  1. Two players, Gurley & Stafford in 6 seasons.
  2. Why does this team refuse to upgrade itself during the season? Why are we loathe to add players that could help us yet other teams are. I throw this at the feet of the 3 people running this team. Every year CFL vets become available from the NFL & we take a pass. And like clockwork every year we either don't make the playoffs or make a hasty exit if we do. Sometimes it seems like Miller, Walters & O'Shea don't care. The fans deserve much better than they get from those guys. It is absolutely mind boggling that every year we break camp with the players on the roster from training camp & end the season with them.
  3. I hope that's the last we see of the guy. He was a great player in his prime. However, he's become a retread. He needs to just retire with some dignity & quit being a hanger on.
  4. I'm sure the Rider fans would like an asterisk beside the GC game they lost to Montreal at McMahon Stadium. "If only the game had ended 13 seconds earlier", they lament.
  5. One of my favourite pics. The entire OL firing off low from the LOS into the Riders DL. That's how you win the battle along the line. Get low at pad level!!
  6. It's the best rivalry in the CFL. We hate each other.
  7. You may give us credit but your fanbase won't. So really, do you expect us to do the same? LOL. As a Rider fan you're marginally acceptable here but your fanbase is insufferable when your team wins. No quarter drawn & no quarter given from us here. I enjoy a Rider loss as much as I enjoy a Bomber win.
  8. Sigh. I still remember the day that Cal Murphy signed Matt Dunigan.
  9. I have no idea why we aren't bringing in players at the WR position to challenge who we have now. It's crazy how we just stand pat doing nothing year after year.
  10. Luck? No, the Riders made plays to win. They were prepared. Plus the Als defensive personnel aren't as good as we may have thought they were with older players like Chip Cox & John Bowman starting. Cox is 35. Bowman 36. Luck had nothing to do with it. Your Riders are a better team. But we're talking Als here & not the Stamps.
  11. Rich Stubler was an outstanding DC up to when he was with the Stamps. But he's in his 70's now. For whatever reason when his defense had to make a stop then they couldn't do it. That D of his didn't look good when they had to stop the Riders but didn't.
  12. I think an OC does the opposite. Instead of reigning him in you let him be creative like Doug Flutie was. Design an offense around his strengths, his scrambling ability & his ability to run which isn't just throwing from the pocket. So you roll him out or move the pocket around. Good example was the athletic move he put on the Sask DL where he evaded the rush & threw his second TD pass of the game. That is what Manziel does best.
  13. Could you imagine what Dickenson could do with him? Or Trestman even though he doesn't fit his offense. he'd still make him a better qb.
  14. Manziel looks like he's starting to figure the CFL game out. He's starting to not out think himself, being comfortable & not being an automaton. He was letting his athletic ability make plays.
  15. No players were cut so I don't think it is as big of a deal with them. Now cut a couple of guys & they'll pay attention.
  16. Have you noticed that head coaches like Maas do these things when they fear for their jobs? Maas is not a Sunderland guy as Hervey hired him & I could see him making a change if things continue the way they a re.
  17. Wow. Reilly had 2 pick sixes. Why didn't Maas fire himself?
  18. So much for the Als D being really good. They're not.
  19. Scapegoat for Maas. Was ST's a problem last night? I didn't think so.
  20. Welcome to every Blue Bomber qbs worlds over the years. No one felt sorry for us. I won't feel sorry for Reilly. Boo freaking hoo.
