How many players have to take pay cuts? Seems almost all veterans have to at some point. So, why sign a contract over a year in length? GMs like Popp will just grind their players anyway. Sometimes just months after signing a new deal. Either sign or be cut. Okay if you're 28 & at the top of your game. Not good if you're 32, a longtime CFL vet & only have a couple of years left to play at a high level.

CFL contracts not worth the paper they're written on. Just a big scam to sign players for the now & not tomorrow.

This is what happens when the UN took the easy way out in 1953. Sign a truce, forget about the war but leave the mess for future generations to deal with. Just like spend happy politicians. Dump all debt on future generations. These same politicians don't care what happens 30 years from now? Let our grandchildren & their grandchildren pay it off. I understand & agree. My point was Orridge tried to prevent testing. It was public pressure as well as the CFLPA who pressured him into relenting. The guy isn't what he seems to be.

The trouble with things like this is the companies that would do this. Chances are, they won't be around in 300 years so what happens to the volunteers cryogenically frozen when companies cease to exist? Would they be forgotten & left to die as systems stop functioning over the years? We weren't born to live a thousand years. I don't believe in messing with things like this. I'm one person who'd pass.

I don't want to wake up in 500 or a thousand years. The world we know won't exist. Imagine if a Viking from 1 AD was brought back to life. He would be absolutely terrified. That would be anyone cryogenically frozen. The adaptation period once awakened could prove to be too much & anyone in that situation might go insane. Besides, the Riders would still be looking for Grey Cup win #5.

If only the CFL had been this diligent about performance enhancing drugs as well as suspending players for such offenses. Orridge had to be dragged kicking & screaming into the 21st century on that one.

I like those old Als unis & logo. Not that there's anything wrong with the ones they have now. They're pretty decent. The modern Larks logo is actually quite good. The Argos OTOH need to do something. It's an old & dated look. The "Pull Together" logo (shown here) where there were oars coming out of the side of a football was really nice but then they went away from that. The Argos need a reboot.

Here's the logo on the side of the helmet during the 1980 season. Joe Barnes is the qb pictured. The Als wore that logo, colours & uniform from 1974-80. In 1974 it was on the back of their helmets. It was moved to the front in 75 & finally to the traditional sides of the helmet in 1976. Or something like that.... Have they gone back to that logo & colours? Or just someone playing on the internet with CFL logos & looks for hockey uniforms?

That's their logos from the 70's when Marv Levy was head coach. They won the 77 Grey Cup & they had that logo.

He has no worries from ownership. No sense of urgency to do anything. We're supposed to be glad we got a team back good or bad.

This isn't a face or heel thing. I don't think the WWE fans like her as a character as she's totally one dimensional. if they weren't booing her the fans seem disinterested in Jax. Whenever she pulls off a power move they boo whereas with the men people cheer face or heel. Compare her to what Braun Strowman did with the Big Show last night. He showed agility for a huge man & people cheered.

That'll really hurt that site after they come back if they have to completely start over from scratch. There may be a ton of members who may never re-register.

AFAIK, the RedBlacks have nothing like we have here. The Als is French. They also have an English version but when I checked it in the past, it wasn't very active. Not that the French one is very active either.
