  1. We didn't develop January either, he just spent the most time with us (much like Neufeld has). January started 28 games between Sask & Toronto before we got him.
  2. Mekhi Tyrell - he played a few games for the Edmonton Wildcats team last year. 3 games, 5 receptions for 140 yards & 1 TD. 8 kick returns for 164 yards. Not sure if he got hurt or what but he only played in 3 of the first 4 games and then nothing. **Edit** The Elks had added him as a territorial exemption in August but he was removed from their list in November.
  3. Definitely a timing thing. Was not going to be playing ahead of those guys (barring injury) so it's unfortunate for us but that's how it goes.
  4. With him and Chris Edwards both retiring, that's a big financial hit for the league. The money the league collected in fines from those two has probably paid for Ambrosie's salary the last few years. 😂
  5. Only one person suggested there's possible an attitude issue - it's not people pushing a narrative. Who suggested it's on Rhymes? Pointing out he turned down a restructured deal isn't the same as putting the blame on him, especially when the team went and released 2 more starters after that. That's 100% on the team for not managing their cap properly.
  6. You sure about that? Sounds like they wanted him to take a cut, he said no so he was sent packing. https://theprovince.com/sports/no-room-for-rhymes-b-c-lions-release-mr-headtop
  7. Goodell himself openly talked about the idea of a 4 team European division. He said he believed London could support 2 franchises so if you did that with Berlin and Madrid, there's your 4 teams. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-floats-wild-idea-of-possibly-putting-four-teams-in-europe-as-part-of-major-international-expansion/
  8. Got some scrub, not sure if knows anything about ST but I'm sure he'll learn. I think his name is Mike Miller or something.
  9. If you're counting Rhymes, who was released, you should also be counting Baron and Mauger. That's 5 starters gone from last year.
  10. Since someone wants to take a sTROLL down memory lane.
  11. They'll look like a bunch of Young Sheldon's over there.... they can probably skip straight to university.
  12. He played 7 games as rookie in 2021 so it wasn't just a practice roster deal that they extended. Neither Holm or Parker played a game in 2021 so there's the difference.
  13. Ruby back with Ottawa 2 weeks after they cut him to avoid paying a bonus... I really hope they put another off-season bonus in the new deal. Some people don't learn. 😂
  14. Walker signed a new deal at the end of December 2021 (after his 1st season with us) so he was not on his rookie deal.
  15. Looks that way. Have you seen the amount of ads on that page lately? They also decided to do another article on Boomer Esiason a couple days ago (their 2nd this month) on his comments from 2021. I would say they are very desperate right now for both content and clicks.
  16. Very possible. He tried sueing the WWE over head trauma about 10 years ago. His wife was also apparently dealing with some serious health issues (dementia and Alzheimer's) so I've seen some speculation that may have played a role in what happened.
  17. Is it really a great trade if it never happened? Walby was on the d-line with Montreal but they released him as a paperwork type of move and we swooped in & signed him.
  18. Not Eli, the big dude we signed recently. https://www.cfl.ca/players/micah-vanterpool/167632/

  20. Sounds like communication was not an issue for Brady. "Talks of a new contract for Oliveira had been on and off for some time, but ramped up in recent days, with negotiations hitting a crescendo late Monday, just days before the official opening of free agency on Feb. 13. While the Bombers worked closely with his agent, Oliveira was also actively talking with the club despite being on a dog rescue mission in Bali, Indonesia." https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/featured/2024/02/06/oliveira-will-do-his-running-at-home
  21. You're reading way too much into that. I said the right price - meaning whatever works for the team. While I would like to see a proven DT like Baron brought in, I doubt it happens as DT is clearly a spot Walters isn't willing to overpay for since we've let one walk year after year (Stove, Sayles & now Walker).
  22. He talked about potentially donating it, during a post-event press conference. He was going to take time to figure it out. Said there are a lot of good options, he just hadn't put too much thought into it yet.
