Nobody is judging him by one play, it's just a funny video that had to be posted. It is one of the first things that comes up on Google when you search his name.

Pav is starting to lose, back to Hutch ...
Atomic replied to IC Khari's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
In what universe did Byfuglien have one side defended??? He was out of the play. Being able to tap a guy with the end of your stick from 3 feet behind doesn't mean one side is defended. -
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has signed International offensive tackle Zebrie Sanders. Sanders (6-6, 320, Florida State, December 4, 1989 in Columbia, South Carolina) was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 5th round of the 2012 NFL Draft, after spending from four seasons with the Florida State Seminoles. He was on the Bills injured list in 2012 and was released in training camp of 2013. Sanders started 50 career games at Florida State, the second most in the history of the school. He was selected All-ACC Conference as a senior in 2011.

Definitely not a Pavelec supporter myself but gbill you clearly do not understand what it means when people say a goalie is out of position. If a goalie bites on a deke on a breakaway, that is not the time to say he was out of position. That is just not the correct use of that term. -
Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania

I thought it was fantastic from start to finish. The ending was incredible. That was a really, really good Wrestlemania. -
C'est incroyable

Never mind "hit of the year", Byfuglien has the whole "top 5 hits of the year" locked up.... maybe top 10.
-
Last year's draft was extremely very weak for all positions. Teams need to restock across the board. It will come down to supply and demand. Is the top tier of OL that much better than the second tier this year? We'll see. But the drop off from the top 3 receivers to the rest could be huge, so teams will want to jump on them early.
-
Everything changes after the main combine. That's when you see guys like Henoc Muamba and Mike Edem shoot up everyone's draft board. I have a feeling the first round won't be anywhere near as OL-heavy as people might think. The Bombers will have a great shot at a top 5 OL with the 11th pick and they should use the second overall on Nic Demski.

Still seems a little pricey to me. I'm like you in that I generally only watch the big PPVs. But I also usually share the costs of those with other people. If that is not an option for you then 11.99 is not so bad. I would probably also watch the other PPVs if I had the WWE network so as long as you watch those you are getting your money's worth. I'd also like to see more NXT so that would be a bonus. If it was like 5.99, I would be all over it. -
Big shock Bogo hurt for the Sabres ...
Atomic replied to IC Khari's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Just so everyone knows, teams and the league are under no obligation to report when players enter drug rehab. Several players enter rehab throughout the league each year and it never gets reported by anyone. It is actually part of their bylaws that they do NOT report this kind of thing as it is believed that allowing these problems to go public can actually make an addiction issue far worse. -
You have an entire generation who grew up with no parents thanks to residential schools. Did you grow up with anyone whose parents weren't around? How did they end up? Now apply that to an entire race for a generation. Now that generation has kids and have no idea how to raise them because they had no parents themselves. And the cycle continues. So who is supposed to step up and lead them? I agree that it has to be natives who lead natives and make the changes. But it is going to take a remarkable person or group of people to lead them, and it might be awhile until that happens because of the long term damage that has been done to their people.

Not terrible. I live in a 7th floor 1BR condo in the south end... About 700 sq feet, no river view. I rent so I don't have to worry about condo fees but my neighbors tell me the fees are around 250. There is no gym or home phone but that includes everything else. Yours seems slightly high but sounds like a nicer place. If you have underground parking I'd say the fees are pretty reasonable. If not, still not so bad. Personally I would never purchase a condo but that's just a preference on my part.

Tickets for potential Jets playoff games won't be cheap
Atomic replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Those prices seem quite reasonable. I wouldn't even think twice. -
I would love to see Sheets here. Maybe he has lost a step but maybe he could also be dominant. He's shown what he can do, he is worth the risk, IMO.

BREAKING: Moose Returning to MTSC Next Season
Atomic replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I doubt they would change the prices but I could see them doing deals where you buy a pack of tickets and get some concession vouchers. -
You would think guys like Russell Wilson and Drew Brees would make NFL types think twice about judging QBs by their height but most still prefer QBs around 6'4 or 6'5. A 6'2 undrafted QB coming out of the CFL already has the deck stacked against him.

They sell green Jets jerseys as well -
I'm no Pavelec defender but that's not even slightly accurate.

Gives us 3 dangerous lines. I like it

The Wild Card race aka hockey's Final Four
Atomic replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Not as much as they would sting if they were regulation losses. -
Yeah but really... The only teams that are actually close to the Jets are the Flames, Sharks and Wild. The Flames just lost Giordano, possibly for the season. That would kill their chances. And the Sharks seem to be falling out of it. There is even word that they are shopping players like Niemi. Doesn't sound like they are gearing up for a postseason run. I'm confident that as long as the Jets don't completely blow it over these last 19 games, they will make it.

Jets played a good game against one of the best teams in the league. They lost in the shootout so they lose the point but they played well enough to have a chance to win. This game gives me hope that they aren't going to just fold and fall out of playoff position.

Frolik could play top 6 minutes for a lot of teams in the league. Not hard to imagine a team like Edmonton or Columbus throwing 4 million+ at him. I love Frolik but can we afford to spend 4 million on him for 4 or 5 years? I'm not sure.
