  1. It really is too bad. Chat was better than the GDT but wbbfan is right, it's dying.
  2. I think O'Shea has decided to announce his complete staff rather than individual assistants & coordinators. I'm sure the OC will be Buck & we'll find that out soon enough.
  3. I never thought Jennings was that good even when he was putting up big numbers passing. He was always making bad decisions & throws that cost the Lions games in the win column. Once his production fell off the mistakes kept happening & he was exposed as the lousy qb that he always was. Jennings doesn't come across being the sharpest knife in the drawer. Yet, he'll probably still find a place to play. His athleticism will cause some OC to think he can resurrect his career off the scrap heap which won't happen.
  4. I'm talking about his retirement. His body was finished as a player.
  5. Lulay's body was broken down. I don't think he could have played anymore even if he wanted to.
  6. Mr Dee missed a huge storm in Kelowna this week. From the photos I saw, looks to be about 30 cms of fresh snow. Power outtages all over Kelowna.
  7. All 3 games were important for me. For different reasons as all the games told a different story. The Semi Final: Going into a Bomber wasteland called McMahon Stadium & beating the highly favoured Stamps in a playoff game there for the first time since 1965. First skeleton kicked out of the closet. Defeating the Riders in their House in the Western Final to avenge the 1972 Western Final loss to that team & have the ball hit the crossbar in the end zone on the last play of the game was as flukey as the Riders winning in 1972 at Winnipeg Stadium with their last play wide FG attempt being kicked in & out of the end zone 3 times, only for the Bombers to be called for No Yards allowing Riders kicker jack Abendschan a second chance 15 yards closer to make the kick, for us to lose &leaving me to agonize over that game for 47 years. Second skeleton chucked out of the closet. Then to dominate the Ti Cats the way we did unexpectedly so we could finally feel the joy of winning Lord Earl Grey's Cup for the first time in 29 years. Third & final skeleton tossed out. The Curse was finally expunged. All 3 hold as much importance for me. It was a magical run...
  8. Wrestling suspends reality. Little guys beat big guys all the time. Whether Khan steps into the ring now or 10 years from now what does it matter? In the 90's David Arquette won the WCW World Heavyweight Belt. How phoney was that?
  9. Brandon, in the 80's you had Bobby Heenan wrestling Greg Gagne in a chicken suit. Terry Taylor put red dye in his hair & was the Red Rooster. You had Doink The Clown. There were a lot of stupid angles back then just like today.
  10. At the time of the injury, Masoli was the best qb in the CFL. Why would he be expected or be happy to be #2 in Hamilton? I believe that Masoli wasn't signed to be the backup. He was signed to start. Perhaps Ti Cat coaches & management weren't happy with Evans after the Grey Cup game as he looked to be in a huge snit the more hits & sacks he took. He was yelling at his blockers & his body language was terrible. I remember Jim Barker trying to calm Evans down on the sidelines. Mentally he had checked out of the Grey Cup game by the third quarter. Perhaps Steinhauer felt Evans needs another year to watch & learn how to remain calm & handle pressure? Just speculating here.
  11. Or as Evans is delegated as number 2 once Masoli is deemed healthy to play as he is making significantly more money than Evans this coming season. This one big happy family thing won't last.
  12. The question will be, will Evans be in a snit over this? It's supposed to be his team.
  13. The further (in years) that he is from playing that sentiment may change. He's still a young guy so he vividly remembers his playing days. As HC he is the man in charge. The man who sets the agenda & culture of a team. Players play & coaches coach but Mike can use his head coaching position to see a vision & pursue that. Coaching is way more work so winning a GC ultimately would be much more satisfying.
  14. I worked for 10 years at a local Calgary High school & I know for a fact that every social studies teacher there was socialist or an NDP supporter in their political leanings & taught their courses that way. My son's high school social studies was a social studies teacher & he was as left leaning as any teacher came. When Harper was Prime Minister they taught their students to be critical of the Conservatives policies. At lunchtime, I'd talk politics with them & they told me how they teach their courses from Grade 10 thru 12. How much they hated Harper. The social studies curriculum was Globalism. In Alberta anyway, there is no such thing as Canadian history. Kids should be taught Canadian history first so they know something about this country & they should be taught both sides of the political spectrum so they can make up their own minds & not manipulated the way they are.
  15. You guys should listen to John Hufnagel's pre game speech before the 2008 Grey Cup. The game was played at the Big O in Montreal before 63,000 fans cheering on the hometown Als. John nailed it.
  16. THE MOST AWFUL segment was Lana & Lashley's wedding. How Vince can call that entertainment, I dunno. Just embarrassing.
  17. Fires Khari & makes himself the head coach.
  18. Let me add my voice to the Jets fans that come on chat during Bomber games. Nothing is more annoying than having someone constantly talk hockey during a Bomber game. Or they're tired & going to bed. Even when they were asked to stop... they didn't. I don't know if that's the sole reason for chat to decline the way it did but I know it contributed to its demise.
