Our offense isn't necessarily dependent upon the QB to do everything, as so many here are suggesting. In spite of Nichols injuries, a rookie QB starting the first part of the year, Nichols post-injury struggles, we were still one of (THE?) highest scoring teams in the league....as Booch said, I'm not overly concerned about who our QB is.

I dunno, I have never at any point been concerned about our OL going into this season. If Couture isn't ready to start, they never would have kept him around this long. I also think Cody Speller is a lot better than people realize. I think Geoff Gray is extremely talented and has the potential to start at RG right now, and if he's not ready, Manase Foketi definitely is. I have absolute 100% faith in Walters/Lapo ability to protect the QB because they haven't given me a reason not to trust them in at least 4 years...

Bryant Mitchell signs with the Bucs.....

Can you imagine if Eli is as good as they say he COULD be, amd we got him with a flyer in the 4th Round.......??
-
No chance it happens in TC.....only through injury or a lengthy spell of poor play, but I don't see it happening. If Nichols is back to 100% health, I think his game rebounds...

When we're getting upset because our starting and back-up QBs aren't at Rookie Camp, we're completely in the wrong place....why would you want them eating reps from the rooks?
-
I've got SJS/BOS in the SCF, so I'll take it no matter how it happens...shenanigans and all.
-
That all seems pretty good actually...

It's not about you caring... You already like football. So how do we get people that wouldn't normally like football to like it...? We can try bringing in players from their country. Not saying it's immediately going to work, but it's a start. Not everything is all about you.

IMO, #1 priority of the off-season.......gotta find a way outta that albatross.

@FarhanLaljiTSN Another CBA detail: All work permits for American players will now be open. Meaning the players will be able to get other jobs in Canada if they chose to stay in the off-season. #CFL

that's the word...apparently Tippett was down to Buffalo or Edmonton, so based on the Krueger news.................................?? I was really pushing for Todd Nelson...that guy did a good job before they hired McLellan...
-
Krueger is great...wanted him with the Oilers. Now we're gonna be stuck with old man Tippett......

if there's one thing this site has been missing, it's Matty Geebrr telling people why they're morons.......

If the Bombers offered me a pass for $100/season, and I didn't get anything but a lanyard that lets me through the gates, I'd be all over that, even living in AB. I could stand at the railing, and if there's an empty seat up top, I can sit there. No drink, no food.....just a way into the building (and I wouldn't say no to the Bombers Store discount that STH get...) and I would buy that, right now...

https://www.chrisd.ca/2019/05/15/jim-beam-social-pass-winnipeg-blue-bombers/#.XNwa7shKhQI This is kind of interesting, but $37/game seems high.....not sure I'd pay that much and not have a seat.

woooooo hoooooooooooo! The new season is nigh.....

True story......and apparently the TV ratings are in the toilet since all Canadian teams are out.

That BC roster doesn't impress me we all...
-
Exactly... It wasn't just Walters saying it. Jones is good...
-
and the other thing is, he really doesn't need the money. He's sitting pretty from his NFL money. I get that you need to make some kinda statement because, in theory, he's a "superstar" (albeit a punter...) but honestly, the guy could do what June Jones did and just take a 50k "salary" and donate it to a charity of his choice...

that's really really good news re: CBA. I think this thing is close to getting done, and they'll have 'er worked out before camp starts on the weekend, for sure. I'm breathing a sigh of relief. Both sides came prepared to work out a deal, one way or another...
