  1. Alrighty with the preseason done and the regular season only a few short days away its time to start the Lock of the Week contest. Rules are pretty simple. 1. Every week you must pick a player that will score a touchdown. Passing touchdowns don't count. Receiving, rushing, return (interception, fumble, punt and kick) count as a TD 2. There is no limit to the amount you can pick a player. If you want to pick Darvin Adams every week than you can. 3. If you fail to correctly pick then you acquire a strike. If you correctly pick you do not pick up a strike. 4. If you miss making a pick for the week you will acquire a strike. 5. All picks must be made before kickoff of the team that your selected player is playing in. 6. 5 strikes and you are out of the game. 7. Last one remaining or the one with the least strikes at the end of the year wins. 8. In the highly unlikelihood that teams are tied at the end of the year. The winner will be the player who has selected the most different players thought the year. Winner will receive a $50 Bomber store gift card Place your picks for week one below.
  2. Bass Hurl Unumba Bass is going to be a good one.
  3. Daniels won that job he was really good last night.
  4. I feel like people were complaining last year they went deep too much on first down.
  5. Khali Bass is a fast I really liked him last night. He could be a good one with some seasoning.
  6. Also can't remember a pre season game where there were no InTs or fumbles.
  7. Not sure what his deal is injury wise but getting Leggett back at the safety spot makes everyone in the secondary better.
  8. Bass has a motor on him. Thought he had a good game.
  9. 5 guys I am looking forward to seeing 1. #RandleIsland at Sam think he is going to be play maker in that spot 2. Suk Chung 3. Stanley Bryant arguably best Olineman in the league 4. Garrett Waggoner on the teams 5. Johmo Gordon
  10. I call BS on this Especially since they stream press conferences all the time
  11. Yup that's him. Gregg Zaun is a Riders fan but Jamie Campbell his broadcast partner cheers for the Bombers.
  12. Now, it's been a few (four...) years since I went to that, but the players were separated in the VIP area. If you have access to that area, it's open bar and pretty awesome (from what I remember....). I wonder if Gregg Zaun will be doing anything... I've missed the past two GC's but in Toronto he threw a pretty good (open bar, concerts, raffles etc) party. My friend got cockblocked by Damon Allen at that party, it was a good'er. Greg Zaun said he was going to be doing something. We gave him a bunch of ideas where to have it. Gregg is a really good guy talks to everyone at the party was walking around with his camera last year taking pictures with everyone.
  13. Back to the topic at hand who is going? I am going to be there.
  14. Got to admit good interview by Lawless, little on the lighter side but still good. https://shar.es/12QTjq
  15. These types of events are like a episode of Mash i remember. I think its in season 6. "The staff itself finds its own way of letting off steam. The people in charge of burning the Chinese uniforms begin to suggest burning other parts of the camp (crates, benches, etc.). Potter sees this as dangerous. However, Sidney tells him that a big bonfire may be what it takes to let people vent their frustrations and get back to work ("They don't want to burn the whole camp, just selected bits of it")."
  16. This might turn into the greatest thread since the Captains thread.
  17. This is the most laughable post you have made. You vs. Blue fanoys? No this is you vs. common sense. You once again got your nose out of joint because the team didn't use your faulty logic when making decisions and you're claiming that it's just team can do no wrong fanboys arguing with you because anyone with any shred of logic would agree with you. Maybe, just maybe when it's you vs. the world you are the one using faulty logic. Us "fanboys" and the teams coaches and GMs all said why not take all the time you are afforded? Sure 5 days is long enough to make decisions, if they had to make more cuts in the next 5 hours they'd be able to do that too, but there really is no harm in taking all the time you are afforded. Do you really supposed that a couple extra bodies around for a couple days really takes away that many reps from people? Hell a guy like Yantz from all accounts is barely taking any reps as is so clearly there's a pecking order established already and the guys with an actual shot at the team are getting the bulk of the reps anyway. Common Sense? Hardly ever see it from you. Obviously you don't know it when you see it. Face it... You're just Aardvaark with an attitude. If the Bombers do it, it's right and everyone who disagrees is wrong and should be taken to task. It's always the same around here. I make a post where I disagree with something the Bombers have done. It doesn't matter what it is... Pencer, Jade, Kelly, Mack, management decisions etc.. The same group of folks, I call them the 'Fan Boys' take it upon themselves to take my comment, usually a single line, blow it way out of proportion as if it's some sort of personal slight and they go off. Usually that's in the form of making things up that I didn't say then complaining about them. Often it includes personal attacks, grade school 'humour' and the ever popular 'You know as much as the coaches or GM's so shut up'. In this case, the concept was simple. I think the Bombers should have made their cuts before the last second because they had a lot of time to make their decisions and because every other team who didn't have to play on Friday did. That's it. The thread goes off the rails for a couple of days. Nothing new's been said since the first hour or so. Really stupid, but that's how it works around here. Sports are a distraction from life. There is too much negativity in the world so I choose not to be overly negative as to not ruin something that gives a few moments in the day to unwind and get my mind off the realities of life.
  18. I thought the kicker might get cut but I guess they will give him a extra game to show off his punting and kickoff offs.
