sent in either direction, from either camp. Maybe they are being patient and seeing what is left? Or maybe where there is smoke there really is fire and Harris goes to market. He could go to BC and play behind the vaunted BC oline, they will definitely need a check-down guy and Harris is the king of receiving out of the backfield Those posters in the Bomber store come down mighty fast, ask Nichols
  4. Lalji suggests Harris was distracted and not 'all in' coming out of COVID and is willing to move on to keep playing. No initial offers made, but O'Shea wants him back.
  5. Bailey's first official TD was a surprisingly emotional moment for myself and a lot of other fans after having his 2019 Grey Cup TD called back. His hype video leading up to the 2021 Grey Cup sounded like a guy speaking from the heart, not just reading his lines. Winnipeg is the place to be, nobody knows that better than the guys who are already here. We absolutely needed one of Bailey or Lawler back, I'm glad it got done.
  6. My favorite bit is someone suggesting they hold onto their receipts for reimbursement from the gofundme...
  7. I came for the mockery, I stayed for RAM RANCH
  8. BC is working hard to keep that OL together too... 🤮
  9. He deserves more than Whitehead, certainly. I bet Whitehead sells more jerseys (and tickets) though
  10. Definitely a scary thought but if my logic holds that only hastens the virus towards the tipping point of 'I'm killing my hosts and running out of places to live, I need to tone it down and be the flu'... good for those left to see it happen, bad for everyone it tore though to get there
  11. Offense sells tickets. BC is hoping their receivers can do all the heavy lifting for whoever is throwing the ball while running for his life behind that OL. Lucky Lawler Burnham Rhymes Cottoy looks pretty f'ing good on paper to me, to bad everything else is iffy
  12. So I'm not a human doctor but I am an aspiring plant doctor. I have a limited grasp on plant viruses, and though we are not plants the viruses we host are not all that different in their modes. Especially not in their end goal which is to live and spread and they can't do that in a dead host. If it has time and supply, presumably the virus will fine tune to just be enough of an ******* to keep us sick indefinitely, but still hosting and spreading until something else finishes us off without ever directly being the 'cause of death'. I can confidently say that viruses hosted in plants have been around a lot longer than most human-hosted viruses for sure... (plants were here before we were, generally) and these viruses have fine-tuned themselves over millenia to maximize the time they can live and spread within a host before it succumbs to whatever else is killing it and the virus must spread in order to live (can't live in a dead host, obvs). Again speaking generally, plant viruses don't kill a plant, that's never the goal... it just weakens it to other attacks that cumulatively take it down. Now how a virus reacts when only 80%-90% of a tightly packed population gets vaxxed? No idea, never been done with plants that I know of. Plant viruses don't get vaccines*, they get suppressed by eradicating infected crops (I think this is a bad idea to do that to people, just to be clear!) or they hybridize the plant to improve it's resistance to known viruses. Since we humans are all the same species sadly we have nothing to hybridize with. Maybe Bat Boy, and I just don't trust bats right now. *There is one plant considered valuable enough to whip up a vaccine in order to stop a virus, and that is tobacco. When TMV (or tobacco mosaic virus) hit, growers didn't have to worry about 30% of their field being vaccine hesitant, lucky them
  13. What will Stanback be seeking if he outperforms Carey in 2022?
  14. @Noeller Isn't this the guy from your old avatar?
  15. Schiltz is terrible? Relative to QB play around our league today? He's about as good a backup anyone can hope for, and could start for a weak team (OTT). CFL takes what it can get at QB. Schiltz has won games as a starter in this league. We are very fortunate to have Collaros, that much is clear. I'm not looking forward to wandering the desolate QB-hunting grounds in the future.
  16. Hugh O'Neill and Jonathon Mincy released by EDM
  17. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/britney-spears-says-father-took-millions-conservatorship-rcna12694 The plot thickens
  18. -- Speaking of bad adaptions I loved to watch, Wheel of Time was bingeworthy, had plenty of wow moments (cold open to episode 7 my jaw dropped), and is on deck for an even bigger budget in Season 2. It's not a shot for shot retelling of the books and thank goodness, we might actually get somewhere with this
  19. Yep without any prior knowledge of the character that trailer reveals nothing I would think. This is one of few Marvel heroes I can nerd out about to some extent and I'm also pretty puzzled. I know MK has multiple personalities or covers he bounces back and forth from, but it wasn't 'split personality' type stuff where a guy would wake up with a gun in his hand not knowing where it came from. As with all origin stories I'm sure they'll make their own twists to suit the show's style and make for (hopefully) good TV. Who cares about perfect adaptions as long as it's worth watching. All I know is this is a solid leading actor and as hokey as the costume looked I'm hopeful
  20. So we can all agree the D plays a huge role, but Collaros can extend plays and evade pressure like no QB we've had in some time. Collaros keeping the O on the field helps the D stay fresh. They are 2 sides of the same elite coin
  21. I'm not a big Marvel TV or movie guy, but once upon a time I read the comics... and I loved Moon Knight. This will be on my watch list:
  22. One thing Gray has over Desjarlais is a longer reach and stride but he's in no way gangly. I could definitely see him as a RT And we did quite well over those 12 games
  23. Agreed, but Kyran Moore can pile up YAC yards, he's part of the reason Fajardo looked at all decent in 2019. SSK probably believes he's critical to their offense, and he just might be
