  1. I thought he just showed up there after his NFL dream died. Calgary always had his rights though, didn't they? EDIT - I stand corrected: Daniel Hubert Federkeil (born November 9, 1983) is a professional Canadian football offensive tackle for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. He was drafted fifth overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2006 CFL Draft, but signed with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League shortly thereafter. He retired from professional football in 2009 following a series of concussions, but returned to sign with the Stampeders in 2013 after his CFL rights were traded. He played CIS football with the Calgary Dinos. On April 8, 2013, the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League acquired the rights to Federkeil after trading non-import linebacker Akwasi Antwi to the Toronto Argonauts.
  2. There's a few guys who made their names that way - they'd sleep-walk through the season and then wake up in the playoffs. Claude was the best of them. John Druce was another. Bryan Bickell seems to be also heading that way, he seems to get more points in the playoffs then he does during the season. That could also be a function of ice time and power play time as well.
  3. If he hasn't grown up I'm sure finding his clothes in the shower will turn a light on in his head.
  4. The Kyle Orton of the CFL? Still better than being the Jay Cutler of the CFL.
  5. as we saw by the end of the season last year with Edmonton bringing in Goltz the QB scrapheap gets raided as QB's go down, and Kevie is still king of that scrap-heap.
  6. Kirk Penton @PentonKirk For those who were wondering, the #Bombers have not made an offer for Sam Giguere.
  7. No thanks on Burmi. He and Antropov were my least favorites. But I am kind of negative on Russian players in general. Finnish players not so much.
  8. I would be shocked if Morrissey doesn't make the roster next year. It would be interesting to see Ehlers push for a spot too.
  9. ha ha just listening to TSN 1290 and some guy started talking about the supposed alleged drug issues with a certain player we traded today and boom he was cut off and shut down. And rightly so. It was too bad that he made that stupid comment about the drugs as he was on a good story about how much Dale Hawerchuk has been helping the Jets with advice on young players, and how much he loves Brendan Lemieux. He was saying that Hawerchuk is higher on Lemieux than he was on Scheifele. Anyway, it's funny to note that 24 years ago Dale Hawerchuk was traded to Buffalo in a blockbuster trade, that brought the Jets Phil Housley and ultimately Keith Tkachuk in the 1990 draft, a deal that shaped the Jets for a lot of the 1990's. So it sounds like Dale was instrumental in the Jets getting Lemieux in this deal. We'll see how that works out, but this deal may shape the Jets for the next 10 years too.
  10. oh how I miss Steve Armitage...
  11. randy turner ✔ @randyturner15 UPDATE: Evander Kane will arrive in Buffalo ASAP, followed by the cargo plane carrying his baggage.
  12. I knew this was going to happen when Kane hired Steven Jyles as his life coach.
  13. You gotta love the CFL. Players make their decisions on where they want to play because they want to hang out with their friends. It's like the CFL is one big play-date.
  14. I'd be interested in bringing in Jackson for the Willy chemistry. And we'll need a go-to receiver when Nick Moore gets injured in week 3.
  15. perhaps next year we employ the 10 receiver formation and ask the other teams to give Willy 3 steamboats.
  16. I think that he's referring to their off-season Vegas act that they do with Cleo Lemon...
  17. Any idea if his tools (whatever they may be) would work in the CFL?
  18. So you base your entire opinion of Baltimore on the show "The Wire"?
  19. So if I say I hate the Riders does that make me a closet Rider fan? Oh no!
  20. Is the dude in your avy pic available?? You mean for a date? Not that there is anything wrong with that...
  21. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Football/NFL/2015/02/02/22214451.html He's going to Rehab!
