  1. I'm talking getting rid of statues lawfully & not burning churches. You're lumping statue removal into societal changes of huge proportions. You're talking something totally different here.
  2. I have no problem with getting rid of statues or changing the name of schools but do it lawfully. I don't agree with vandalism. Burning down churches solves what, exactly? Besides turning off mainstream society who believe in law & order. If things are to change then anarchy won't propel the change. It'll set back reconcilliation. Eventually, I think that people who would support the cause of reconciliation will eventually get turned off. What if the angry mob decides it doesn't like you or your property for whatever reason & destroys your home? You can't say it would never happen. Look at the riots in the US in 2020 & over the past 55-60 years. Canadians seem to theink we're above all that but in reality I don't believe we are. I think it's the height of arrogance if Canadians think we're above rioting & destroying property. Who knows where politics will go in 10 or 20 years. No one thought Donald Trump would ever be elected yet he was. Get rid of the offending statues sure but don't destroy public &/or private property. Get rid of them lawfully. Don't burn down or vandalize churches. It will eventually hurt the cause of reconcilliation.
  3. They'll only have Massoli & Evans for this year. After that, one of them signs elsewhere. If the Ti Cats don't win this season they may go another 22 years before they win a championship again. This organization is under even more pressure than we were to win. Huge, huge expectations. They'll either do it or come apart at the seams.
  4. Of course, TSN & 3DN both call the Ti Cats a "Super Team". How many 30 plus year olds are on that team yet no talk of them being "Over The Hill" like the talk of the Bombers are. The only difference between the 2 is at the qb position with Dane Evans & Jeremiah Massoli as both have CFL experience. We have Collaros who is a GC winner & Sean McGuire who has thrown 3 CFL passes. But two years ago, Evans hadn't thrown a single pass either when Massoli went down with his Achilles injury.
  5. Rich, can we have another topic of discussion & have an "Other Sports" section. That way, we can put NFL Football there to stop Noeller from losing his mind every year. We can talk NBA. MLB, pro soccer, the Olympics, rasslin, MMA. golf, etc. Basically any sport posters want to talk about. What do you think?
  6. I think that we'll see the return of the Blue Gold game the Bombers used to play. A scrimmage between themselves. Blue team vs Gold team. That way guys can get some reps.
  7. Have to admit this type of technology sweeps way past me. My son in Seattle has Hulu & Netflix. I was able to watch a lot of programs I've never seen here. I would consider cutting cable if Hulu came to Canada & it was similar to Hulu in the US. My cable bill is becoming too expensive. You'd think cable providers would be worried but it appears they aren't. We certainly have no competition between Telus, Rodgers & Shaw.
  8. Why would anyone want this? It's cheap but you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to security, don't you?
  9. All I know is that when I was in school back in the 60's & 70's as well as all the way thru university where I studied Canadian history there was never a mention of residential schools. In elementary & high school, we were taught that as Canadians we were lucky to live in Canada. We were told in school that we were one of the few nations in the world that was not founded after a war. We never had the "Indian Wars" the US had when the West was settled with the help of the CPR. We were taught we were the least racist country in the world. Slavery was not an institution in our country like it was in the US & we were not Imperialists like the US, China, Soviet Union or Britain. We never conquered other countries or planted a Canadian flag on another country's sovereign soil. That we were a peaceful people. Yes, we were taught we were the greatest country in the world. We knew nothing of what went on in residential schools. Now, the truth is coming out & Canadians are shocked by how previous federal governments & (especially) the Catholic Church covered this up. We were deliberately kept in the dark.
  10. I'm no fan of Chevy but until he is actually accused of something I'm not going to cast aspersions on his character over some nutbar perverted coach & what Chevy knows or is supposed to have known.
  11. That's the story on the guy. Wants it given to him. You can't teach stupid either.
  12. Some of these players het chance after chance after chance. Has shown nothing to deserve it.
  13. They have this gawd awful Canadian talk show on now with Shane Hewitt after midnight. So glad I don't work nights anymore.
  14. He's had 2 years to work out the kinks. Wow, at least see Harris run first in a couple of games before you pass judgement on him that he's washed up.
  15. Love how Frosty went from accusing Chevy of hiding secrets about Blackhawks sexual misconduct to GOOD DEAL!! for Nugent-Hopkins almost in mid sentence.
  16. Why would the CFL allow 100 players in a year there are no pre season games? Wouldn't 75 made more sense?
  17. Not being able to attend sporting events or travel is a good start. I have no sympathy at all for them. Most are as dumb as bricks.
  18. C'mon 17to 85, weren't those mosquitos tasty???
  19. Learned? No. Forced? Yes.
  20. I believe we were supposed to host the 1997 Draft but the Jets moved to Phoenix so that was cancelled. I doubt if we ever hold an All Star game. Who really wants to come to Winnipeg in late January?? Wow, talk about casting aspersions.
  21. "Global punter draft" Lol. Oh, when you're good, you're VERY Good.
