Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread
SpeedFlex27 replied to Atomic's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
U sport is going to have to adapt. Whp pays for the maintenance of the stadiums U Sport teams play in at McGill, manitoba, Regina, Calgary?? CFL teams do out of reven ue charged thru rent. All these teams mentioned in U Sport play for free in their stadiums because of the CFL. So, unless they want to build their own stadiums which maybe they should, U Sport teams will have to buck up. -

Just askin' but if your boss at work decides to implement changes in the workplace does he talk to you or your co worker to ask permission? Nope, it just gets done. The CFL isn't a democracy. -
Last time I looked, the CFL still had 7 mandated starters per game, 21 total Canadians on the roster, three downs, waggle, motion, one yard neutral zone, no fair catch, 12 men per side... Like WTF???

Parent was my favourite.

Why is Clrcius playing boundary WR? He's as slow as mollases. Big target. he should be a slot receiver. Wilson should be the deep threat outside in his place.

Celebrity Jeopardy: Alex Trebek: Burt Reynolds you're up... Burt Reynolds: Ah, I'll take Ape **** for $200, Alex. Alex Trebek: It's not Ape ****. The category is A Petit Dejeuner... Burt Reynolds: Nah, it's Ape ****. Sure...

I'll be okay in the long run.

Let's hope so. With the CFL announcement today, I'm finding it hard to get excited about the game. Maybe I will be by game time, I dunno.

Well, we're not considered major league anymore so it is what it is. The league will follow the money. -

I think the CFL is a lot closer to folding for good than we know to do this. I think there's a sense of desperation here. Fans in other CFL cities just don't go to games anymore. And I predict more changes are coming. -

I agree but this is a done deal. I have a sinister conspiracy theory as to what is behind all this. I think the CFL feels the UFL will survive. That the league will expand & be part of a new lucrative TV deal as well as streaming services. The new CFL field will fit into US Stadiums. The CFL wants to be a part of that expansion. Therfore, next to go will be the ratio & 3 downs. I think the field width will eventually shrink even more to 60 yards. I think the CFL has hit a financial wall & the owners want a new business model. They want to make money. -

I don't mourn the loss of the 55 yard line. I mourn the loss of wide FG return like we saw on saturday. Those returnds will never happen once the rules & field changes occur. The ST play we enjoy will be gone. -

They're messing with a game that needs mo messing with. They need to do things to make the game better by getting rid of the coachss cap. Marketing needs to be better on a ntional level. Those 2 areas need addressing. Not moving the goal posts to the backof the end zone. So, I agree. For a league that wants to up the scoring if they do that, it'll kill it. Why do I think the boys & girls from Genius Sport are behind this? -

People like you that know nothing should say nothing. -
Zach's the best we got. We better appreciate that after the garbage performance we saw by Streveler yesterday. Whether Zach's the right qb, well the Mafia laid this **** on our us & our team. We're stuck with it.
-
Thanks Bob. Bet he's under fire in Ottawa.
-
Surprised he didn't know it would be this way. Maybe he did. A lot of it has to do with inflated egos. Young & inexperienced assistants watching from the outside in on the sidelines & thinking they could do better. In reality, a lot of these guys find out there are situations they never dreamd of having to deal with as head coaches that they never did as assitants. The presssure to win is very high. Some guys do well undr those conditions & others wilt from it all.

Killam used to be this happy go lucky young & hip looking STC with the Stamps. Always with a smile on his face. Now, he looks like a serial killer.
-
The level of crap you say that we see from Collaros is nowhere near the level of crap that we see from Streveler (shown here).
-
After today, I'll never complain about Zach again. I appreciate him now like I never have before.
-
Well, we already had that, right? Playbook, receivers, a young Canadian OL in Dobson. the best deep threat in the CFL in Lawler & an OC in Buck Pierce who while could be predictable at least knew what he was doing. Instead of hiring JJ, Osh ist Osh & promotes Hogan. Who took that all away? Your Canadian Mafia you keep pumping up your chest about.
-
Yeah, it's right up there.
-
You know he's happy, how?
-
Start Wilson.
-
Demski loses his streak because of a no talent qb throwing the ball. So unfair.
