  1. I hope the posters complaining about complaining can find some positives for us to talk about after this game because I'm having trouble thinking of any
  2. I don't think 90's night was supposed to include the Reinbold era Bombers.
  3. If you miss making your pick before the first game kicks off, I believe you can still pick from any game that hasn't started yet so you should be fine taking Brady.
  4. Does the quantity matter if the quality isn't there? The Argos added guys like Cam Judge & Janarion Grant. I would take either one over any of our signings.
  5. Yeah I asked the same thing recently. On one hand, we haven't needed to be very active in FA most years but on the other hand we lost/moved on from a higher amount of starters than usual this off season so you would have expected to maybe see at least one impact FA brought in. I look at that as Kenny correcting a big mistake he made rather than the club going out and getting something done. 🤣
  6. The increase didn't get announced until 3 days into FA, so what Hervey did on day one isn't really applicable. FTR, most GM's, at least a few months ago, were claiming that the raise didn't affect their plans. https://3downnation.com/2025/03/22/which-cfl-teams-plan-to-spend-to-the-increased-salary-cap-ceiling-which-dont/
  7. Looking back at who we "added" in the off season and it's pretty sad. Other than Sterns and Vaughters (neither of whom are blowing anyone's socks off), what value did we actually add? Winnipeg Blue Bombers Added: REC Gavin Cobb (N), DL Brock Gowanlock (N), DB Josh Hagerty (N), LB Jonathan Jones (A), DB Dexter Lawson Jr. (A), RB/KR Peyton Logan (A), LB Enock Makonzo (N), REC Dillon Mitchell (A), QB Shea Patterson (A), REC Jerreth Sterns (A), DL James Vaughters (A), REC Reggie White Jr. (A)
  8. Agreed. Not advocating for him to be brought in - just thinking strictly about what he could add on the field (or more to the point, where we need the most help).
  9. In rotation it probably wouldn't be too bad (obviously not a long term plan though). If he signs with a team, he still has a 2 game suspension to serve so as a mid-season add, we could do worse.
  10. Wonder if he got marketing money as part of his deal? The league was supposedly cracking down on teams abusing that cap loophole so maybe the Bombers did something visible to prove it was justified?
  11. Who said lazy? Maybe dragging out negotiations was part of his strategy. Like you said, there could be many reasons but we have no idea what they are/were. Also never said there was no plan - I said I don't get what his plan was & I'm not referring just to Ford. either. I'm good with letting almost any DB go if his salary is going to prevent us from re-signing or signing players who could help in other areas. There were a number of moves (or lack thereof) that I didn't get.
  12. I used acceptable because Ford said he would have taken the offer had it come earlier. He said they knew what he wanted but didn't get there until the very end so yeah it seems they eventually were willing to meet his asking price (according to Ford anyway). I do agree with the HC/GM disconnect though. I can't imagine our scouting team is very happy about busting their asses for nothing either.
  13. I don't think it was a case of Walters moving on since he got to their asking price eventually. He was willing to pay - just dragged his feet on it. Yeah we've heard it before but usually he came with a lowball offer (like Jeffcoat) but this is the first time I've seen it publicly that he was willing to give a player what they wanted but just waited to long. Really strange off-season, imo. Letting guys walk then over-paying for PR players (Mitchell) & giving out unwarranted extensions (ZC). I don't get what the plan was.
  14. I think part of the problem is Walter's approach to things. We've heard from multiple players that they heard nothing or next to nothing from Walters when it came to a new deal. Recently, Tyrell Ford said that their negotiations were pretty slow and Walters didn't come with an acceptable offer until it was too late. FTR, I'm fine with Ford moving on but it makes me wonder how many other players we may have lost in a similar fashion?

  16. He also recently said he has no desire to coach (other than his kids teams). He said he's had a long career and his family life has revolved around that so the life of a coach life isn't really what he wants when he's done.
  17. Lawler is the only pick working for me so I'm going to ride that train again.
  18. Weitz was moved to the PR a couple weeks ago.
  19. Yeah I have no idea why they extended Dyce before the season started. Burke is (afaik) on the last year of his deal so they may be in a position to clean house if they want to eat that extra year of Dyce's contract.
  20. https://3downnation.com/2025/07/11/montreal-alouettes-release-db-don-callis-one-day-after-gimmick-jersey-giveaway-with-aew-wrestler-of-same-name/
  21. I'm sure he will be but they only do one per year for the ROH (with the exception of 2016 when it was first created). He's already in the Bombers & CFL HOF so the ring is the only thing left for him.
  22. Correct but it's Access Credit Union after they merged a few years ago. Red Lobster & Olive Garden were part of the same strip mall but separate buildings (RL was at 803 Leila & OG was 787 Leila). You think incorrectly. The Olive Garden building is now a Salisbury House. It was also a Brannigans at one point too.
  23. I don't think anyone needs to be in the room for this question. It was in regards to football in general, not specifically the Bombers. People like Booch who have played/coached at fairly high levels are more than qualified to answer a question like that.
