  1. If Hervey had wanted the team mic'd up he'd have told Maas who would have done it. Hervey & Maas were complicit in their decision not to mic up.
  2. So glad he's done here... Hopefully to never return in any capacity with the Bombers.

  4. I'm not shocked as Hervey & Maas embarrassed the Eskimo organization with their antics during the 2 games the team was mic'd up. I think Rhodes was especially angry this happened. I'm surprised it was now & not right after the Esks lost the Eastern Final to the RedBlacks.. Like the Argos decision to can Barker so late it is unfathomable this didn't happen sooner.
  5. About 5 months too late I'd think... This should have happened right after the season was over. Or the second time the Esks defied the CFL with the mics & the games Jason Maas played on gthe sidelines with TSN. Maas had better change his attitude about a lot of things this coming season as Rhodes may have done it very late but the gauntlet has been thrown down & he'll be the next to go. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/eskimos-edmonton-football-hervey-rhodes-sports-1.4060611
  6. So is the use of chemical weapons.
  7. Based on his disappointing pro day & so so CFL Combine results, is Herdman still a 2nd round pick? Or could he drop to the third round?
  8. Yeah, it's all about political correctness these days. Say something a bit controversial & suddenly you're a racist bigot & a hater.
  9. I think they will find out who has NFL aspirations & who doesn't & pick their player based on that. We haven't reached the point like a couple of other teams who can afford to draft a player for the future. We need them now & not just years later until after their NFL aspirations are over.
  10. I think it would but don't tell Priders that.
  11. The City ran buses to Polo Park/Canad Inns Stadium for Bomber home games back years ago. Marked 'Stadium" to Canad Inns, my very first Bomber game I saw live was August of 1969 & I took the bus to that game & for many years after that as well. I used to catch the bus stop just north of the intersection of Osborne & Jubilee at Balfour Avenue. Mine was the route's very first stop on the way to the stadium. It would continue north to Confusion Corner then makes its way down Corydon westbound picking up fans all through River Heights, Tuxedo & on Kenaston Blvd. If it was an 8 pm game (yes games always started at that time on weeknights & no one complained) then I had to be at my stop at 6:30 pm. I admit I haven't been on a Winnipeg transit bus since the mid 70's for a game except for the special buses to IGF when I came to Winnipeg now for the odd game. Why not just do that? Or do they still run Stadium buses?? After the game the buses were lined up outside the stadium & I took mine back to the Bay where I got on the Osborne bus to take me back to Riverview. We paid regular fare back then.
  12. Buckley at 2? I don't know about that. I think it's Gales's job to lose.
  13. I don't watch NXT. I admit I'm not a hard core wrestling fan like I used to be so NXT really doesn't mean a lot to me. I think a lot of WWE fans feels the same. When we see a bunch of new NXT guys get called up the day after WM like has been done the past few years we just shrug our shoulders & go who cares? Former NXT guys like Simon Gotch come & go. For them to stick around they have to be special. Like Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins & Fin Balor. For women, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Bayley. I know there are NXT fans here that are genuinely excited to see NXT talent come up. Sorry to say that I'm not. Now if they develop into top WWE wrestlers then I'll become interested. They have to prove themselves in a WWE ring before I get excited as a fan.
  14. Watching Jonathan Crompton play, I never thought he was a winner. I thought his accuracy was always questionable as was his ability to exploit a defense as a qb. He won most of his games because his team around him played better. I think any competent qb with the Als back then would have won. Crompton wasn't special in any way. At least that's what I think.
  15. That idiot is over on the CFL website in their forum trashing everything about the Bombers. Glad he's there & not here.
  16. Crompton wasn't great. Let's show a little compassion & let him have his 24 hours of fame here.
  17. I never thought he was much. That nine of 13 start was a misnomer.
  18. Remember that very well. The WWE always brings out storylines at times like this. In 1990, I remember the Iron Sheik carrying the Iraqi flag along with Ivan Koloff berating WWE fans when US led Allies went to war against Iraq over invading Kuwait. They can be so clueless sometimes.
  19. Thinking the same thing. We can't expect our D to continue to be a turnover machine every game . If Hall doesn't tighten things up it could get ugly.
  20. Of course, (I assume that) he's Hindu & not Muslim but I get your point. I don't think too many wrestling fans would get the difference especially in the US. Lots of hate & mistrust today like never before. Was Davari part of the storyline of the Muslim wrestler (character) that the WWE released over a decade ago when things went badly? The guy who played the Muslim wrestler wasn't really Muslim as I remember but the reaction by fans was so negative that McMahon had to get rid of him. I think there were fears that he could be seriously injured or even killed. That was after 9/11.
  21. What's your thoughts on Jinder Mahal?
  22. There is also the subject of advertising. How well will the Winter Olympics sell in the US when game & other events are on at 3 in the morning not only for hockey but for other sports? As much as the rest of the world hates it, if broadcast times suck in the States then it affects the ratings for the Olympics on television which means loss of tv revenues. I don't think the games in South Korea will be as successful as they'd have been if they were in Europe. That could have played into the decision although it's pretty well common knowledge that the NHL was looking at any reason not to be there.
  23. Harrison wasn't that good in the first place so no surprise there. He was a waste of a roster spot.
