Mrazek was pulled in the second period I believe due to injury (looked like groin maybe). McElhinney actually stopped all 17 shots he faced in relief.

Game 81 : @ Rocky Mountain Breakdown

Those numbers are scary. Interesting that Copp is our best, most consistent player based on those stats. -

JETS TRADE: Get Hayes, Hendricks, Beaulieu
Tony Fresco replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
I agree that Petan has little value at this stage, but not sure why you keep saying Lindholm is another Petan. Is it because you're expecting him to be in the press box or based on play? Stylistically, Petan is an offensive player who wasn't trusted by the coach defensively, while Lindholm seems to be trusted defensively (based on PK time and d-zone starts) but hasn't put up any offense to speak of. And while his ice-time appears to be have dwindled for the Leafs more recently, he hasn't been a regular scratch. I also don't mind Lindholm as a depth piece and he might even provide some value in the playoffs in case of injury. He can play both Wing and Center, was just over 50% in the face-off dot and can kill penalties. Plus he is UFA so his contract comes off the books for next year. And even though he is 27, because this is his first NHL contract, he is waivers exempt while Petan wasn't so there is roster flexibility if needed. Plus Chevy moved him to get Petan a fresh start - getting a usable depth piece for a playoff run is gravy. -

Interesting rebranding for the Als ... But their team is still a mess. I like the unique approach with the logo on the helmet. https://alsternative.com/2019/02/02/an-alsternative-look-at-the-new-montreals-identity/ Wonder what the switch to New Era might mean for other teams (particularly the Blue and Gold). -

The kid is a freak. This bounce pass to Boeser is unreal. -

Yeah and Leafs fans are flooding the net too. No coverage from TSN. Capfriendly unresponsive at the moment. Who else is getting signed in the mean time? We still need a backup goalie. -
Jets Trade Mason & Armia to Montreal

Don't know much about Bourque. LHD - 6'0, 185 lbs This was his draft year scouting report courtesy of Future Considerations: Haven't watched him at all, but had a rough year stats wise in Laval lat year. Both he and Luke Green spent parts of 2016-17 in Saint John. Not sure if there was overlap, but perhaps Jets would have had opportunity to get familiar with? -

Here's an except of a write up on David Gustafsson from Scott Wheeler of the Athletic. This was written pre-draft when previewing potential targets for the Leafs ... (There were also some GIFs in the article if some of the comments seem a little out of context. Again, one man's opinion, so we will have to wait to see how Mr's Gustafsson projects down the road.

Agreed, I wasn't berating Hellebuyck for the less than .900, he faced far more high danger scoring chances, and there weren't too many soft goals. But Fleury's .940 or whatever it was against the Jets was a significant difference in the series.
-
While it is oversimplified, I tend to agree. Not accounting for momentum swings and a whole slew of other intangibles (hence the oversimplification), that would amount to 9 extra goals for the Jets in the 4 games the Jets lose. Jets likely win at least 2 of those 4 and force a game 7 at a minimum. Unfortunately, it was the Jets who had sub .900 SP% for the series.

Rumours are the Jets are getting a third jersey next year .... and, if true, it won't be the Heritage Classic retro style. Sounds like Atlanta-style baby blue (sorry Aviator blue) as the main colour. https://jetsnation.ca/2018/05/27/are-the-jets-getting-a-third-jersey-next-season/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Exactly, those were deals to either expose a certain player so as not to lose another or deals to take on salary. Marchessault specifically was left exposed on the condition the Knights took on Smith’s contract. Same with Karlsson. Columbus exposed home so the Knights wouldn’t take Josh Anderson. McPhee navigated the expansion waters very well in hindsight. I admit at the time there were other players exposed that seemingly could have made the team even stronger but who knows if there were side deals to leave them alone.

This was interesting too. McPhee debatedly may have had the best individual season by a GM ever. Midas touch.

Not as much here, but reading a lot over the last couple of days, how Vegas was gifted their team, etc, etc. Found this Tweet very interesting:

Logan Stanley named co-winner as his team's MVP for the playoffs. Have to say this has been a positive year for him in his development so good for him to get some recognition. Will be interesting to see whether that continues with the Moose next year. http://www.570news.com/2018/05/04/logan-stanley-mario-culina-share-playoff-mvp-kitchener-rangers/
