  3. So new commish but same old CFL when it comes to some things. They weren't happy about the GC halftime show being announced in 2023 until late September so they committed to earlier announcements. A year later, here we are in early October and crickets. Too busy trying to Americanized the game I guess. https://3downnation.com/2024/06/05/cfl-committed-to-earlier-announcements-for-grey-cup-halftime-show/

  5. Not exclusively - there's enough hate to go around!
  6. We've also signed a few guys to futures contracts over the last few days, https://www.bgmsportstrax.com/2025/09/30/winnipeg-blue-bombers-sign-wide-receiver-tyrone-t-j-davis-to-a-future-contract/ Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign wide receiver Kenneth Womack to a future contract – BGMSportsTrax Meet 2025 Draft Prospect Zovon Lindsay, OL, Coastal Carolina
  7. FWIW, Google AI says we used our expansion window in August when we added guys like Moore, Houston & Echols.
  8. I didn't not have Dillon Mitchell being more impactful than Bo Levi Mitchell ony bingo card for this game.
  9. Low bar! I want three TD's to himself!
  10. Doesn't this assume the officiating crew can promptly get the ball placed quickly? That delay/inconsistency was the reason given for the change but unless I'm missing something, that can still be an issue (except now the clock is automatically running).
  11. He acknowledged that some of the changes had been brought up with the rules committee in the past but yeah not a whole lot of consultation was done (if any). I'd like to be a fly on the wall for the next meeting between MOS & Wade since they seem to be very opposed on this issue.
  12. Had to laugh at Wade's comments. Coaches are going to have to be more aggressive eh? It's very ironic coming off an 8 pass game and running a team that routinely trots out their kicker for long range FG's. Like he does he watch the Bombers?
  13. Maybe a bird flies in and gets nailed.... it's happened in other sports!
  14. Play clock moving to 35 seconds. No more same sideline benches. Rouge stays but modified - only a point for taking a knee or failing to return the ball out of the endzone. Sailing the ball through is not rewarded.
  15. Goalposts being moved back - Fajardo rejoices. Endzones to be standardized but field is going to 100 yards - same width,
  16. Commish starts off the presser by talking about goalposts & rouges so we know 2 changes already.
  17. Why wouldn't there be? If they are trying to go more like the NFL (even if not exactly the same), they'd be going smaller not bigger. It might actually be a better fit in some of those stadiums - smaller would mean Montreal no longer has to have end zones with the corners cut off.
  18. I can't see them doing major changes in-season (the CFLPA would have to sign off on that) but giving people lots of time to digest how the new CFL game looks (like changing field dimensions) isn't a bad thing. No matter what they do, people are going to complain so why not get it out of the way now and say "hey in 2026, this is what the CFL is going to look like". It's odd timing to do an announcement regardless of when they plan to implement the changes but CFL is going to CFL.
  19. Bet it's not. A new revenue deal would be great but wouldn't constitute "significant changes" (plural) as indicated in the press release. I could see it being related the the kick-off study they did last year but didn't follow through with any changes. https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/dave-naylor-cfl-unlikely-to-alter-kickoff-rules-this-off-season-1.2239790
  20. There's been a significant lack of scarves in the league since Ambrosie left. New mandate requiring all coaches and executives to wear them at CFL events.
  21. Lots of parity this year. No easy pick for the #1 team as everyone has taken turns looking like trash.
  22. A vastly under qualified OC using the old junior varsity playbook he created years ago in Quebec?
