That must have been we had tracks on combines & grain carts running out to the trucks.

Our worst year was 2005 - complete drown out - absolutely zero crop. We got 3 inches of rain 20 minutes, when most of the crop was just coming up - that was it for that year.

Last summer was dry but we did have a good crop - the rains we did get were timely. Of harvest I cannot say as much - soybeans were harvested in the snow, some wheat sprouted because we didn't get it off before the heavy Sept. rains.

Literally and figuratively.

This is certainly not one of those years - we'll be happy to finish by the end of May.

If they have that kind of money, it will just get lost in the shuffle when they deposit the cheque, won't make a bloody bit of difference to their finances.

One really has to wonder about all this money being sent out. For those in dire straits, $500 is not enough. For those that don't need it, it's just extra pocket change. It would be really nice if they could do better than a 'one size fits all' approach.

I see that as part of the problem in today's society. If someone is racist, homophobic, or say, anti - semitic, that is viewed as inappropriate and is usually dealt with severely. Yet, other offensive things, such as in this case degrading women and teammates, are seen as less serious, because so many people do it and it is an ingrained part of certain cultures. Hopefully people get to a point where they are just disgusted with themselves.

Most businesses still send bills in the mail, plenty of cheques too.

Meanwhile, most of my American friends / contacts are complaining about the 'unconstitutional overreach' by their state governments. They don't get it, and many truly do see it as a conspiracy and fake news. Or they live in a state where the governor has not taken any measures at all. I honestly have no idea how some people sleep at night - they live in a world where someone is always out to get them, and reality is never reality.

Normally we would be seeding our crops by now - global warming, where art thou?
