If we lose to the Argos then something's terribly wrong with the team.

I can't see the Lions cutting Reilly. I'm sure he got a big portion of his salary as bonus money up front so there's little SMS gain for BC. I can't see any other team trading for Reilly. They'd get good value this year, but they'd have to renegotiate in the off season or pay the huge salary.

My whole point is Masoli v Evans. I didn't suggest that the D wouldn't make adjustments, that's on you. I said the hugely superior Masoli would have played better than the greatly inferior Evans. You trying to extrapolate from a single data point (A pick) and you're not even doing that properly. 1 pick in 10 min = 6 picks in 60 min. I'm using the 2 QB's entire CFL careers to reach my conclusion. It's also common knowledge that backup QB's with little experience don't play as well as top ranked starters. You may get tired of what you consider my gloom and doom, but I get equally tired of people making stuff up that I never typed then getting upset about it.

And then there were 3... Nichols, Harris and Reilly are the only starting QB's left standing this year and Reilly's been taking a beating.

Masoli is a top QB. Evans isn't even close to being a starter, let alone a top CFL QB. It's ridiculous to ignore the change of QB as a reason our defence suddenly looked better. I'll go even further.... If Masoli stayed healthy, we'd have lost the game big time considering the number of times we gave the ball away.

Masoli was 4 of 4 then ran 20+ yards for a TD. He owned our defence on the first drive. He completed an 11 yard pass on the second set of downs before he got injured. 6 out of 7 with 1 int, 87% completion, 59 yards in 1 drive + 1 play. Evans played like the young backup QB he is. Barely 50% passing for under 100 yards and a pick. The defence didn't change. The QB did.

I honestly don't worry at all about O'Shea leaving. He's got it pretty good in Winnipeg. We stuck by him when most other organizations wouldn't have and he's a loyal guy. I could see PLAP leaving for an HC job this off season tho.

IIRC we're staying in Ontario for the week. With Matthews not making the flight does that mean he isn't practising this week and not playing again next week or is he flying out after the game?

Is is better if I say we've won 4 out of our 5 games against 3 of the bottom 4 teams in the league to take into account that folks think Regina is worse than Ottawa? As for never admitting when I'm wrong... Not true. I grossly over estimated how good BC would be this year and I changed my mind once I saw them play. For a Bomber reference.. I didn't think Nichols would get back to 2017 form and he has.

Agree to disagree on Ottawa. One of their 2 wins is smoke and mirrors. They shouldn't have beaten Calgary, especially considering Davis threw 4 Ints. 3rd preseason game IMO. Riders aren't very good, but they're better than Ottawa. Bombers beat 1 quality team so far, Edmonton. I'm looking forward to this weeks game to see how we do against another good team.

The standard I set was for the bottom teams, not for the Bombers who I've consistently had at #1. The combined record for Ottawa, BC and Toronto is 3-12. One of those games was between TO and BC so one team had to get a win. They are the 3 worst teams in the league right now and no... it's not just cuz we played them. Hamilton, Calgary, Regina and Montreal are all better than Ottawa, BC and Toronto. It may not make them good teams, but they are better than the teams we've played except for Edmonton.
