Taman bashing still makes me shake my head. If you could see the difference in budget from then to now, and what he was able to accomplish with it........cripes. I have no idea how we were able to have those teams from 2000-2003....

I'm not sure it's fair to say Reilly is "overrated" per se, because he's had ****-all for an OL and took such a wicked beating over the years. Having said that, he DID have a very impressive receiving corps at all times, and perhaps didn't win as much with that as he should have. Also, not sure it's going to be any better in BC this year, at least in terms of his OL.....so, short story long, I respect MR, but I'm definitely not scared of him...

I go back to the first two playoff games under Nichols where he was outstanding.....and the defense screwed him.

hmmmmm........I wonder if it was one of those things where they just never brought him back and nobody said anything. The fact that he shows up in the Twitter sidebar here always throws me for a loop...

I love the Strevelation, but I think he's being massively overrated right now and Nichols massively underrated. Do I think Streveler is going to be really really good? It's likely...in time. He's already a better runner, so I'll give him that. But in terms of reading a defense and operating the passing attack, it's hands down Nichols all day.

I'm re-watching the playoff game vs the Riders, and it got me thinking about certain guys I'm really looking forward to seeing because I think they'll take a "next step" this season.... -Marcus Sayles -- By the end of the season he'd become a bona fide starter. Had all kinds of potential to be elite this year. -Kyrie Wilson -- Love his size and motor. I really think he's going to flourish as a starter, especially next to Bighill. -Streveler -- With an offseason where he knew what his role was going into the next season, so he could fully train and prepare..... Could be something even more special this year.

My question with Eli isn't about desire so much as health. He had some significant injuries prior to his semi-retirement. On top of that, hasn't played in awhile. If he is healthy and able to play, there's certainly no doubting his talent.

Walters is fantastic... If it were up to him, every one of these guys will be a ten year starter...

I'd be surprised if we didn't start the year Bryant - Neufeld - Couture - Foketi - Hardrick..........that's what I'd bet on, anyhow.
