  1. Yeah he did his best to hide it but he wasn't moving quite right & the Als had MBT warming up for a good chunk of the 2nd half for a reason. If that happened early in the game, I doubt he finishes so the question is can he last a full game against the Riders? You'd have to think they're going to bring a ton of pressure in order to make him move as much as possible.
  2. I'm going with my heart on this one instead of my head. My head says Alexander coming up lame in the ESF is probably going to mean a 5th stripe. My heart says F**k the Riders.
  3. Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue dies at 84 https://thescore.com/nfl/news/3393028
  4. Another tight race again that came down the end. It's a nice way to end an otherwise disappointing season! Thanks for running this every year Rich!
  5. One team in the visitors room and one team in the Bisons room. Nobody should be in ours.
  6. Back-up QB's have faired well the last few years so hopefully that continues if that scenario plays out.
  7. Historically, we do better in our picks and this year is no different but it's close. On CFL.ca, Pat Steinberg is in the lead with 56 correct picks. The rest of them have 53 or 51 correct picks. For this game, they are pretty split (3 MTL and 2 HAM). On 3DN, JC Abbott leads with 57 correct picks. The rest of their group ranges between 46-54 correct picks. They are picking the Als in this one by a margin of 8-2.
  8. I guess when you've only hosted the West division finals 4 times in over 50 years, it's cause for celebration. Hopefully BC rains on their parade (which I assume is planned for Sunday). Premier Scott Moe declares November 7 'Green and White Day' in Saskatchewan to celebrate Riders' West Final berth - 3DownNation
  9. From what Dinwiddie said at his presser, he was already doing a lot of GM duties in Toronto because MLSE is cheap and ran a lean front office. He actually expects his workload to lighten in Ottawa because Burke will still be doing a lot of the GM stuff (like contract negotiations). Dinwiddie made it clear to MLSE earlier that he wanted to be HC/GM but they were happy keeping Pinball in the GM role so that's what prompted the move to Ottawa.
  10. That's pretty much what most people here are saying. If MOS is not willing/able to make those much needed decisions, then like it or not, we need to part ways. If he can do that though, he should be brought back ang given an opportunity to right the ship. But I would be having that conversation before any extension is given.
  11. He might not scout but it looks like he has more say in the roster than you seem to think, Coaching dominoes begin to fall – Winnipeg Free Press
  12. Steinauer is president of football ops, why would he take a demotion? Also why would Hamilton allow it? They can't block a chance at a promotion but they could deny the Argos permission to talk to him about a lower position.
  13. It is a team game though so I'm not completely blaming Arbuckle (Toronto's defense was really good in 2023 and terrible this year, allowing the most points, by a fairly wide margin). They have bled a lot of talent on that side of the ball over the last couple seasons. Stats can also be misleading and don't tell the whole story so I wonder how much of his numbers came in garbage time? I looked at their season schedule and they trailed going into the 4th quarter in 13 of 18 games so there was a lot of opportunity to put up numbers in a losing situation.
  14. Even if they decided the best course of action is to maintain the status quo? I agree that they have probably earned the right to try to correct things but at the same time, this wasn't an overnight event either. They've let the team veer off course for a couple seasons now and if the best they can come up with is to keep doing the same things that got them here, then I no longer feel they have that right.
  15. Without their starting QB all season. How do you think any other team does in that situation?
  16. And I know a whole lot of people who will help him pack!
  17. With how long he's fought and the number of head strikes he's taken, you can probably add Max Holloway to the list too. He's just not as far gone as Tony.
  18. Yeah didn't make sense for the Bombers to bring him in late either - that would have just burned a year off his rookie deal. Let him sit by a phone that's not ringing for now and try to get him here for a full season next year.
  19. Those "reports" are apparently incorrect. Dana White confirmed they are working with the FBI on this and they (UFC) actually questioned the guy before the fight but still let him compete. Once they saw how the fight played out, they got in touch with the FBI. B.J. Penn arrested for 6th time this year | MMA Fighting CTE is a terrible thing. Here's the cliff notes for Penn's 2025 so far: 1st arrest: Arrested after altercation with his 79-year-old mother (issues with his family stem from his claims that his family had been “killed” and replaced with imposters). 2nd arrest: Arrested for a violation of a stay-away order from his mother 3rd arrest: Arrested for failing to appear in court 4th arrest: Arrested for violating a restraining order by breaching a property 5th arrest: Arrested for entering a property and violating a court ordered protection order filed by his mother 6th arrest: Arrested for third-degree assault on a 45 year old man
  20. Powell in Hamilton is also a pending FA. I would go after him if Hamilton lets him get the open market.
  21. Who's available that would be worth spending on though? Last off-season had a ton of QB movement but I don't know how many are pending FA's?
