I agree the BC Plan worked awesome but it also cost a buttload more money than either Winnipeg or Hamilton spent/are spending. weren't most the stands/seats left over from the winter olympics also? That played a role, also winnipeg had a stadium to play at so winnipeg is kind of irrelevant here. I don't know, all I know is that the government here spent $500 million on the stadium upgrade, with nary a comment or complaint from anyone, or even any discussion. It just "happened". A few socialists complained after the fact, but it never even was mentioned during the election last year. Imagine if the Manitoba government just decided to spend $500 million on a new arena for the Jets? Every old crank and nut in Winnipeg would be crying the blues and the issue would be debated endlessly. Here, no one even batted an eye.

Yeah that was the final straw for me too. Mitch and Bob were being very kind in their comments after the Montreal game despite what a ****-show it was, and on comes Kelly and says "I've been listening to all of the bullshit you guys have been sayin' and I'm pissed off" - on live radio. It was the most non-classy, stupid things I've ever heard from a professional coach. Just unbelievable.

Hamilton 2014 = Blue Bombers 2012. At least Lapo was somewhat likeable as a coach. I still think he shouldn't have been fired.

I spent the year 1997 in Perth Australia, and my boss had season tickets to the Fremantle Dockers, who were an expansion team that year. For reasons unknown, TSN showed the games unedited all last season, then cut out almost the entire third period of the Grand Final, in which the Dockers were playing. It made me incredibly angry. The rules are a bit tough to understand. Essentially if a guy kicks the ball to another guy, and the other guy catches it, it's called a "mark", and now you are awarded a free kick. The object is to kick the ball through the big goal posts. If it goes through, its six points. If it goes through one of the side markers its one point. The game is amazing to watch live, just loved it, especially while quaffing large amounts of Carleton cold and Crown Lager. One of the best things about Footy is every Thursday night one of the TV channels has a show called "The Footy Show" in which all kinds of craziness and non-politically correct stuff goes on. Totally hilarious. The hosts knock back beer the entire show and are pretty plastered by the end. The game started in Melbourne, which is why you have six teams from Melbourne, and only one or two from all of the other major cities. Go Dockers!!
