  1. I really think they are giving Swiston the year to get his body right. He never had a chance to train properly for several off season due to recovery from injuries.
  2. Although its nice to see the usual kick you when you are down crowd around the CFL back out today.
  3. Walters needs to take the proactive approach like he did last year. If there is a olinemen that is going to go to free agency make a trade like he did for Randle and Willy and get exclusive negotiation rights with him and pony up the cash.
  4. I don't think Paris needs much more motivation after reading some of the stuff out there today.
  5. All it takes is the ability to make a couple moves in the offseason FA or trade to get the Oline to a point where the offense wont be bogged down because of them.
  6. How many times has a cancer been left to fester around this club before its got out of hand. Good move getting rid of a problem before it grows.
  7. I wonder if the 14 olinemen are glad to see him go
  8. Add Quinn Everett to the list would like to see him for the full season next year getting experience.

  10. Was really hoping to see him when they come to Regina next week
  11. There are so many young talented position coaches that have a ton of CFL experience that are intune and flexible enough to start adapting to changing concepts around the league that I feel that's the better route to go.
  12. Goosen needs to start the rest of the way to get experience.
  13. Speed and Size is scary combination saw that last night.
  14. How do you know? Got a personal sit-down with Kyle Walters and Mike O'Shea? And what would you expect them to say if he did? Booker has been an upgrade and a pleasant surprise. And that's what happens when you give a guy you believe in more than one game worth of reps. You keep implying we should have some kind of revolving door where we try guys out and if they fail to excel, we move on to the next one. That's not how any sensible manager of people works. Hickman and especially Booker have shown good things. Those were guys who came after the NFL cutdown period. Exactly what you were crying for, so at least be bothered to acknowledge it. Well, it used to be. Too bad the CFL doesn't have what it used to have called a 5 Day Trial. A player comes in & has 5 practices to impress or he's gone. I can name you so many players who came into the CFL in mid season after NFL Cutdown Day who ended up being stars up here starting as 5 Day Trials. Too bad we can't do that anymore. Like I said, competition brings out the best in players. And I wasn't "crying". I was make a point of discussion. That is what we do around here isn't it? Dan Kepley, Willard Reaves, John Hufnagel, George McGowan, James Murphy, Jeff Boyd, Willie Burden, Jay Washington, Tom Burgess & Kent Austin are guys I remember for sure that came in for 5 Day Trials & played for years. The CFL did away with the 5 Day Trials over 20 years ago. And why do you talk down to people you don't like or agree with? The other mods have sent out PMs to people here asking to show more respect & what do you do??? Oh & one more thing, I don't know what I did to piss you off but if you want us members to have decorum around here & respect other people then practice what you preach & do the same, Mike. Be a leader as a mod & set an example.
  15. SP teams I don't think are as bad as people around here make them to be outside the penalties which have to do a lot with the youth of the Canadian talent on our team. Our kicker leads the league in kickoff distance and has missed only 3 kicks one blocked one hit the upright. I think we are only team with a FG/Punt/Kickoff return td. Had a guy who was the top of yards per return in both kickoffs and punts. The blocks have come with a back up snapper. Given up I think only 2 return TDs. Improving the bottom 1/3 of the roster will help clean up the penalties.
  16. how do they calculate PI penalty yardage? Say a DB takes a PI penalty 40 yards down field, is that 40 yards in penalties? If so then I'd suspect DBs will always be at a disadvantage in terms of penalty yardage. Yes they record the PI penalty yardage against
  17. well he is/was QB coach inEdmonton so it's not to coach.
  18. Petan and Morrisey going back to the WHL is really good news for the World Junior team.
  19. Despite the struggles of the last seven weeks still only one game out and play the team we are behind so still lots of interest. Who knows we may fluke one out in Edmonton this week end and Ottawa beats BC and its a tie with three weeks left.
  20. I actually think the OL now is better than the one Khari had for most of his time here and that never stopped the offense from being one of the most dangerous in the league. Having a RB who can break tackles and receivers who can make plays does a hell of a lot. that line had the one of the best tackles in the league on it Dave Mudge
  21. Yes the big 58 yarder was Leggett getting too aggressive and letting Williams get to the outside instead of forcing him back to the inside. Etch preaches speed to keep the ball carrier from getting to space. Force him back to the middle where you have lots of help to tackle. Williams was getting to the outside way to often.
  22. I would like to see Goosen start the rest of the way let him get some experience into next year. Also think it will be easier to get a olineman or two from a place where there is a back log like in Calgary or Saskatchewan. Someone like a Peach, Vonk or Watman.
  23. it's also upside down must of got it off a knockoff jersey.
