Yeah I thought the same thing. It's a ridiculous name but at least they found a way to make it work. I don't agree on the booking. I think Bayley has been getting pushed. She is getting the title spots. She is going to be the ultimate underdog story and you don't get that without looking like the management is against you. There will be lots of time for Bayley and she doesn't seem to be losing fans. Plus Alexa Bliss is the greatest thing to happen to women's wrestling since... I don't even know. I can't recall anyone like her. Incredibly attractive, totally believable in her character, and pretty decent in the ring and still improving. She's the best.

Scott Macdonell never really lived up to his potential in Ottawa. But did he get a legit chance? With our lack of Canadian depth right now, I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a look and see what he's got. -
Well kinda. He's going to lose to Lesnar in a month lol. Gotta be nice for him to get a big win though.

I wish the Bombers were doing a mock game like this! -
No but they just published this Tristan Okpalaugo article yesterday and it's similar to last year's rookie diary. https://www.bluebombers.com/2017/06/03/words-tristan-okpalaugo/

There were a lot of other problems in 2012. Lapo lost control of the offence to Crowton. Both our starting tackles got injured and the "depth" behind them was terrible. We had multiple injuries in the secondary which in addition to cutting Clint Kent really brought us down. Joe Lobendahn was released after being a key part of the 7-1 run in 2011. Buck got injured and our backups couldn't cut it. Just a disaster all around. I don't see the same lack of player depth and turmoil in the coaching staff this year.

Which President's Trophy? For finishing first in the NHL or for being the top defensive player in CIS?

Yeah it's true, our possible #3 QB has been with 4 teams. How many has your starter been with? -
I see women knitting everywhere. Bomber games, Jets games, on the bus, in class while I was in school.... knitting is so hot right now.

Thanks sweep!

True and that's why I think it's a mistake to withdraw... it's important in spirit and how much a nation chooses to invest in achieving the targets is totally within their control. This is an assumption, we can't truly know either way what would have happened. It's a fair assumption but still just that... an assumption. I'm not ready to pat the government on the back for what the private sector and society as a whole has accomplished so far.

This is basically how I feel. I think the Paris Climate Accord is a joke and although you have ~195 countries involved, will even 10% of them actually hit the goals set out by the agreement? I doubt it. It's more for show than anything else.... people will reduce their emissions as technology allows it (in terms of generating clean energy efficiently and reducing emissions from vehicles by switching to electric or otherwise). It will be a natural process driven by innovation, not government intervention. However, because the agreement is actually so toothless, withdrawing from it will cause more problems than it will solve. It's making even more enemies for Trump and America whereas they could easily just stay on with the agreement and ignore its goals like most other countries will.

Cheveldayoff willing to move first round pick

I think he was making about the right amount of money this year. I don't think he's a terrible defenceman, he's a decent 3rd-pairing and fringe 2nd-pairing guy. 3M/year is as high as I would go but I don't think we would get him for that so.... pass. -
Who cares if it's easy? People's lives are at stake.

I think the Esks are going to finish last in the West. Unlike many I do believe the Riders will be slightly improved but you just can't make a crazy move like the Esks did and expect success. Firing a winning GM because he is not fan-friendly enough is exactly the kind of move that destroys teams. And the West is so tight, any little thing can send a team tumbling. BC, Winnipeg, and Calgary are all going to be very good. -
For me, I just think.... can you really hope for anything better from a 7th round prospect? If a guy can have a year like Gennaro and not earn a contract... what's the point of making a 7th round pick at all? Just trade it away for whatever you can get.

Honestly something has to be done about it. It's incredibly concerning that Trudeau and the federal government are just ignoring the issue. Now someone has died trying to walk across the border. It's not right. I have no problem with people seeking asylum for legitimate reasons but this is NOT the way it should be done. It's harmful to border communities, it's harmful to the people trying to cross, and it's harmful to our immigration system. Trudeau can't just keep ignoring it.

True but due to injuries over the course of the season... stuff happens and it's nice to have legitimate options. Not so long ago I believe we were starting Bucknor, T. Sherman, Morley, Greaves, Neufeld, Watson and Kohlert. Seriously that was the starting Canadian lineup for awhile in 2014. Oh yeah and 200 pound Mike Cornell getting reps at DT. How we won 7 games that year I'm not sure.

Sounds more like they didn't try

I'm disappointed because he looked like a pretty good prospect for a 7th rounder. Center, nice size, offensive ability. But nothing to cry about I suppose.

Matt Nichols is still the starter but Mike O'Shea has stated he is "on thin ice" due to having a child recently. MOS believe players should be totally focused on football. Clarence Denmark was busted in the off-season for steroids so he'll miss the first 4 games of the season. Against everyone's better judgment, the Bombers drafted only "players who could bench more than 25 reps at the combine". Walters stated that "CIS football is low quality so I don't bother watching game film." The Bombers traded next year's first round pick to the Alouettes for SJ Green but he retired recently. Terrence Edwards recently came out of retirement but he's dealing with a turf toe issue.
