Game 36 : More Snow @ More Rain

What about Lemieux? I think he signed an ELC and then went back to junior last year... -
Game 37 : Chicago of the North @ Second City

at least we had all of those Grey Cups to soothe us...ha ha man that was quite a dry spell. Kudos to everyone who stuck it out. With the Jets back, a new stadium and finally some continuity at the top in both organizations and the talent pools stocked I for-see a lot to be optimistic about for the future. Here's to a great holiday season - I look forward to watching a lot of junior hockey in the next 10 days in a turkey coma. This year I will probably be more interested in the US team though with our young Jets prospects playing there. Take care and Merry Christmas everyone! -

Game 36 : More Snow @ More Rain

I had to watch the Vancouver feed with John Garrett as the color guy, homer extraordinaire. He was going on and on about how that Little goal wasn't a goal, and that the Canucks should contact the league and lodge a formal complaint. He kept saying that the whistle went before Little pushed the puck over the line, despite the replay showing over and over that it in fact did not go off before. And to top it off, he's losing it over a goal that made it 4-1 with only a few minutes left in the game. It's not like it made the game 2-1 with 12 seconds left. Anyway, all I wanted to say is - Merry Christmas Shane Hnidy, Dennis Beyak and of course Sara Orlesky. You guys rock. I only appreciate you when I have to listen to incredibly inferior broadcast teams. We are lucky to have you guys. -

It used to offer lower taxes, but not anymore...

I thought that these graphics were kind of interesting, demonstrating the division in America between Democrat and Republican, and just how concentrated the Democrat vote is in coastal urban centers: Maps were created using IDW (Inverse distance weighted) technique in ArcGIS.

Maurice Leggett signs contract extension
kelownabomberfan replied to blitzmore's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
When we were on the sidelines for warm-up in the first game of the season, Moe was the only Bomber who came over and posed for a picture with my niece and nephew. I didn't expect any of the Bombers to come over, as they were focusing on getting prepped for the game, but Moe came and gave the kids a big thrill. Great guy. Thank you Mr. Leggett, the kids are still talking about that experience. -
What about misogyny? I am being serious here. I still remember meeting an Iowa Democrat (he told me he was a Democrat, and from Iowa) in Vegas and asking him why in 2008 the Iowa Democrats voted for a relatively unknown guy named Obama in the primaries over a well-known famous Hillary Clinton, and he told me with a straight face "I am ready for an African American president and I think it is time. But I ain't going to be told what to do by a woman". And this was a Democrat saying this. I was pretty shocked.

I believe that Nanci Pelosi's daughter said that it was something like 80,000 votes. Pretty close. Reminds me of the 1960 election.
-
yeah two bad picks there all right.

well whatever we decided back then (and there's nothing wrong with a little healthy debate) so far my Finnish friend seems to have been bang on. Poolparty will probably start to really blossom next year and narrow the gap, but right now there was no question who the Jets should have drafted with that second-rounder. So glad to see Laine in a Jets uniform and not in an ugly Oiler or Columbus uniform.

I was just looking at the 1988 draft year and I saw that Chevy was drafted only six picks after Teemu. Did anyone else know that? I sure didn't... On another site I follow a poster pointed out that the Democrats lost 80 or more seats in the two houses on November 8th as well as the presidency. Who gets the blame for that one as the Russians/Assange didn't leak anything on them and the FBI wasn't investigating any of the Democrats who lost those seats.
-
yeah the FBI definitely seemed to give the momentum back to the Trump campaign, though with how grossly inaccurate the polling was the entire election its really tough to say.
-
This goes also for all of the people complaining about the Canadian system when Harper won a majority with 39% of the popular vote. This was an outrage! Then Trudeau wins with 39% of the popular vote and all you hear are crickets.
-
Is this true of Ben Carson too?
-
Yes, I keep seeing this statement being made that Hillary won the popular vote. If that was the factor that determined the ultimate winner, then Trump's campaign team would have devised a completely different campaign. The popular vote as it stands in the US is just a statistic, like how many shots were recorded in a hockey game.

I am not defending his cabinet, but I don't see why skin color or gender is the most important aspect of picking a cabinet. I realize this isn't a "PC" attitude. I am just saying that the people I talked to were frustrated by what they saw as incompetent boobs, no matter what their gender or skin color, being appointed to positions of power in the government (no matter which party was in power) purely due to political reasons, and not because of merit or experience or talent. Is Trump reversing that trend and appointing talented, experienced people (at least perceived to be anyway)? I don't know. I just think saying that they are bad appointments because there are too many "white" people just seems to be reverse discrimination.
-
I have a feeling that no matter who Trump appointed, and how diverse his cabinet would be, that all there would be would be negative comments from the MSM. As I expect every policy he comes up with to met with by the MSM. As every move he has made since the day after he won has been met with the MSM. Here is Jim Brown talking about his admiration for Trump - the CNN commentator is in complete shock: http://www.cnn.com/videos/tv/2016/12/13/jim-brown-donald-trump-cnn-brooke-baldwin-jim-brown.cnn I for one just want to see the best people for the job. I realize in government that is no longer the way things are, and talent and experience have to take a back seat to the PC rules, but I guess I'm old fashioned that way. One complaint I heard over and over again from the many Trump voters I talked to in the US was that they were tired of unqualified people getting all of the jobs in government. Are the people Trump is appointing qualified? If so, then Trump is doing what he was elected to do.

I found it funny that after all of the celebs trying to influence the Electoral College to vote for "someone else", only two votes didn't go to Trump on the Republican side, while on the Democrat side, four votes didn't go to Hillary. After all of the money spent on a last gasp to influence the EC, Hillary ended up being the one getting less votes. I guess upholding democracy was more important than the eternal respect of Martin Sheen and Mike Farrell (who?) When will these narcissists ever learn? No one cares what you think!!

and a Canadian woman was murdered by scumbags in Jordan on the weekend. Must be Buddhists.
