  1. I'd like to see what the percentage of football players with concussion issues is and how functional they are ten years after their careers are over. Something tells me that LB's and running backs would be the worst off, as they do most of the hitting or getting hit, in the head area. QB's to some extent too.
  2. To be fair, when Rod was blabbing it was semi-relevant as Jason had just broken the BC Lions all time ST tackle record, or something to that effect.
  3. If memory serves, EZerins began as a tight end but converted to decent linebacker. Yeah, he was converted to a middle linebacker by Ray Jauch but settled in at outside linebacker where he played the most of his career in Hamilton. And I still enjoy watching Poplawski torch him in the 1984 Grey Cup - just ran right by him on a crossing pattern and walked into the end zone.
  4. Hope that learns him to stop doing the cha-cha with Glenn January...
  5. OK well if there is something going on let me know, though I'll be towing a bunch of Lions fans with me...
  6. is there going to be a week 5 thread? I need to get my pick in before I head off to Vancouver.
  7. Harris and Arceneaux. Stef Logan is pretty good too.
  8. the thing with Glenn is you never know which one is going to show up, the Glenn who played so well against Montreal or fraidy-cat happy feet McGee that we saw in weeks 1 and 2. I will say that getting rid of Cave on the tackle spot has definitely helped the BC Offence. I expect that if Marcel hasn't figured out a new plan then we're going to see a lot of box stacking by the BC defense and a lot of Willy on his butt again this week. The two-and-outs have to stop. The defense can't be on the field all game like the Edmonton game.
  9. I agree. Our punt and kick-off returning has been a ****-show the last two games.
  10. So if Korey Banks had just shut his pie-hole, he'd probably be playing on Friday. Interesting.
  11. Great that Vancouver is doing this for Geroy. Hope that they pack the house!
  12. Because most other provinces/cities don't have the cash to do that plan. I agree the BC Plan worked awesome but it also cost a buttload more money than either Winnipeg or Hamilton spent/are spending. weren't most the stands/seats left over from the winter olympics also? That played a role, also winnipeg had a stadium to play at so winnipeg is kind of irrelevant here. I don't know, all I know is that the government here spent $500 million on the stadium upgrade, with nary a comment or complaint from anyone, or even any discussion. It just "happened". A few socialists complained after the fact, but it never even was mentioned during the election last year. Imagine if the Manitoba government just decided to spend $500 million on a new arena for the Jets? Every old crank and nut in Winnipeg would be crying the blues and the issue would be debated endlessly. Here, no one even batted an eye.

  14. I'll be there! We haven't bought our tickets yet, but figure that's not an issue in BC. See you guys at the game! Is there any tail-gate going on pre-game?
  15. Yeesh - sounds like Bobby is getting suicidal...if anyone sees him at IGF make sure and give him a hug...
  16. Staying home with the kids while you go and watch football? Isn't that what wives are for? - My dad in 1977 (and 2014)...
  17. I thought this thread was going to be about what games Rod Black was doing the coverage for so I knew which games to avoid.
