Do you actually think that is funny? If it was supposed to be that's lame.

Quarterback Chris Vargas dressed for 23 games as a Bomber in 1997-98. His career Bomber stats are 415 pass attempts & 213 completions for 2,798 yards & 16 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 51.8% & 22 interceptions. His best year was 1997 when he threw for 2,618 yards & 15 touchdowns.

Swift Current is isolated in SW Saskatchewan unlike Steinbach. There's no NHL team an hour away either.

Yeah, typical Riderfans. Criticize the Bombers saying it's just an excuse then use the reverse logic on theirs. -
Those 2 communities are much too small to support a WHL team. The team would set up shop elsewhere outside the province.

With 3 major hockey teams in Winnipeg, could this actually work?

I think Chamblin wanted his coaches back something like a month earlier & Dickenson said no. So, he was fired & went to Edmonton where Chris Jones had just been hired. That was Chamblin's final year as Riders HC. He became dictatorial & eventually lost the locker room. Hopefully, he learned a huge lesson out of all that & will treat his assistants & players in Toronto a lot better. -

You do realize that Cameron was a huge kidder in general. Loved to play practical jokes. And that he was on radio trying to build up Ryan... I'd take all that with a grain of salt. You don't think Murphy knew Westwood could punt. If he could pay one player to do2 jobs then he'd have cut Cameron. Instead he knew that Cameron was the better punter & gicing 2 jobs to Westwood might affect his accuracy with the added pressure. -

Ryan played only a few seasons in Winnipeg. Cameron punted for over 15 years. I have to agree with 17to85 here. Cameron was the best. -
That was the first season of TNG when Picard was a old grouch who didn't like anything. They mellowed him in subsequent seasons or that series wouldn't have lasted very long with a captain pissed off at everything & everyone.

I saw the first episode of Magnum: PI & wasn't t impressed. Haven't watched it since. Only Tom Selleck could play Thomas Magnum. I used to watch that show regularly back in the 80's. Plus Higgins is now a woman. I guess in today's world an all male cast just isn't politically correct. It didn't seem at all like the old show & if not, why bother? They could have had an original action drama cop show from Hawaii & people would watch it.

Magnum PI renewed? Never thought it had a chance.

Well, wow, really truth or BS? -
Leaving them behind because they were a pre warp society was IMO the wrong decision. I agreed with Burnham that the descendants were taken against their will & should be returned to Earth although they may not have existed as they were saved from WW3. In the 24th century they very easily could have been educated to live during that century with advance technology. I think the best choice would have been to let the inhabitants know who they were & through that one scientist help to bridge the shocking fact they had been there for 300 years.

No coach should have a job for life unless he's Vince Lombardi or Bud Grant.

August 28,1954. The BC Lions first game in the Western Interprovincial Football Union, the precursor to the Canadian Football League. Lions fullback Byron Bailey scores the teams very first touchdown at Empire Stadium.

Paul Robson won 1 Grey Cup as a GM. To this day, I have no idea why he left the Bombers to go to the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1987. When he was fired after the 1988 season, it finished his career as a CFL exec. Cal Murphy won 2 Grey Cups & lost 2 as Blue Bomber GM. Although in 1992 he was lying flat on his back in hospital in London, Ontario recovering from a heart transplant.
