Ford or Dolegala may still have some upside. Collaros not so much. Also, you're forgetting the stupid contract that the other team would have to take on.

Quite frankly, I think we would have lost if Hammy just kept Ford in and he ran the ride and decide on almost every play. Instead Hammy chooses a different QB on each drive and had them throw deep cuz that was the game plan.

I can't imagine that Collaros has any trade value.

When did Dinwiddie see Brown? Every single day in practice. Every single day in the QB room. At this point in his career, Brown is a QB who showed promise, got a starting job based on that promise, and had some good games. His new coach didn't see him as part of the solution. Quite frankly, choosing Maier and MBT over Brown is pretty damning. I'm sure that the redblacks shopped Dru to all the teams. We gave them the most value. That tells me where the rest of the teams stand on Dru. Not worth a 1st & possibly a 2nd round draft pick & who wouldn't give that up for a 'starting' QB? In Wpg, Brown upgrades our backup QB spot. We now have a chance if Collaros goes down that we didn't really have before the trade. That's worth the price to us.

I've been watching, & I say differently as does the Ottawa staff, who know more than either of us.

I'm happy to have Brown as our #2 QB, but let's not make him into something he isn't. He was the worst starting QB in the league last year and lost his job to Jake Maier this year. He's like a lot of backups who, when they get their chance, don't live up to the hype.

We're not carrying 4 QB's on the AR. Perkins is getting the window or aisle talk as I type.

It's that exact demographic that decided "Eskimo" is an offensive term in the first place. For the record, every demographic has a right to say what is and isn't offensive to them, but taking offence to something doesn't mean everyone has to change to make you feel better. For example, religions are highly offensive to me and my atheist brethren, but being offended doesn't give us the right to tell them they must change and vice versa.

The name Eskimos is offensive to a certain group of mostly white people. I'm an old white guy, and I'd have no problem with the Winnipeg Whitemen. I suspect the same group of white people who find Eskimos offensive would find Whitemen equally offensive. Changing the team's name to placate one group of people also pisses off another group. That said, the name change has little to nothing to do with the lack of fans in the stands & changing it back wouldn't either.
