  1. the other aspect is travel...assuming the next logical landing spot is the maritimes, it's been reported in the past that travelling that far east (and vice versa) would be a sticking point...
  2. **** Chris Jones.....he's a piece of **** and a pox on the league....no question. In another, related, subject: **** everything about the Saskatchewan Roughriders organization, especially their "fan" base.....
  3. well.........it's not what some posters here are USED to seeing, so it's not what they'd prefer............and certainly, MOS/Walters confirmed that they were wanting to go in another direction by auditioning Knox and Santos there during TC, but Hurl apparently beat them out for it so *shrugs*.....
  4. Re: Murray's brutal play on Dressler: CFL.CA STAFF TORONTO — The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced on Thursday that Toronto Argonauts linebacker Rico Murray was fined for a dangerous tackle on Winnipeg Blue Bombers receiver Weston Dressler. The league also announced that Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive tackle Cory Johnson was fined for a high hit on Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray. As per league policy, the amount of the player fines was not disclosed.
  5. Depends on the day because MOS checks with Medlock before each game to see what his range is. But he definitely trusts him... There's no question about that.
  6. Sounds like Bond and Hardrick both out this week, with Neufeld in at LG and Foketi at RT. Randle back practicing today, but Mike Miller, Jesse Briggs and Timothy Flanders all non-participants still...
  7. @DarrinBauming Justin Medlock used the word “laughable” to describe his performance this season, and says it is a mental thing and not technical. Medlock called his miss on potential game-winner "upsetting" and that he beat himself up over it. "It's kinda hard to talk about." #Bombers
  8. I actually chuckled a bit about that quote....they know what's up. They'll be better this week...just a shame that it seems to be recurring.
  9. (According to Daren Bauming and others...) Bond is "day to day" and questionable for this weekend. Neufeld in at LG. Randle, Mike Miller and Jesse Briggs should be good this week (dinged recently) Flanders still not practicing. They say he's getting closer, tho...Bauming told he's batting a hamstring. Medlock nailed back to back's from 50+ in practice, and for those asking, Coates is still the holder... Hardrick is "a tough guy to keep down", says MOS, when asked if he's really hurt. They're waiting for an update on him
  10. welll.........that's great timing......
  11. http://3downnation.com/2017/10/24/intriguing-names-in-the-mix-to-be-next-alouettes-head-coach/ "...Sources say Stampeders defensive coordinator DeVone Claybrooks could be a front-runner for the position while Bombers offensive coordinator Paul LaPolice is also high on the list. There will be others..."
  12. apparently he suffered a significant injury......depending on recovery, could be back in camp next spring. This seems like a paperwork move....
  13. QB is 6'3" 220lb Phillip Nelson..........Straughan has agreed to a futures contract, so he'll be back next year.
  14. Abu Conteh and Josh Straughn both cut........also added a new QB along with the aforementioned DE.........
  15. you know why he was playing DB on the weekend, right? Other than he's a crazy, self-absorbed attention *****?
  16. repeat ad nauseum: These are not moves for this year. It's about getting a jump on TC next year....seeing who's worth bringing back next spring.......also, ALWAYS trying to get better at every position. Always bring in more talent across the board.
  17. I was just thinking, the "Grey Cup Tournament", as it were, feels wide open right now....absolutely no clue who might win, East or West....
  18. If the key to the Riders season is needing info on the Bombers from TJ Thorpe, then those assholes are in bigger trouble than anyone thought...
  19. My concern is our players thinking "we have zero chance of losing". That's the biggest thing I'm taking out of post-game comments after the Argos loss. Players were phoning things in. Nichols had a line about "We can't think we're going to beat everyone on our talent, alone...." I think there's guys who aren't focused and aren't treating every game like a playoff game. If you're not dialed in every snap, every game....nearly every team in the league can beat you.
  20. Nichols has been the best QB in the league this year. Do not compare him to either of those guys...
  21. Interesting quote from Nichols in the post game remote.... Said they did a lot of little things wrong, with one example being that they lined up wrong for the final play before the kick (a 1 yd Harris run) and if they'd done that simple thing properly, they'd have had a bigger gain and made the kick that much easier. It sounded like a lot of the team just had their heads up their asses and weren't sharp.
  22. Mike was mentioning that on Twitter... I'm curious if that's part of things...
