  1. I dont' like this hindsight "Our back-up QBs were the shits all along!" stuff, either, because before this season virtually everyone on this board was RAVING about our QB depth and how we could trade one of them for a top pick or roster player or blah blah blah whatever. After this season, there's a lot of revisionist history going on.
  2. Without question, but I'm not certain they blame MB for the current failures, or if they want to blame injuries, etc...
  3. Except the belief is that those poor offense numbers were due to an injured Drew Willy/Poor OL talent rather than MB's ineptitude...
  4. Is he THAT loyal though? He's fired people that folks said he'd never fire and that he personally likes, he's cut players not performing (just slower than some people like). I don't think O'Shea is loyal to a fault, I think he's just patient.... which is likely why so many here have a problem with him. Lotta knee jerk reactions types on message boards. Etch, MB and Kuale say hi and he tossed Etch and Kuale!
  5. Lirim has been arguably worse at punting than place kicking this year. They shouldn't have confidence he can do either spot right now. What?? He's been one of the best (if not THE BEST) directional punters in the league, bar none!
  6. his best days are definitely behind him and I question his durability now, but he's still got some magic in there. Probably should be a lifer in T.O. and retire respectfully...
  7. I'm sure he's got the year-round cabin somewhere on one of those islands on LOTW, so he can go live there full time and play beer league Thistles or something, and compete for the Allen Cup...
  8. Chevy looked really bad.. He looks extremely bloated up. Oh he's huge....that guy's on borrowed time unless he changes lifestyle habits.....but man, he was probably the funniest part of that movie for me. His scene was epic.
  9. This....and I'm not 100% sure because I don't know enough to know enough....but Willy might need to be quicker, too...
  10. Saw Vacation in theatres and didn't LOVE it, but I laughed a couple times for sure....Chevy's still got it.
  11. Yeah, I remember this clearly....Hall and Benny became available first of all, and when people knew that they were on the market, there was a pretty clear indication we'd have to move on from Etch.
  12. Just watched Chris Rock's "Top Five" on Netflix last weekend. Fantastic movie...was really impressed.
  13. he's a legend...all the best in retirement.
  14. Regarding the OC, I think they don't necessarily buy into that "Addition By Subtraction" thing that some on here are keen to promote. If and when someone clearly better and proven comes available in the off-season, they'll make a jump. Similar situation to Etch....I'm not sure they were as keen to make a move on him as people on this board, but when you get a guy like Richie Hall come available, you make the move because it's a clear upgrade. If and when someone comes available that's a clear upgrade, they'll make the move this offseason.
  15. Wish I was old enough to have been there when it was still primarily a country bar. Have heard some great stories about acts that came through when it was a legit honky-tonk back in the day. Went once, about 10 years ago, and had a decent time. Curious, what's in 4-Play now? 'Cause 4-Play shut down right?
  16. If her story is indeed true, I'm wondering if a) Tyler Johnson had a significant other while this happened and if yes is this person aware? My point here is its amazing how many people can be potentially hurt by her sharing this story with the world. Or if you don't want to deal with the consequences of being found out that you were cheating ... don't cheat. This....is all that really matters.
  17. Good one.I'm interested in seeing how our goaltending situation is after 15-20 games. By far the biggest question for me, and I personally believe that's what decides if this team takes another step forward or falls back again. Jets get quality goaltending, they make a strong push for playoffs. If not, they'll really be in tough.
  18. The only tweet I saw after the game said the team was not making him available to the media. I think some people just like to cry and think the worst all the time.
  19. I think apologizing for missing 4 field goals & a convert was unnecessary as Liram didn't mean to do it. He shouldn't have run off the way he did after the game as that was wrong. He has to learn how to face adversity & deal with it when it happens. Not 3 days later. Hopefully lesson learned. He didn't run off -- the team made him unavailable to the media to shelter him.
  20. Massive understatement. This team is a shell of its former self. Their D is so bad right now, it's almost unbelievable. All they really have going is that Tuuka Rask is still pretty damn good.
  21. Bucknor plays way too far off the receiver. I don't know if it's because he lacks speed or what but throwing under him is easy as pie. Somehow he still manages to get burned deep too so I really don't think much of him. Not sure why he is even on this team. Surely Walters could have done better by now. Every corner in that position plays off the receiver. Better to give up a short pass underneath than get burned for a big play over the top and if the qb floats the ball out to the wide receiver then the DB has a chance to break on the ball. Playing off is simply playing the way he's asked to because there is help under neath from half backs and linebackers, there's no help over the top. Wait......you know you're defending Bucknor...........right?
  22. You remember that Willy did play in 17 games last year right? I'm not on the fire Oshea bandwagon (yet) but we can't use that excuse for last year as Willy did not go down early. This year, certainly we can. Sorry...."start and finish and was even relatively healthy"........
  23. Tough to judge him when his franchise QB has gone down early in both his seasons at the helm. At least now we have a competent back-up. Gotta give him next year for sure...
  24. Payroll is lower this season than the two before, right at MLB average. Nice of MLB to schedule the Jays ALDS home games during weekday afternoons so nobody can watch. What is this about it being scheduled in the afternoon? They haven't even determined the time. For us in the MST, it's like Noon on Thursday, and 10:30am (!!!) on Friday...
  25. Interesting that they're admitting it finally and at least APPEARING to do something about it. Keep the boys off the powder...
