  1. How many of his gaudy stats came in 2 absolute blow outs of the pathetic LOLks? There was the big one against calgary too that was a shootout but still for all the yards 2 tds and 2 ints... Game he was injuredhe had a lot of yards but also 2 tds to 2 ints...Pretty pedestrian game against the ticats, pedestrian against the bombers... Ottawa was big yards but 2 tds and 2 ints.. So really we're going to hand awards to Rourke because he absolutely **** kicked Edmonton twice and Toronto once in the first few weeks of the season and then was pretty even in the TD/INT ratio?
  2. 18 game season is a grind. The first 9 games when your team has plenty of rest are hardly indicative of an entire season.
  3. On the internet? Well that's a first
  4. I think you mean serviceable again... He was never good just rode a solid defence and special teams to some win with some game management type play.
  5. It's still only 9 games. I dunno if Demski is the MOC nominee or not, but I have a really hard time giving someone year end awards when his season ended halfway through. What if he completely went into the tank and started turning the ball over left right and centre?
  6. It was however also an easy part of the lions season... and the one head to head with collaros saw collaros definitively come out ahead... AND collaros has gotten better as the season has gone on. Who is to say Rourke would have maintained the pace? You can't use what is essentially a hot start as an excuse to give a guy a bunch of awards. Games played matter and only getting half a season sucks for Rourke but it is what it is. Collaros the the leagues MOP this year simple as that because he's done it all year.
  7. 9 games in the summer! Everyone forgets that the cfl season doesn't start until labour day. Half a season isn't enough to award anyone anything.
  8. On pace means very little. Remember in 2002 when khari Jones was on pace to throw sixty some touchdowns at one point?
  9. Leave lapo alone!!! It's not his fault!!!!
  10. When you're the top team ainec you don't worry about those things. Take care of your own business the opponent doesn't matter.
  11. On the other hand did they leave points on the field because faj and corny as such bad qbs? I dunno things are trending better for the D but still some areas of concern. Getting a fee bodies back will help so probably be fine in the long run.
  12. Things like this are why I believe former qbs make the best offensive coordinators. They have to have a much deeper understanding of the entire thing than other positions.
  13. Yes generally the weekend falls between Thursday and Monday
  14. Wonder what changed prior to last season...
  15. Their record and team isn't even THAT embarrassing. The only reason they think this is the worst team ever is because of all the hype they gave them going into the year.not like they went 2-8 to start the year either si hardly a fair statement at all. Given how the stands look since their soft assed summer schedule I think this is typical rider fans bs.
  16. Agreed, peak Pierce was better. But the injuries put Glenn above imo.
  17. No i agree, lots of bandwagon fans out there. And I look down on all fair weather fans.
  18. Mcadoo built an offense to hide his weaknesses ad much as he could and riderfans had no stomach for it because it was boring.
  19. Rider fans everyone.... I have seen some **** as a Bomber fan, and I watched every god damned minute of it.
  20. Glenn was still the best a bomber qb until collaros showed up probably though so damn rights I can question Kelly's handling of that situation. You got a guy can play at a decent level even with his flaws and you just dump him and roll the dice on unknowns... that's the kind of egotistical move that gets coaches and gms fired and puts teams into a hole it takes years to get out of.
  21. How was that game in calgary last year not just glorified preseason? Collaros got less than a half, dru brown played most of it, the big calgary comeback happened when the defense was basically all the backups... I agree that I don't like the idea of resting guys and all that, play to win every game, but obviously our coaches don't see it the same way.
  22. But they also rested and coasted last season and it worked out.
  23. The ultimate "this guy is a ****" moment was his hissy fit after Bob Irving was rightly calling it a steaming pile on air while Kelly was waiting for his interview to start.
  24. Sure they can. Platforms go out the window the second an election ends anyway. That's the way the system works. The person you elect to represent you and your area can vote however they feel on whatever legislation is put forward. Anyone who voted ucp and is now leery about Danielle Smith being leader has absolute nothing to say. Was clear as day when that party formed that it was PC greed and wild rose ideology coming together. UCP voters are getting what they supported. See if the moderates learned their lesson or not.
