I'm excited about Vesalainen simply because I liked him since the U18's but lots can go wrong and lots can go right as these guys develop.

Toronto's defence looks pretty good on paper. Lemon, Woods, Ball, Laing, Gabriel. Lots of question marks on offence though. Injury concerns for Ray, Coombs, Fuller... is SJ Green still the same guy... does Whitaker still have what it takes at 31 years old... right side of the OL looks a little shaky.

The line between right call and wrong call seems clearer to me than the line between wrong call and egregiously wrong call.

He was great in preseason too. He is the real deal.

Just that you can't judge a guy based on his point production against PROS when he is 16. Give Vesalainen two years in the QMJHL and he would be better than a point per game without question.
