Not disagreeing. Just saying that no qb could play well behind the OL we have now. It was allowed to happen. One off season with a quality coach like the guy in Vancouver (qbmotion on Instagram) would probably do it. Trevor Harris, Nick Arbuckle & Nathan Rourke all work with the guy...

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

They won't either. Milt just lost a son so I won't say anything about him. However, I think Osh is a freaking hypocrite saying tht he cares about player safety. Sure... Yeah, like what he did to Schoen this year. The Collaros finger injury in last year's Grey Cup. The injured he started & played in the 2023 Grey Cup. Some, like Biggie, Collaros, Alexander & Demski couldn't run. Osh needs to shut his pie hole when saying that injuries are no one's business but the team & that he cares about player safety because to me he doesn't show it. If the team announced injuries like they used to I believe this kind of bullshit wouldn't happen as questions would be asked as to why an injured player who is supposed to be 6 gamed are still playing. -
I don' think Collaros is asbad as some are saying. Look how terrible our Ol has become. They've virtually withered up & died the past 3 years. We've gone from having the best OL to the worst. All we seem to do is draft & develop for other teams. We've let Michael Couture, Drew Desjarlais, Liam Dobson go to free agency & lost them all. We never look to improve or spend the money on keeping our players after their rookie contracts expire. So, who do we have playing? Kolo, who is the absolute worst starting center in the CFL, a fading Pat Neufeld at Guard, an over the hill 39 year old Stanley Bryant at LT. This seems to be a pattern with our GM. Draft & sign players to cheap rookie deals. Develop them for 3 years & play them. Then just as they're blossoming, refuse to pay them what they're worth & watch them sign elsewhere. While our GM Walters just shrugs his shoulders while saying buh bye. In the past 2 or 3 seasons ,it seems that more than just a few free agents can't wait leave here fast enough. Which is strange for a team we've been told has a head coach every player in the CFL wants to play for. The team allowed the OL to regress the past 3 years which makes no sense. Why pay your huge starter big bucks to Collaros with a history of concusions so much $$$ then cheap out on the OL? Basically become negligent in protecting Collaros & Streveler? The way the team is run & the decisions being made are just baffling. Protecting Zach should be Job 1, No qb can survive not getting injured or playing well if the pass pro sucks which it now does.

Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

Osh worries about players privacy & refuses to be honest about any player's injury status. Then makes it a game for the media to get any info. Yet doesn't seem to worry about playing them when injured. Makes no sense to me. -

Osh says he cares about his players & doesn't like to talk about injuries or make them public. Yet, there he is playing an injured Dalton Schoen with a bad ankle in the 2023 Grey Cup & this season twice after he re-injured his knee. For a head coach so worried about his players health, why are injured players sin the lineup? It's amazing how often this has happened. Look at that 2023 Grey Cup. If he truly cared about his players health he never would have played them, yet he did. Injured players like Jackson Jeffcoat, Zach Collaros, Biggie, Kyrie Wilson & Rasheed Bailey. If he cared so much then why did they play? Sometimes I think the reason Osh is so secretive with player injuries is so he can play these players with no one actually knowing just how badly injured they are. Back in the day, teams would release actual injury reports. If a player had a knee injury, they'd actually say what the injury was & how long they'll be out. I don;t believe that type of information was detrimental to any player. Why should that be so secretive & why would a player feel his privacy has been violated? These players are public figures. They should realize that injuries are news & fans want to know how long players will be out. If they're injured, then tell us th truth. Don't play a stupid song & dance routine with the media & fans. Don't hide behind some bullshit excuse that no one needs to know what the actual injuries are or recovery time. These type of things shouldn't be a secret. Dalton Schoen re-injured his knee in Calgary then tried to gut it out in Regina only to reinjure his knee again is a prime example of that. How can a head coach claiming to be concerned with his player's health turn around & play Schoen with such a severe knee injury like he has?? -

Milt & people on social media. -
Who was the OC when they were tearing up the league.

He's named Walters. The second Arbuckle falters, Dinwiddie will bench him.

Zach will make the decision to retire. Not MIlt or social media. -
Bang!Zoom! To the moon!!
-
That's a huge blow for the Stamps. Will he go into the HOF as a Bomber or Lion?
-
This is pro football. If they don't show anything then they should be gone. You give them a few games, yes but that's it. Sink or swim. Find the next guy. Walters needs to walk the plank. I'm willing to give Osh another year but this season is Walters doing.
-
The biggest issue to me are both lines. Offensively, It's time for Stan to call it a career. Unless his play is as good or better than someone 10 years younger than he is he needs to retire. There's no way a Tackle approaching 40 can play as well as he did when he was 30. Kolo is a liability at Center. The next guy who can go. He can still be on the roster but as a depth player but not as a starter. He should be chained to the bench with a lock & key & someone drops his helmet in the Red River. Certainly, we know that there are veteran Centers out there available in free agency & we have to sign one of them. I think Neuf can still play but I'm on the fence with him. As has been said, he's one helluva tough player & we need that kind of nastiness out of our guys on the OL. Defensively, we have wasted Willie Jefferson over the past 3 years with the shitty Canadians that play beside him like Thomas. We've neutered what greatness he may have had early in his career with the Bombers when Nevis, Stove & Kongbo caused interior chaos on opposing OL's. Now, it may not be worth it anymore to keep him because of his age & salary after this season. What a bloody waste. The Bombers are the only team I know who deliberately weakened themselves defensively by never replacing someone like Stove, Nevis & Kongbo. Vaughters the same as he gets no help either. It's hard to criticize Vaughters & Jefferson when they have such dreadful Tackles beside them whether it's a 3 or 4 man front. Improve the DL & watch the linebackers & secondary flourish once more. And we'll shave at least 100 points off of our points against.

I dunno. Some teams run an offense where there isn't a lot of hot routes & sight adjustments. I do know the receivers & qbs have to be on the same page when it comes to recognizing coverages & what routes will be run so the ball can be placed where it's supposed to be. It could also be communication or the type of offense Hogan runs.
-
Hot routes aren't designed to be thrown over the middle. Although they can be. They are all quick passes designed to exploit a defense who blitzes & vacates a space. The receiver would catch a pass when the defender blitzes & leaves said space.
-
So is just about every football player in the CFL, UFL & NFL where one hit could be career ending.
-
He was a shitty choice. What's your point? I'm pretty confident that if the team keeps losing at least one or both of the GM & HC will be gone because the team can't go back to the fanbase giving Walters & Osh new contracts. It doesn't matter who we think could be candidates because we won't choose them. So, you can be pissed off demanding we say who should be candidates but no one cares. We can speculate but ulltimately have no say in who gets hired. .
-
Yes, based on 3 consecutive GC lossess with the decisions Osh made on game day personnel & playing injured players. Yes, we were EXTREMELY lucky to win 2.
-
Ken Dryden playing for Canada's National Team in 1969. Two years before he starred with the Canadiens from 1971-78. Number 5 is Defenseman Bob Murdoch.
-
Nothing gonna change until Osh is gone. Which hopefully means next year.
-
At least. Changes need to be made on both lines. We need to upgrade our receiving corps. If there are any free agent qbs out there we need to try to sign one or two of them.
-
Of course you're not interested. You've been singing the praises of the Canadian Mafia for 12 years. Despite decisions that negatively affected the team by both Waters & O'Shea the past 3 years. Looks like they weren't as good as we thought & just extremely lucky in 2019 & 2021 when all the pieces fell into place Twelve years. Time for a change. I'd like to see how Jefferson with just a competent DT beside him before he's released. And in a four man front... with 2 competent DT's.
-
Okay, I see. Yeah, I'd like to see how he plays outside of short yardage just to see what we have.
-
Saying that Wilson brings nothing to the team may be the most daft statement I've read here this season.
-
We should have kep the ball on the ground. Just feed Brady. If we don't get a first down we punt it away so the Riders have a long field to work with. That was a Hogan call. It was dumb. Hogan had already gave up on the running game.
