Cleaned up all the "boob" pics. Please keep this to off season transactions.

Wouldn't those situations allow them to claim refugee status and no longer be illegal?
-
Shouldn't you be opposed to illegal immigration ... because it's illegal?

This type of thing is becoming common for certain jobs and roles. Anyone who may represent a brand or company to the general public (CEO, athletes, media personalities, etc) will now have clauses written into their contract that they can be fired over this type thing and I don't think it is directly for political correctness reasons, it is for profit. It is to protect the brand. With the new age of social media and mass movements, large amounts of people can quickly boycott brands and companies when a personality does or says something that would alienate a large amount of people. Companies want quick outs when bad press starts to circulate. Does that make it fair that an employee of 20 years is let go for something he says? Probably not, but this stuff is strictly profit motivated. When you are in those roles, you sign a bunch of things saying you won't do "things" that will hurt the brand, and those people have to realize that they can't go and say just anything publicly without a potential impact to their career. They have to be hyper sensitive to what they say and post. And if you aren't okay with that, they need to find another career.

Nyquist gets 6 games for his high stick on Jared Spurgeon.

This isn't a commentary on whether or not all these people should be let into the country, but it is sad that this many people have it so bad in their home country they risk this voyage to get out.

Now that Babcock has set the $6M a year benchmark, it will be interesting to see how it affects other coaching signings like Julien.
-
If we were going to replace Maurice, Julien would have been nice in the off season Never been a fan of Therrien. Then again, Jets probably aren't going to replace Maurice.

NHL experience aside, Scheif and Lowry are the oldest of that group at 23. Think of personal experiences and group dynamics when you have a bunch of people in that age group together. There is often no substitute for life experience and maturity to lead and keep together a group of people.

People complain can rightly complain about some of the individual performances of some of the veterans on the team, but suggesting to trade them all away because we “suck” is foolish IMO. We’ve seen what happens when you go all young with other teams. It isn’t good. There are things veterans do day in day out that impact the team in ways we will never see during a game. You cannot go all young, and it is important for some of those veterans to have an important role on the team. (ie. I don’t think it works if you fill your vet quota by trading away your “star” vets and replace them with 3rd and 4th liners who are vets). Buff needs to play less minutes per game to be more effective overall. I seriously wonder if Wheeler is playing hurt. He has not looked his usual self these last couple of weeks. Not that long ago people are praising his on ice work ethic and effort game in and game out. “He is a guy who leads by example on the ice.” Knee jerk reaction though to take a two week sample and declare that Wheeler sucks and we should trade him and go into a full out youth movement. There is nothing wrong with having players in their 30s. It isn’t a dirty or bad thing. There is nothing wrong with having young players in the lineup. Unless you are going all in and are a legit competition for the cup, having all players in their 30s is a bad thing. Having all young players with no to little experience in the room is also a bad thing. It isn’t an exact science, but you need to find the right mix of old and young. Deciding to trade away MOST of your vets because the current mix isn’t working is foolish

If Helle played well, he played well. The team didn't play well enough to win. That is all people are saying. Don't put wins and losses solely on a goalie or say the goalie didn't play well enough for the sole fact we lost.
