I guess you start Couture at guard at that point. Or Couture at center and kick Goossen out to guard. Couture is just still so unknown to me. Neufeld has proven he is serviceable at tackle for a couple games at a time.

If it comes down to it I'd still rather start Neufeld at right tackle than Couture at guard.

We may see 8 Canadian starters listed on the gameday depth chart which would allow us to get both those guys on the roster, I think.

People were getting tired of Enzo and Cass. I don't mind the split.... but honestly still don't think either one of them are that great in the ring. I like the idea of Enzo as a cruiserweight but can he wrestle that style? Not so sure. I understand people's frustration with the women's MitB match finish... first-ever women's MitB match and it is "won" by a "man". But would there have been any better way to put so much heat on Carmella? Up to now, the reaction to her has been "meh" pretty consistently. I think this solidifies her as the top heel on Smackdown, which is a good move... that division needs a spark.

Not sure where this idea that Dano can play top six comes from. What is it based on? He is a borderline NHLer at this point in his career. Certainly not top six. Maybe some day. But not now, and maybe not ever.

Yeah that was pretty incredible. Probably the moment of the night. I was hoping Sami would win but I did predict Baron Corbin before the match. Thought Rusev might make an appearance as Shinsuke's replacement after Corbin attacked him but it didn't happen.

Drew Willy will be back in the CFL, we haven't seen the last of him.

In 2014 we tried to take Canadian linebacker Jonathan Beaulieu-Richard from the Ticats but they just activated him so we couldn't do it. There have been other examples but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened and went unreported as well. It's really easy for teams to block it from happening so it rarely happens.

I think the so-called gentleman's agreement doesn't even exist. We've seen teams try to poach players from practice rosters, it just almost always gets blocked by the owning team. Why would they let someone steal their player?

That roster is just the draft.... doesn't include players that Vegas has already signed. Ha. Center is definitely the weakest position available in the draft. It is mostly 3rd and 4th line guys. A few teams have good centers unprotected but have other better players unprotected too like Eric Staal with the Wild but they also have Matt Dumba.

Not much for Vegas to choose from on Winnipeg's list. Overall there are a lot of quality defencemen and some good goalies out there for Vegas but they're going to have a tough time building up their forwards. Meanwhile their stockpile of prospects and picks should be absolutely massive.

So glad they decided they are going to release the protected lists.

So VGK ends up with a first-round pick, a prospect, and a pretty damn good roster player. I wonder how many other teams they can bully into deals like this.

Somewhat concerning to me is that Bridge played pretty well against us and like a raw rookie against the Lions. The Lions were able to get a much better push on the d-line. Pre-season.... yet......

I liked the Stafford signing but he did nothing in pre-season while other guys played well. I honestly believe it was an open competition between he and Denmark for a spot and Denmark just won.

JBR I wouldn't be surprised if you pretty much nailed it there, maybe aside from some injuries clearing up by the time the roster is finalized. Santos-Knox is an interesting one. Did he get any reps at MLB in preseason or just WIL? Of all the LB prospects he did seem to be the only one who stood out at all. I'd be pretty surprised if they cut Johnson and start Fogg at HB if that's what you are implying. Who do you see returning kicks on that roster?

It's a sixth rounder. Nothing to cry about. Anyways if he can switch to OL that is an intriguing prospect.
