Would you believe I fell asleep just when Montreal scored to make it 14-14 tie? I remember saying to my wife that we have a heckuva game going here. That was the last thing I remember. Next thing I knew it was 1;30 am. I had just got home from football practice. I'm back coaching high school football after 14 years, can you believe that?? Anyway, it's been in the high 20's all week here in YYC with the sun beating down so my energy was just zapped. I'm lucky I pvr'd the game so I'll have to watch today or tomorrow. Great win by the team. I'll give credit where credit is due. Nice to hear Alexander was melting down on the sidelines. I look forward to seeing that when I watch. Hey Noeller, you may hate Fajardo. The Als need a new stadium. Probably in the 30000 range for capacity. The French Canadian kids have really taken to football. It seems to be having a renaissance in Quebec . It blows in Alberta, Southern Ontario & Toronto. Toronto is a lost cause but crowds would come back in Ottawa & Hamilton with winning teams. The City of Calgary yesterday announced a feasibility study for a new football stadium. For us that want it to be a reality, that's huge considering a football stadium was never even talked about before. The Mayor, Jeromy Farkas was a Conservative financial Hawk when he was a City Councillor. He voted against any expenditure from new bridges to the arena now being built. He was dead set against any kind of new football stadium for Calgary ten years ago. Now, he's pushing for it as Mayor. Plus, it's ironic that he'll be cutting the ribbon to open the new arena for the Flames that he campaigned against & hated so much in about a year's time.
