DTonOB got a reaction from K-Shack in Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
Doug doesn't like kicking off in both halves and said so during the Edmonton game and in the post-game show. O'Shea very clearly believes that kicking off twice is okay if he gets the wind in the long quarters. So, I was curious to find how many times each team had kicked off twice (as a proxy for 'taking the wind in the 4th').

Apologies for being away for so long.
You probably already heard the answer, but it was a called QB sneak. And then when Hamilton subbed on too many guys and none stayed out on Wheatfall, he signalled to Strevy/Strevy noticed it (not sure which was really first), and touchdown.

I do have my own database. It's the CFL's play by play and then my charting going back to 2015. I used to have access to the CFL's play-by-play database. It was gone after the switch to Genius, and I'm working at learning how to access their stuff.

In the meantime I rip each game's play by play PDF into various Excel files. From there I work on charting, field goals, punting, 2nd/3rd downs, run game, expected vaule of field position...a whole bunch of things that I think have value for future discussions.

Just pulled out some numbers about the long field goal decision:
    Kicking:
57-yard field goals had been hit 61% of the time (since 2005)
Missed FGs 57 yards and farther had been returned for TD 4% of the time (1/25)
    Punting:
Sheahan's punts from the plus 50: average field position after was the 15 (6 punts)
Drives down 4-8 points, 0:40-1:15 remaining starting from the 25 and in: 4 TDs in 18 drives (including the Crumback in 2023)
    Going for it:
    3rd and 1 converted 85% of time
    3rd and 2 converted 66% of time
(It looked like was 1.5 yards on 3rd down. I really don't think it was a full 2)
