  1. A typical NFL team has 20-25 assistants so no surprise here although obviously they'll pay for coaches but not their 1st round draft picks.
  2. Nothing good comes from a strong, athletic man striking a woman. Especially one who wants to play in the NFL.
  3. Here's one NFL career over before it even started. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2705313-caleb-brantley-charged-with-misdemeanor-battery-after-fighting-with-woman?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=editorial
  4. Agree, however it has to be the single biggest consideration when comparing the success of the Bombers & RedBlacks. It wasn't an even playing field at all. I also agree that you're right that the Mack regime really hurt this team badly as well as Mike Kelly when he was Head Coach & GM. We're a lot better now but still recovering from their incompetence. Have to give Walters credit for doing a really good job rebuilding our Canadian talent & depth.
  5. Desjardins had a huge head start compared to the Bombers in 2014 starting from zero. We were already handicapped with overpaid & underperforming players under the salary cap. We didn't have the financial resources the RedBlacks had at that time. They could target areas in the Draft & free agency they felt they'd need with veteran players while we couldn't. They had no encumbrances but we sure did. They were able to poach coaches from everywhere. Plus the Bombers were considered a dead franchise back then. Where coaches & players go to die whereas Ottawa had all this excitement & optimism going for them. Players wantd to go to Ottawa but they didn't want to come to the Bombers. It really was a Tale Of Two Cities. Put Marcel Desjardins in Kyle Walters position with the Bombers after Joe Mack in 2013 & maybe he wouldn't be as successful as Walters has been to this point with us. Kyle literally had nothing to work with & was constrained by the problems this franchise had at the time. Desjardins had nothing of the sort in Ottawa.
  6. Aw shucks, don't you feel so bad for them? Now they know what other teams felt like when they poached coaches & management off other teams. Besides, how can you feel badly for Marcel Desjardins after he so gleefully drafted players off other team in the Expansion Draft then mocked the Bombers for having no players good enough to play for them. Love to see the RedBlacks go something like 5-13 this season. The Riders & RedBlacks are 2 teams I hate & despise. In that order.
  7. That's a lot of snow, lol! I really don't mind spring snowstorms as they're totally different than the ones in winter. For one, usually in a day or two the snow is gone. We also don't get the bitter cold that sweeps in from the north after a winter blizzard with the cold north winds. There's no extreme windchills. So, it stays warmer, the snow goes away, the farmers are happy & the forests don't become tinder dry as in Ft McMurray last May. It's a win, win.
  8. Well, have to say... my hatred for the Ducks usurps my disdain for the Oilers (though they are a fun team to watch) so if I tune in to any of this upcoming series I'll be cheering that the Oilers knocks off Anaheim. No liking Perry, Getzlaff & Kesler.
  9. Well, I'm entitled to my opinion as well. I didn't like the guy so it is what it is. I know it's news. It's all good.
  10. None of us are killers.
  11. Truly, who cares about Hernandez? The guy was a dirt bag. Is he really worth even a page here on this topic? If he really cared about his daughter & the rest of his family he'd have used his God given talents to give them the financial freedom & happiness they deserved. Instead, in the end he gave them nothing but sadness & suffering.
  12. He's not wrong to feel the way he does as going to practice & meetings then not playing is a drag. However, he won't find another job that pays like that to not perform. I think had he played for us & started he may still have his passion for the game which he lost over time.
  13. Looks like a heroin overdose. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4436544/Happy-Days-star-Erin-Moran-dies-aged-56.html
  14. This is the hire that the Riders & Als should have done.... http://www.inews880.com/2017/04/22/brock-sunderland-reportedly-hired-as-new-eskimos-gm/
  15. It was a wasted pick as he may never play for us. At the time & even today with a much improved Canadian roster we needed guys then & still need them now to come in & play. He never came here. He may be talented but I think it was a mistake Mack drafted him. This would have been fine if it was the Stamps as they're probably one of the only teams in the league who could afford to take a chance on a player like this because of their depth. Not the Bombers, though.
  16. Signed a futures deal with an NFL club. That'll get him to the OTR's anyway.
  17. Mulamba is still pursuing his NFL dream from what I understand. Pretty sad when a player can make more money being on a practice roster than starting on a CFL team. Then to have GMs like Jim Popp grinding his players to take pay cuts or else.
  18. Yeah, three. How could I forget? That stained glass window is a fresco.
  19. I'd have loved if the Jets had their window. Chicago being the best or one of the best teams in the NHL & two Stanley Cups. If their window broke after that they'd still be happy. Our window hasn't even been delivered yet, let alone installed.
  20. Best Canadian player of all time? Gerry James, Joe Poplawski or Doug Brown? Any others??
  21. They're also delusional. That losing streak of 13 years is something unto itself. How embarrassing. Where's the pride to want to finally end it?? Yeah like, the Flames were going to beat the Ducks with a losing streak like that. LOL!
  22. Wrestlers know the risks. If they still decide to take them, it's their decision. Is it wrong, sure. But again adults making adult decisions.
  23. They're adults. Their choice.
  24. It was gutless. They said Wideman had a concussion & was confused. Well, he never missed a shift on the ice. Why would Hartley put a guy who is confused back out on the ice if he was out of it? Why didn't the Flames take him out of the game? Where was the concussion protocol as Rich said? That hit was just so blatant. Plus, the guy is the worst defenseman on the team making huge money for what he's really worth.
  25. I never understood why taking steroids as a pro wrestler was such a bad thing? These guys are entertainers. They are considered private contractors. They don't play on any teams where thousands or millions of dollars are bet on. They're big boys & know the risks. If they want to jack up & accept those risks, I say go ahead. It's their life. It's their funeral.
