  1. Slap the words Back to Back Grey Cup Champions on some merchandise and watch the money roll in.
  2. Vanstone calls them that in nearly every article he writes. I guess he believes in the saying that if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes accepted as the truth (to Rider fans anyway).
  3. He was ranked 3rd overall in the 2022 draft prospects at one point but he deferred his draft year to 2023. Part of the reason this year's draft class was considered to be a weak one is because 6 of the top 20 prospects for the 2022 draft all deferred to next year, including the top ranked player (OL Dontae Bull). Hopefully that means next years draft is a good one (as far as the CFL draft crapshoot goes). Here are the players (and their rankings) that deferred: #1 Dontae Bull, OL #3 Sidy Sow, OL #5 Sydney Brown, DB #8 Tavius Robinson, DL #10 Jonathan Sutherland, DB #17 Lwal Uguak, DL
  4. Yoshi is a prime example of this. Started his CFL career at guard, with BC & Sask. He moved to RT during his first season with us and the rest is history.
  5. DT also mentioned the low passes on the post-game show this past Friday. He wondered if Derel Walker regrets staying in Edmonton to take passes in the shins from Cornelius.
  6. Agudosi
  7. We don't know how long the talk has been going on behind the scenes. There was obviously discussions going on beforehand if PLD went to the draft, expecting a deal to be done. I agree bailing on two consecutive teams is not a good look on him though.
  8. Condell is my guess. Steinauer is also president of football ops so he's probably safe for the time being I would think.
  9. You don't think they talked to his dad, a coach with the Moose, prior to the trade? PLD talked to his dad a lot prior to coming here to find out about the city & organization and he was excited to come here. So if the city and organization aren't the problem, maybe the locker room is a bad as speculation would have it?
  10. I think Chris Jones has for a play or two but not much and with the way he uses his players, it's hard to tell if that was the intent. They've had him listed on their depth chart as a receiver most games. They did have him, Ford and Arbuckle listed as QB's in week two though (Arbuckle was the only one to record any stat so I'd have to watch the game again to see if Ford or Locksley took the field at all).
  11. You go other places to read about the Bombers?
  12. He forgot to tell those kids to FIFO... big part of being a successful pro.
  13. Tougher to do when the team has been playing so well over the last 2.5 seasons. Nobody has really been getting the gears for as long as they used to but Mourtada & Legghio definitely lead the pack last year. Our running backs might be at the top of the board this year so far.
  14. Ellingson
  15. I just assumed that it was from the tire fire that is the Riders franchise...
  16. Given his history and the clubs current injury issues, Agudosi better be rolling into IGF like this:
  17. The CFLPA could make changes to their system that would make it harder on repeat offenders. An NFL player tried to sue the NFLPA (and NFL) about 10 years ago for not protecting him as a union member. He (and a few others) were singled out and not protected by the PA because they were deemed repeat offenders. The player (Cedric Benson) lost that case so it can happen. Here's an article that came out (prior to the lawsuit being tossed out) that explained how it could happen up here (based on Ontario law): https://lawofwork.ca/nfl-player-files-duty-of-fair-representation-complaint-against-union/
  18. Yeah but his toughness is off the charts... just ask him!
  19. In addition to McMillan, the Bombers also added LB Brian Cole. He was with the Riders in pre-season & was released by the L's a couple days ago.
  20. Their radio guy is also using the same excuse... trash organization, inside and out.
  21. FA - but yeah he's a bit of a ghost. Only thing I've seen lately was a tweet from Recruit Ready, mentioning he was helping some of their young athletes.
  22. At this point, I'm wondering if he's not encouraging it. Almost like he's telling them hey guys, keep doing what you're doing and I'll go to the media with my "awe shucks" persona and vow to be better. Otherwise he has zero ability to run that team.
  23. Given all the positions he holds, it's going to be next to impossible to do mid-season. That's GM, HC and DC. Montreal was able to makes changes because they already had people on staff to replace Khari without violating the salary cap. Not sure the L's can do that.
