  1. Nothing wrong with competition. Not sold on The Fever but hey time for Davis to make it a moo point and beat him in camp.
  2. Justin Capicciotti also they signed Walter last year trying to get a canadian at running back too, how'd that work out? Jones is being ******** trying to change the ratio before he has the players in place or available to do it.
  3. There is a difference between bringing a guy in at a backup salary to backup Harris as opposed to what the Riders have done and signed the guy expected him to start and paying him accordingly. You can see the difference right? And why one would naturally lead to statements such as over rated and over paid yes? Or is that beyond you?
  4. except those first humans in Africa
  5. No matter what else happens today is a win for the Bombers.
  6. I checked out the Conan reboot because I thought Momoa was phenomenal as Khal Drogo in Game Of Thrones but God was that movie terrible. Not sure if he was saved in GoT by not speaking a real language and looking the part or Conan was just a giant mess all around
  7. what? Clerks 2 was actually pretty good. Certainly among one of the best movies Smith has ever made.
  8. oh please Voyager was a steaming pile of crap and the good episodes of TNG were quite good but a lot of them were ****. DS9 may have started out pretty bad but it hit is stride and was more consistently good in the back half of the series than any of the others. Most of what made it superior was that it wasn't afraid to have characters with flaws. Everyone in TNG was too perfect Deep Space Nine made it feel more human.
  9. He was sort of the "just in case Goosen isn't ready for it" guy at centre. Plus they loved his locker room presence and felt he was a good option as the backup OL for that reason.
  10. yeah DS9 was without a doubt the best Trek series.
  11. Chris Jones "And I would have gotten away with it if not for those meddling reporters!"
  12. The thing is that all of those people have reasons to be dishonest about it, Dunk has no reason to be dishonest. Maybe he got bad info or didn't check the validity of a story, but Jones saying something didn't happen doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot, that guy is a proven cheater and has shown that he'll feign ignorance to cover his own ass before.
  13. That is a really good signing. Not get some tackles and I'll feel pretty good about the DL
  14. Lies, all of the team members are going to show up, even some past team members will be there, everyone wants to go.
  15. give em their 2 chances and if no one scores then it's a tie, problem solved.
  16. yes there are ways to improve the CFL OT for sure, doesn't mean that it's still not superior to the NFL method. Hell you could start it off with a kick and let the special teams determine where a team starts then let the other side have a go.
  17. I already explained why, I felt the villian was the strongest of them all, you want a good bad guy get a british actor. That's where Luke Cage lost steam in the back part of the episodes. That's where I didn't care for Daredevil. Just didn't like the villians. The first villian in Luke Cage I actually enjoyed but he didn't last long enough and got replaced by a lamer one. The Punisher stuff in season 2 of Daredevil was the best part of that series but once that was done it was a big old meh.
  18. hardly. faceoffs are a skill no matter where they occur on the ice, which is why some guys make a very good career out of being face off specialists.
  19. Cato had that good start to his career and fell off the map after wards, seen it happen a ton before so why are people so gung ho on him? Davis might be a total bust but I don't believe Cato is actually the player he initially showed either.
  20. oh god if you think face offs and coin flips are the same thing then this isn't going to go anywhere.
  21. Hockey is totally different, it's a fluid game where the action naturally goes back and forth, in that scenario a sudden death format is completely equitable because both teams have a chance to get the puck right off the opening face off, in football though one team gets the ball based on a coin flip. Sure you can say stop them and get your own chance with the ball but to have the potential of losing without ever getting a chance with the ball is a tough way to lose. The shoot out that the CFL uses might not be perfect but I like it a hell of a lot better than sudden death OT.
  22. I didn't watch the game because fuck the NFL and I really hate the NFL over time format but come on, you engage in gay curling like Atlanta did you deserve to lose. I saw the score in the 3rd quarter was something like 25-3, that's an all time pants shitting.
  23. That's just not true, you can literally ask them to vote on anything. Some places call referendums purely constituational matters and call everything else a plebiscite if you prefer that term but you can put a vote to the electorate over what ever you like.
