Thanks. Mini Mack was an incredibly talented player who came from a tough background of poverty in Chicago whose lifestyle caught up with him. First as a pro with the Bombers when he was suspended & then after his retirement as a pro football player. He was a life long gang banger who spent more time in jail than he did outside the institutions that held him. RIP Mack Herron.

I agree but it shouldn't just be the Co-Ordinators on the hot seat. It also needs to be Walters & Osh to answer for this past off season. Like WTH were you both doing? Relying on things out of their control which is never good. With his inkjury & subsequent surgery & recovery, still Schoen may never reach the poiint where he was 2 years ago. Wilson may be a difference maker but what if he doesn't come back?

Fix the receiving corps? The same two people that wrecked it are still in charge & running the team. They spend half a mill on a qb & then cheap out on the receivers for some unknown reason. This isn't 1985. You can't just airlift player in anymore to fix things. The receivers won't get fixed until the off season. If then.

You somehow see that as a sign of weakness rather than strength? Sorry, I'll take a fighter like Vaj every day of the week & twice on Sundays as wherever he went he was loved by his teammates. Had the owner in BC not wanted Rourke back last season thinking he'd sell more tickets then Adams probably would have won the CFL's MOP Award, thrown for over 6,000 yards & quarterbacked the Lions to a Grey Cup.

I think there are some posters here who are hypocrites. Of course, they'll deny they are racists or have ever said anything racist in their life as they're perfect in every way as human beings while criticizing & lecturing others who they feel aren't.

Both our qbs look terrible when they play. We have an aging starter in Zach Collaros whose skills are eroding & a backup in Chris Streveler coming off major knee surgery & who played a brutal game in relief last week. Despite our last two shitty games, we have posters constantly throwing shade on qbs like Fajardo, Kelly, Bethel-Thompson, Harris, Rourke, Mitchell & Vernon Adams. Unless things change. most if not all of those qbs that are always being mocked here will be in the playoffs while we may be on the outside looking in. Whoever disagrees with me can go "Ewwww", "Ohhh", Geez" & laugh all they want but I'll take any of those other qbs over the two we have now. Walters & Osh let our qb position get old with their skills diminished. Collaros was a great qb in 2021 or 2022 but he's struggled since. It didn't have to be that way. We let Dru Brown get away. Since then, it appears that we haven't got another young promising qb coming up. Our GM & HC also let our receivers wither away to the point that they are now the worst receiving corps in the league. A huge failure by The Trinity to replace receivers they let leave. Yet, here we are as a fanbase constantly making fun of other teams qbs when we are clearly a team on the decline.

And they're playing Ceresna without giving his knee a chance to heal.

Where is player safety?

Chris Streveler's first two seasons were 2018 & 19, That was a long time ago. He's not 24 anymore. He's become an aging 30 with the kneeinjury & being forced to play such a physical style of game by Pierce & LaPo. Buck wrecked Strev last season. If his level of play the next time he's on the field as a sub or starter is similar to the last game, then the question is, do you keep Streveler on the roster or elevate Wilson to #2 & make the young 1st year qb (Artoepus) currently on the practice roster the third stringer? Would you cut Streveler? The way the qb situation looks to be shaping up long term, unless we find a talented free agent (perhaps Powell from Hamilton?) we are going to have to suffer through some hard times once Zach's career is over. There just aren't many talented young free agent qbs out there. I'd rather get that **** over with sooner rather than later as a fan. Make it a priority to find another starting qb. Which as we know will probably take awhile as in multiple seasons. The Elks still haven't found Mike Reilly's replacement. (Scary thought).

I was reading the comments down the page in the link after the story itself. First season 2005. Second season 2014. Third season 2026. How can anyone get excited about a comedy series that plays once a decade with 21 total episodes so far? That has all the momentum of a snowball rolling uphill.

Funny how Walters suddenly woke up from his slumber & realized we need receivers yet when guys were available last February did nothing in free agency.

That was a crazy head shot Brown took & you're right the ref saw the play right in front of him & didn't even react. Which is a problem as there needs to be some kind of standard where penalties need to be called.

A few years back I kept hearing a rumour Walters may want to go back to U Sports as an AD at a university in Southern Ontario to be closer to his family. That might be where he ultimately ends up.

Well, we had a receiver who could do that but I guess Walters/Osh decided it was a luxury we couldn't have. It's none of our business as fans, doncha know. That's personal.

Dru Brown wasn't just lit up... He got "Buck Pierced". He was right. That should have been an ejection.

For every one good game he plays, he goes out & plays 5 bad ones. This is his 4th year, at what point do analysts like LaPo stop calling him a young qb?

Walters used to be one of the sharpest GM's in the CFL a few years ago. He was aggressive & took chances. He wasn't afraid to spend money & he had a lot of success. Lately, the past few years it's not even been close. We just can't have this kind of complacency by Walters or MOS. As far as Osh goes, some of his comments & decisions are like he lives in the 4th dimension. Things need to change.
