I was really surprised we pulled the trigger on that one. When I heard Wolitarsky wasn't coming back, I assumed he was done with football. Clercius looked really good last year... Hoping that continues into this year. I see him developing into that really clutch second down type receiver who you can count on to make the play.

I'm confident but I think it's fair to question it. Bryant, Neufeld and Kolankowski are 39, 36 and 33. At some point Father Time always wins. At the other spots you have Wallace and Randolph (maybe Lofton?) who are not rookies anymore but are somewhat unproven. If one or more of the older guys start to show their age, do we have adequate replacements (Eli, Vanterpool, Vibert, Elsbury)? Will the coaching staff be willing to pull the trigger on changes? I'm not worried, I think we'll be ok. But there is some risk there.

We haven't seen much of Bridges really... Bridges started one game last season and spent the rest of the year on the PR or as a 6/7 DB. So maybe a year of development will have paid off. As for Parker I think there is still a ton of potential there and safety seems like the right spot for him.

First practice of the regular season is today. Out with the old and in with the new. Time to get it started.

I'm guessing they are planning to use Devin Adams similarly to last year where he can line up inside and outside. Otherwise they have only 2 DE on the roster right now. It would seem that there is an open spot for Munier-Bailey so I'll be really surprised if he's not on the week 1 roster.

I'm not sure there is any kind of agenda. I think MOS believes he is putting the best football team on the field, he just has a different way of going about it, where he values experience, character, and attitude more than a typical coach might. And this makes him loyal to players... to a fault. But I'd also point out that rookies DO make their way onto the Bombers eventually. It's just usually not on day one, and at the expense of an established veteran. This management/coaching team seems to like bringing guys along on the practice roster for some time before giving them spots over veterans. If you look at guys like Devin Adams, Jamal Woods, Bridges, Randolph, Vanterpool, Wheatfall, Ayers..... they all came in last year and may not have been on the team day one or roster regulars but now they are. There's a good chance guys like Cam Allen, Woodbey and Cooley play big roles this year or into the future. But Evans should have made it over Sheahan, sick of Sheahan.

Which players do you think should have made it that didn't, and which players that made it shouldn't have?

The best rookies from camp may not have made the active roster but Cooley, Woodbey, Cam Allen, and Jay Person were our best new players and they all stuck around on the PR. They'll probably get their shot on the active roster at some point.

The roster numbers indicate there will still be some shuffling before game 1. 23 Canadians 24 Americans 3 Quarterbacks 2 Global That's 52 players total, plus 3 in the IR and Collaros suspended. It's likely they will move 4 Americans and 3 Canadians to the IR. I think Makonzo and Lofton are both hurt but not officially on IR so they will probably be moved there. I suspect they will also stash Kornelson and Novak. 3 more Americans have to go to the IR. I don't know of anyone being hurt. Candidates could be Ayers, one of the Jones LBs, Griffin, or an American receiver such as Mitchell or Sterns. They could also stash an American OL on the IR and start 3 Canadians.
