  1. If Higgins was a realistic option, I'd be in favor. I don't think he's interested, though.
  2. Well, firstly ... I've known he's been a consideration if they ever replaced Mack for about a year now. What should scare you, if anything, is that the same people who came up with Mack are coming up with Mike Murphy. He's got a strong football IQ though and obviously, he's learned from one of the best. Oddly enough, he used to work for the Bombers as an assistant in the player personnel department during the 1989 season.
  3. Mike Murphy ... long time NFL scout. He'd be my first choice for the job if available.
  4. Respectfully, they're sending a message that they have no respect for proper process and no clue how to be professional and handle things in an appropriate fashion.
  5. As much as I've supported Mack in the past ... and I do feel like a lot of the criticism he receives is unwarranted ... I can only be so patient with the one glaring thing he's failed to address. If he can't get it together and piece together a capable offense after four years, it's time for him to go.
  6. I'm not going to say Goltz deserves credit for four rushing touchdowns because a couple of those were in goal line situations Pierce led them to, but Pierce is still an awful quarterback. I know we're splitting hairs here but really, Goltz is better now and likely in the future. That being said, I still think Max Hall is the end-game here and I still think we're just keeping him from being thrown to the wolves before Gary figures his **** out.
  7. He's also throwing an interception almost once every 20 pass attempts compared to a touchdown once every 50+, which is absolutely horrendous for a QB of any level.
  8. No kidding. I think it's funny when people pull the Labatte thing out like it's a major point for some kind of strong argument. "Look at how Taman went out and got him." Newsflash -- the same thing happened to Taman at the exact same time with Andy Fantuz going in the other direction. It had nothing to do with who the GM was. I could have signed Labatte if I was in charge of Saskatchewan. Just like I could have signed Fantuz if I was running the Ticats. Those guys were the two biggest free agents in recent memory. They both went home. Ho hum. I don't blame Taman for losing Fantuz, I don't blame Mack (or Lapolice) for losing Labatte. You're not going to win a bidding war against geography.
  9. Instead of picking coaches for each position, let's focus on getting a quality head guy who knows how to surround himself with the people that fit his mantra. Burke is not that guy. Especially because, in my opinion, Burke doesn't even have a mantra. He is the epitome of a coach who seems to just be wingin it
  10. No kidding. If they turn things around, they're more than welcome to stay. It IS quite possible, while not probable, that a switch will go on for our offense.
  11. a) Buck hasn't been better calling someone a "dipshit" isn't going to fly, so let's not let that happen again please. c) Even if Buck had been better, I'd certainly hope that isn't the ceiling he's expected to reach as a 7 year CFL veteran.
  12. WHY OH WHY do we keep accepting mediocrity from guys like Morley, Boatman and Denmark when the defense is a freakin revolving door if you aren't in top form.
  13. sell it to me.
  14. As much as I want to disagree, I can't. Our team sucks and while I don't know what the answer is, I'm sure not going to enjoy watching these guys try and figure it out.
  15. How baked are you this afternoon?
  16. why the hell are you teasing me? Consider this a written warning. Next time, I'll ban you. (just kidding)
  17. sell it to me.
  18. Had me worried. Feels weird that the game is late on a holiday though. I expected a 2 PM start.
