  1. They just showed the replay on the second TB goal and you can see Perrault deliberately get out of the shooting lane to avoid being hit by the puck, which allowed the puck to get through and a goal to go in. MP should be cut on site/put on waivers - if you aren't willing to sacrifice yourself to block a shot then you should be playing senior hockey in Winkler, not in the NHL.

  3. I've got a lot of relatives living in the US. They're pretty smart too.
  4. The Bernie Sanders drinking game - every time he promises another government freebie, drink someone else's beer.
  5. Not sure anyone said it was an epidemic.
  6. Did he molest six girls at a swimming pool, in one day?

  8. So is this story notorious because of the fact that the person is Syrian, or because he molested six girls in one single afternoon? Have there been other cases in Canada (in it's entire history) of one person molesting six girls in one afternoon at a public swimming pool? Or any other public places? Isn't the number (six) in one go a bit disturbing in and of itself? Wouldn't this story have been widely reported on that fact alone, no matter what the ethnicity of the person doing it?
  9. uh, I apologized. I'm not perfect. I couldn't find the story. And why is reporting on a molestation "promoting hate and intolerance"? I'm just curious. Are you saying that this shouldn't have been reported at all in the name of promoting love and tolerance?
  10. if you look at what the Liberals are doing now in terms of bringing in legislation to fight "Islamaphobia", this kind of suppression will be common-place. Real Orwellian stuff.
  11. all right I stand corrected! Your googling skills are better than mine as I couldn't find this story. Thank you.

Or the only sites that cover it are ones deemed to be "fake news" by certain elements and so therefore potentially they are just made up. So it's a self-fulfilling prophecy - the media that is "trusted" won't report it, so therefore there is doubt as to whether it exists. Case in point - it doesn't appear that the Edmonton molestation story has been reported by the CBC. Is this because they deem it not newsworthy? Or are there other reasons? Is this willful blindness to cover these stories (if this indeed is happening) beneficial to society and the greater good? I am just asking the question.
  13. Ok, have I explained my point now?
  14. Nope. I guess I just wanted to post this as it doesn't seem to be getting much attention, and I am curious as to why. When you look at what's going on in Europe right now, with all of the sexual attacks at swimming pools, perhaps people in Canada need to be aware about them, or perhaps not, I don't know. It's been interesting to see the reaction though to this story on various forums I follow. A lot of visceral reactions and anger that this is even being reported on by anyone, with the excuse that other sex crimes aren't reported on so why is this one making head-lines (though I think six girls being molested by one guy in one day is pretty news-worthy). Is that right, to just cover these stories up completely and not talk about them at all? I don't know the answer to that one, so that's why we discuss these things.
  15. http://www.torontosun.com/2016/07/03/misbehaving-syrian-students-are-a-federal-problem As to why feminists aren't doing anything about the treatment of women? It is totally bizarre, I agree.
  16. I don't think the families of those six girls think this is "minor".
  17. The point though is that from what I've seen, the illegals committing the crimes are people that have been caught and sent back over the border multiple times. There doesn't seem to be any way to stop illegals from coming back over the border and so the Border patrol in the US feels helpless. http://www.latimes.com/topic/politics-government/government/chuck-grassley-PEPLT002489-topic.html
  18. Look what's going on in Europe. I would say that you should start at water-parks, and protect them from everyone.
  19. I didn't know much about Warren before but since she's been mentioned a few times I've done some research. She seems to definitely be cultivating the personality of someone who is fair and wants to take on the establishment. I would hope that she comes out with some less radical more electable policies than Sanders. Every time I tried to do the math on Bernie's spending policies I couldn't make the calculations work. Especially since the US is already $20 trillion in debt. You can't dramatically increase taxation rates and expect the tax base to stay static. This is always mistake number one when preparing these models. The tax base erodes or just moves their capital structures elsewhere. Actually Canada would have been a huge beneficiary of a Sanders government. Trillions would have flowed over the border, though I do think Sanders vs. the Republicans controlled houses would have just ended in one big stalemate.
  20. yup bullying her at the hearings on Sessions was a dumb move for sure. Everyone knew Sessions was going to get confirmed, so just let her talk, do her thing, and then move on.
  21. Dumb as rocks. A bit harsh no? These are our neighbours we're talking about. Some of whom make a living in our fair city playing their hearts out on our football field for our entertainment.
  22. OK, I will let her know that. Just wait until we get Sarah Palin as our ambassador! It just gets better and better!
  23. OK thanks for that. I'll ask my friend what she thinks of this. On another note - more intolerance from the "tolerant left" today...this makes me sad... http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/02/08/tim-scott-reads-bigoted-insults-tweeted-to-him-for-supporting-sessions-nomination/
  24. Do you have stats to support that statement re the decrease in Illegals? Just curious where you got that information from. I can ask my friend regarding the Democrat vote, but first the initial premise that somehow the Obama administration reduced illegals has to be proven. And then the point would also have to be made that until Trump came along, no one was even discussing illegal immigration, let alone solutions to the issue.
  25. A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with several sexual assaults that occurred at the West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark over the weekend. Police were called to the waterpark at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers allege a man followed and inappropriately touched six teenage girls while they were swimming at the waterpark “It’s fairly shocking,” EPS spokesperson Scott Pattison said. “It’s involved and traumatized six individuals and their families.” Pattison said all six girls were under the age of 16. “The girls were very courageous in coming forward and talking to the lifeguard, that’s not always the case,” Pattison said. Soleiman Hajj Soleiman, a Syrian refugee and father of six, has since been charged with six counts of sexual assault and six counts of sexual interference.
