  1. Which is so ridiculous because we were running a tempo offense with a lot of success last year and we mostly abandoned that this year. With faster cadence came faster movement and faster reads. Even in that Calgary game there were a couple times where it looked like we upped the tempo and completed some passes and then we just stopped again...
  2. If anything Nichols needs to learn to read the eyes of the defense and give receivers a chance to make a play against a DB that might be in position but is turned the wrong way. The other complaint with Nichols is that once he starts running there is a very slim chance he's going to make a play. That said....Ricky Ray wouldn't have ever been called any better in that regard.
  3. Pretty much what I posted in another thread. As much as it frustrates me to see passing yards of 150-200 every game I agree with White Out that Nichols is our best bet. I'm not even sure that the quarterback is the biggest problem. You see a guy like Masoli that puts up big passing stats but when he's going against a good defense he makes terrible decisions.
  4. He's always been a really good dimeback but is not consistent enough to be a starting corner.
  5. It's pretty disheartening because I think a lot of fans and the team itself thought this might be the year. I guess the good thing is that we are now in a situation where we really think we can win it all. We'll need a couple changes next year to really put us over the top. 1. If we can get Mike Reilly that would be amazing but I don't think it's going to happen. Nichols is a good QB but he is no Mitchell or Reilly. Probably 3rd best QB in the league but it's by a fair margin. 2. Better receivers. We did good to improve our Canadian talent but we still don't have those few Americans that can get open consistently. See: The recruiting of Calgary, Hamilton and Edmonton. 3. Return game/special teams. What happened here? We used to be able to threaten to score fairly often. Seems like there's 3 guys on our returner as soon as he touches the ball. 4. One guy I'm going to single out is Kevin Fogg. Think we need better play out of that position.
  6. That was gruesome
  7. I would have counted them out if it wasn't for what they did to BC last week. Masoli is so hot right now
  8. I think we're playing safer on ST in all facets because we are a better team on offense and defense. Honestly doubt we'll see any tricks now
  9. Good thing our all star calibre center and guard are healthy.
  10. Pat yourself on the back lol. No we needed to be better on both offense and defense. Do you remember our receivers last year? I think we were hanging our hats on L'Damian Washington. We've seen upgrades in Thompkins, Demski and Wolitarsky. If anything we got better on O and D and a little worse on ST (which had given us big plays the last couple years)
  11. The D-Line has been much more consistent since Brandin Bryant got in there. No complaints here.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. Guess they do a lot of evaluation in practice. Or maybe Priester did a Poop
  13. Bombers have gotten it all together at the right time. Calgary may just be getting things back together with their new set of receivers. Sask has been a winning team for the latter part of the year. It is going to be a real fun playoffs to watch. Most power rankings have Winnipeg Calgary and Sask 1 2 and 3 for a reason. Our team is 1 but we are also going to be on the road the entire time
  14. Well hopefully he considers coming back. Good depth player
  15. Sucks for Leggett but I didn't see him contributing any more this year. Having Gray and Jeffcoat is good depth in both lines. How about Trent Corney?
  16. What you're saying is that if they were more unlucky they would be out of playoffs. They've lost almost their entire receiving core. That is about as unlucky as it gets
  17. I don't see how you can consider the stamps lucky in any way. I would say pretty unlucky
  18. Unfortunately Calgary is playing about as bad as they have for years. Hopefully we can take advantage of that next week
  19. Strict probability is not affected by the past. It came down to 2 games for us to win and 2 games for Sask to lose. Yes on a coin flip our odds weren't great but the way the two teams were playing it definitely could have happened
  20. Why would you say that. The way we put the boots to the Riders last week they could have easily lost the last two games
  21. Bombers still not getting any help. Just gotta win
  22. Yeah right now Lulay scares the heck out of me. Sending them to the crossover would help
  23. We are still far from assured a playoff spot and it will be up to our team to get one. We can't really back in
  24. Edmonton winning brings that nightmare scenario where we can finish 10-8 and out of playoffs. I think I'd rather the Lions win. Plus, if BC wins and we beat Calgary next week, then we are playing an Edmonton team that is already out of the playoffs. I'm still hoping for 2nd place in the West.
