  1. Pokey has a good catch radius, he's not very tall but he has long fingers
  2. I'd much rather use the American at Center than as the 5th WR but as mentioned before, if we were actually using the rules to our advantage we wouldn't have to choose
  3. If they are serious about playing a TE often then I think that's your answer. The 5th WR (3rd Canadian WR) would be frequently coming out for Daniels, Eli, and/or MCI. I'm interested to see what the offence looks like. That 5th WR might be seeing <20 snaps per game for all we know at this point.
  4. Eugene Lewis
  5. Tony's okay. I think JSK was probably going to take his job if he didn't get injured. They didn't really bring in much competition other than that. Clinton and Cretsinger fresh out of Div 2 with zero NFL interest. Hopefully Tony can do the job.
  6. I am expecting Vaval to open the year on IR and Singer to be the primary returner week 1 but we'll have to wait to hear official word
  7. Some of these guys are going to be going on the IR to start the season because there are 8 OL on the roster and 4 are Americans. They usually carry 6 or 7 on the AR. We'll have to see if Stan is healthy tomorrow. I suspect the starting 5 is Bryant Wallace Eli Neufeld Broxton. Vibert as the gameday 6th OL, with Vanterpool as primary backup for both tackle and guard spots, Elsbury primary backup for the C spot. Both Vanterpool and Elsbury stashed on the IR to start the season if the starting 5 are healthy.
  8. No practice today. First practice is tomorrow.
  9. Can't believe they cut the LB who had a one handed pick six, I guess they weren't moved by it
  10. I count 52 players on the roster plus 2 on 6 game IR. 25 Canadians, 22 Americans, 2 Globals and 3 QBs. Something like this:
  11. I think the overall showing from "new talent" this year is pretty poor. It's been bad for a few years now. I wouldn't expect a lineup of rookies to be competitive but you're always looking for the wow moment from a rookie and I can't say I saw a single one in either preseason game.
  12. DAZN is taking the game exclusively. TSN has the broadcast rights to the remaining games. That means DAZN will have their own commentators, production, and so on. Think like the Amazon Prime NHL games on Monday nights.
  13. Same. Won't affect me at all. But I'm sure for many who use legitimate services it will be a shock.
  14. DAZN is huge and the price just keeps going up every time they add more content. They carry every NFL game. Unfortunately I would guess that there is a very large portion of CFL fans who do not subscribe to DAZN. It's going to be a big uproar on the first Saturday night when thousands of fans can't find the game on TV. How many fans going to pay the 25-35/month for one CFL game per week?
  15. Is it boring? 25% of games will no longer be watchable without a DAZN subscription. That's pretty significant. It's currently 24.99/month for a subscription and that number only goes up.
  16. 100% but you gotta get the takes out while they're hot
  17. I find it extremely strange that two QBs are walking away. Extremely unusual. Even if Wilson could see the writing on the wall, he should at least keep grinding in case someone gets hurt or something else happens. Don't cut yourself, make them cut you. He still could have won the #3 job and had a nice football salary for another year. Very, very weird.
  18. Perkins is a veteran pro, just not a veteran CFL pro. Multiple years in NFL, UFL MVP, etc.
  19. Cobb is practicing in Demski's spot and Corcoran is filling in for Cobb at field WR. Clercius is at SB on the second team. We'll see how that shakes out when camp is over.
  20. I haven't been to camp but here's my best representation of what I can gather of the lineup from reports and other sources. Of course we will get the official pre-season game 1 depth chart tomorrow morning.
  21. He was sitting out of practice yesterday. I wonder if this is some kind of roster trickery.
  22. Ayers at MLB is an interesting development
  23. If the Bombers could win ten games with Hogan at OC I am sure they will win more with Condell who actually seems to know what he is doing. The defence and special teams should be just as good this season as last year. Sure there are depth concerns but after cut down day when every team has 45 players they're all razor thin at at least one position group.
  24. I mean purely from a numbers standpoint it seems like they are barely trying. Aside from White and Pokey there are only 5 American receivers in camp. That is unheard of for a CFL training camp. One of them (TJ Davis) played quarterback in college. It looks like it's basically Dorian Singer and Christian Fredericksen competing for a spot on the practice roster.
  25. I'm actually not totally convinced Lawson will even start at DT... I could see a scenario where it's all-import on the DL with Lawson, Gatkuoth, and KMB in rotation. Maybe.
