Okay. It takes more than one play to make the team or lose a spot.

Who is they? A couple random fans on the Blue Bombers forums? Derek Taylor? Pokey Wilson had 3 catches for 13 yards last preseason and our leading receiver got cut after the first preseason game. As a collective, we’re putting way too much stock in things like preseason yards, targets, etc. Especially with what we know about our coaching staff.

I don’t think he’s guaranteed to make the team either, but 1 target with the second string squad in a half of football isn’t why. … that’s not how targets work

I think some of us have forgotten there’s been a shift in the kind of talent that comes up here. Plug and play is the exception, not the rule. Some of these guys need time to develop. I don’t love Case or Mitchell either but their presence last year isn’t a mark against them

If the CFLPA is saying they need to clarify the process and teams weren’t allowed to be contacted, that really shows there’s a flaw in the process

I think it’s pretty simple to decipher … you’ve wanted the guy for a while, bring him in and make him make the decision for you

I think we’re a bit thrown off by what this draft might do to our ratio and I would’ve taken Findlay over Jaylen Smith too but if I really sit down and think about it, the idea of playing Brady, Demski, Clercius, 2 OL and then having two Canadians flying around at all times is something I like the sound of. Kramdi, Shay, Smith has some real signs of versatility written all over it. Can do a lot with that and Lawson in the middle. Truly.

Counter point: what if we just drafted the next Alex Singleton and Cam Judge?
