  1. O'shea has taken his fair share of criticisms over the years but it's undeniable that he's been instrumental in turning around the state and reputation of this franchise.

We were the absolute laughingstock of the league and slowly but surely Walters and O'shea have turned the Bombers into one of the premiere destinations in the league and year in-year out contenders.

I have no doubt that O'shea will win a grey cup as a head coach at some point. What I'm glad to see is that he didn't "learn" to do the job here and move on to Toronto to lead them.

    I'm 100% on board with O'shea's extension.

  2. I think the Riders going with Dickenson was the right choice, as much as it sucks. There's no reason a special teams coordinator can't make the leap - look at O'shea. Dickenson has had a long history in the CFL and knows the going ons. Was hoping they would do something desperate like hire Glanville, but oh well.

I really hope they keep Mcadoo. That guy is awful.

  3. I have no problem with Walters denying permission. It's 2 weeks until FA and all of a sudden 2 months of plans change overnight if the OC is gone.

It's not Walters responsibility to appease his subordinates, it's his responsibility to field the best team he can. If Lapo wanted a HC job he could have had it 2 months ago. Shoulda woulda coulda.
Is it Walters fault that Jones walked and left a divisional organization in shambles in almost February? Christ no.

This is just business and I think Walters did the best thing for the club.

  4. Of course the Riders are going to try persuade him, but chances are basically nill that he signs there.

Put yourself in his shoes. A 3 year extension at around 600k per year is going to offered by Edmonton, BC, Sask, and maybe even Calgary throws their hat into the ring.

This very well could be his last contract if he wants it to be as he's not a spring chicken and he's made some decent money in his career.

Abandon the city he played most of his career in (Edmonton), pass up the chance to play in Vancouver closer to family, to play in a dump of a small town in Regina?

I HIGHLY doubt it. People forget that players have a choice of where they want to sign and lots of times money doesn't matter. The opportunity to sell insurance post career isn't going to bait anyone

I mean hey if holding a guy to 2 points is shutting him down go on and believe that.

I already said the jets were too good a team to expect the Oilers to win I  regulation missing half of their top 4 D, but you all act like the jets are so far superior that somehow it wouldn't have made a difference. I am not the only one who sees it, jets fans act exactly like rider fans do.

    Oh. Oilers fans don't. Okay.

  6. I don't understand the Ambrosie hate at all.

This Mexico thing is stupid, but the endgame isn't to have expansion, I guarantee that. The endgame is to make contacts with deep pockets and to have the CFL on their TVs.

CFL viewership is up 5% since last year and Ambrosie actually listens to the fans. If a rule is stupid, he changes it. If the fans want the season up a week, he changes it. It's confirmed that the Grey Cup will be a week earlier next year, which I personally like.

Orridge was way worse in my opinion. He didn't listen to anyone. Ambrosie does.

Even when Nichols completed a pass today, it forced the receiver to hit the dirt and made it impossible for them to make a play. He was absolutely terrible.

The weird thing is he's almost certainly going to be back in the starting position next year even though he sucks. He's what, the 5th best QB in the league? And with Bo gone to the NFL he bounces up to 4th?

Trying times in the CFL as far as QB quality goes. It's an ugly landscape these days

I always laugh how people try and justify their recent loss by going back in time to their great grandpappys days.

Sorry but in today day and age. It’s what have you done for me lately. Sadly there are thousands of Bomber fans that have never seen their team win a Grey Cup. The team you speak of has won Cups in 2007 and 2013. So their younger fans have been drawn in. While it’s getting tougher for the young ones to get pumped about the Bombers.

Go ******* Jets Go. enjoy your dump of a province whose tallest building is 6 stories.

How can you say that after what we saw today??? It starts with LaPo & ends with Nichols.

Nichols misses Adams in the endzone.
Nichols misses Harris in the flats with no one around him.
1st and 10 and no one around for a mile and Nichols hops around on his toes then doesn't take off until its too late even though he had a lane you could drive a bus through
Mitchell had pressure in his face and got the ball out into the hands of his playmakers. Nichols didn't even give anyone a chance.

    The onus falls on him
