do or die got a reaction from Jethro in Bombers Sign Veteran DB
Bo is a good athlete who can really bring the wood. But as a boundary HB, in man coverage ... was burned repeatedly in Hamilton (particularly by Edwards). Despite my trepidations, we do have some guys in the secondary, who need to be pushed. Thinking that Bo might be an interesting concept at S, if he still has enough speed......Cauchy is doing zippo. Wouldn't hurt to get some fear factor, back there.....

do or die got a reaction from DR. CFL in Report Marcel Bellefeuille Being Brought In As A Consultant
Crowton has now been here almost a year and and half......and now we have to bring in MF, to prop him up. Have real trouble believing that Marcel is here just to hand out the cookies, and whiteboards......

do or die got a reaction from Blue-urns in Burke Calls The Team "immature"
At what point do we forget about calling the team "immature".....and simply call it "badly coached"?

do or die got a reaction from TBURGESS in Esks And Als
In the late stages of a close game, your coaching staff has to have some attention to detail......
Wanted to concede safety, but didn't get the call out to the field
Burned 2nd timeout, on something that wasn't going to be overturned
Poor time management on last series, lost probably two plays
Didn't have the short yardage team (Joseph) ready
End up with horrible deep handoff from shotgun
Fail.

do or die got a reaction from MOBomberFan in Burke Calls The Team "immature"
Still a quarterback driven league. We invested a couple years of development on Brink and Elliott.....and cut them both.
We went boldly forward..... with our chronically injured veteran option "gives us the best chance" in Pierce..... in a offence "tailored" for him by Crowton (no, I am not making this up)
Goltz better be the deal.....or this QB thing, will simply cost a lot of people their jobs, moving forward.....sooner, than later.

do or die got a reaction from Floyd in Pre-Season Game #2: Bombers @ Ticats - Kickoff @ 6:00 Ct
It's not all bad:
Burke lived up to his promises, before this game, completely nailed the ugly part......
We have an exact and well scouted idea............ on what not to do...
We have established a psychological edge on the rest of the league.......other fans will expect to win 74-6 every time out
When we do score a TD, it should be absolute major party time
Must admit.....this new optimistic approach is really working for me....

do or die got a reaction from TrueBlue in Cracks In Ig Field Stadium Concrete- Cbc
Since the sod has been turned over for the new stadium.....I have discovered:
We have wind, during Winnipeg winters
Water will pool
Concrete in a 4 season environment, will develop cracks
Just colour me utterly disillusioned.......

do or die got a reaction from Piggy 1 in Odds And Sods....bombers Vs Argos In The New, Big Blue House
Traffic must of been wicked....plenty-of-stragglers drifting in ...
....followed by even more people... departing early....
But at least, the Bombers finally burst out of the gate, quickly......
....and then I wake up....
Bomber QB's threw some truly ugly INT's.....
Argo QB's marched the ball up and down the field....
Double blue must of had 450+ yds....to show for it.....
Jake Thomas, Freddy Harris, Brown, and J.T. Gilmore had some moments....
....but in the main....not enough pressure by front 7, or coverage in back.....
Ryan Lucas looked pretty good.....
The acoustics in this place....could make things pretty loud...
...not that we were going to find out tonight.....crowd wise....
....notwithstanding the ear splitting volume on the PA system....
Argo receivers: open all over field....all night....
Bomber receivers: blowing patterns...not making plays.....
Some good kick returns and very good kick coverage, by Blue
....but completely and totally sucked in... on Argo fake punt....
Markett demonstrated some nice man on man skills, at DB
Renaud recovered own punt and kicked very well.....
....of course having punter as best player....sign of trouble....
At least...main concourse....kept some people occupied......
We still have the worst hurry up offence, in creation....
Buck Pierce didn't complete a pass, but managed to take some hits....
Goltz didn't get many touches.....
Hall had extended time, showed some good reads and poise in pocket....
Clement: good legs, questionable accuracy......
Red zone late 1.....Argo QB drops ball in pocket, picks it up....
.... still has time to make coffee and add milk, before throwing TD pass...
Red zone late 2....Clement/RB blow hand off, then Blue turn over ball on 3rd down..
Brett Cameron got off a poor punt....but made his first FG....
Bomber LB crew got worked over, but good.........
Brett Carter and Jade Etienne led the way (2 grabs each)
Blue did a good job of keeping offence "under wraps"
....in fact, not much on film for people to look at on D, as well.....
Argos leave at least a dozen starters at home.......
....yet it looked like the other way round, tonight....
Player should be real happy, there is another x-hib game....
...because if not....you could just cut about 25 guys....tomorrow....
Tried to cheer myself up, at the supposed new/improved concessions.....
.....lousy chicken "tender", followed by a lame sausage.....just no dice...
But, contrary to what people might think....night not a total loss...
....actually got back in time, for more gin and 3rd overtime of hockey....
...uh, much more gin.....
Note:
Upon request - Odds and Sods will be running on this site, as a regular blog feature. All O+S's will be collected there. Just wanted to get this one up here, till folks got used to the idea.
