  1. My wife is an RN as well so I'm in good hands.
  2. This topic was discussed in earnest here as I recall & the general consensus was to go with two main threads in the off season as well as another two during the regular season Bomber & CFL News to keep the site from becoming cluttered. That is how members wanted it. There have been very few complaints until now. In order to change it, there would have to be some kind of a want or need to do it.
  3. You don't follow the Bomber for a living so no one will criticize you.
  4. Thanks TB4. Ya done good! I have some Happy Honker Awards to give out... To #29 Paul Williams, wingback, corner & KO Return Extraordinaire. Played for the Bombers from 1971-73. Thank you for your TD Dance. If anyone remembers the "Winnipeg Wiggle". To #35 Bob "Hoss" Houmard, fullback He played only one season for the Bombers in 1970. For being such a character guy. One of the toughest runners straight ahead runners I have ever seen. There wasn't a middle linebacker he didn't love to run over. He earned the nickname "Hoss", that's for sure. To #24 Ed Ulmer, cornerback & punter. Played for the Bombers from 1965 to 1971. For his booming 91 yard punt vs the BC Lions in September of 1969. I was sitting in the Salisbury House End Zone seats behind the south end zone so he punted the ball right in front of me. Well, he hit that football on its sweet spot & it took off like a rocket. Right over the heads of the frantically backpedalling Lions punt returners. To #32 Mark Bragagnolo, fullback. Played one season for the Bombers in 1980 For his clutch game winning 90 plus yard TD run in the 4th quarter on a muddy field at Canad Inns Stadium vs the Calgary Stampeders in the Western Conference Semi Final. Hit the whole then booked it to the end zone much to the chagrin of a stunned Stamps defense. To #10 Bernie Ruoff, kicker. Played for the Bombers from 1975 to 1979. For successfully kicking a 58 yard field goal on his very first attempt as a professional kicker vs the Stamps at McMahon Stadium in 1975 & for wearing his glasses & wristwatch when he kicked.
  5. Yeah, trading Foketi to Edmonton or Calgary would be a huge mistake.
  6. I don't know where you came out from under but I live in Calgary & I didn't need separate multiple threads to know Trent Corney retired. You're just a little slow, that's all.
  7. They told me that about the anesthetic. I just went okaaaaayyyyyyy…. Meanwhile I'm thinking, What the ####!! Thanks for your kind words.
  8. Yeah, injuries are part of the game. We'll have our share.
  9. Meanwhile in Calgary, starting veteran OG Brad Erdos went down in a drill this afternoon similar to a ruptured Achillles. Supposedly no one touched him. A very unhappy Dave Dickenson told the media that it's a serious injury & Erdos could be out "long term". They have no one to back him up. Calgary doesn't have the depth it had in previous years. Huge blow to their OL.
  10. I'd like to go but I'm having a knee replacement July 19th. Doubt if I'll be able to travel to Winnipeg or try to get around IGF.
  11. Why don't these companies use focus groups? STH's of different ages to get their feedback before they release their team's new uniforms. They obviously need help to get things right & knowledgeable fans would help in that process. Instead of some fashion designer who doesn't know the difference between football & soccer.
  12. Makes you wonder how Adidas got it right with our uniforms. It's obviously very hard for these companies.
  13. You need to put Don Jonas on that MVP list as well. Before he came to the Bombers from the Argos they were in the wilderness having missed the playoffs 4 seasons in a row. They were averaging about 14,000 fans a game in 1970. They won 3 games in 1969 & just 2 games in 1970. A year later under Jonas they won 7 games , tied 1 & finished in third place in the West. In 1972, they improved to first place in the West with 10 wins. Attendance doubled to 25,000 by 1972 with the addition of 5,000 new seats on the West Side. When Jonas got here in 1971, the team was broke. He made it into a money maker for the first time in years.
  14. When Dennis came back to Calgary he didn't have many nice things to say about the Riders, their coaches or Chris Jones.
  15. He started a bunch of games for the Riders in 2017 & was by far their worst OL. He eventually ended up back in Calgary where he became a West DivisionAll Star for the second time last season. If I was a Rider fan I'd be wondering what was going on.
  16. Derek Dennis struggled with the Riders as well. He was an all star tackle with the Stamps in 2016 & 2018.
  17. The only way Miller, Walters & O'Shea are broken up is if one or more of them leave to go elsewhere. They deserve the accolades as they have built this team up to be a Grey Cup contender. They are in no danger of being fired.
  18. From the sparseness of the tight end position to the glorious qb position. I voted for Ken Ploen as the man richly deserves to be recognized as GOAT but look at the other guys on that list. Some great ones are there for sure.
  19. Protecting the good citizens of Regina from Ethiopian thugs.
