  1. To you & a handful of others. I don't see him doing that now? The guy has matured into an elite CFL qb. When was he whining? Back in 2019? Or 2021?? We beat Fajardo in the West Fina ion 2019. I don't even think he was with the Riders in 2021 anymore. That was 7 years ago. I remember a guy on my CFL History page.... I posted a photo of Terry Evanshen when he was an Alouette in 1965. Freaking 1965... Sixty one years ago!! There were comments saying what a great player Evanshen was. The conversation shifted to his horrendous 1978 car accident he was involved in. Where he was seriously injured. Spent months in hospital recovering where he lost all of his memories & still doesn't remember playing in the CFL due to the severity of his head injuries. After the accident. Evanshen had no memories or recollection of his playing days. let alone his life. He didn't remember his name, who his wife, kids, parents or the rest of his family were. Couldn't remember his friends or where he worked. He had to learn how to talk & walk. Imagine starting over in your late 30's or early 40's with absolutely nothing. His memory was totally wiped clean. Just a terrible situation although he survived the crash. At times, it must have been terrifying. So on my CFL History group, one guy posts what an ******* Evanshen was because in 1965 he went to an Als practice as a kid & asked him for an autograph he never signed Called Evanshen an arrogant prick. So, he's carried this hatred for the guy for 61 years. I told him that with his head injury & not being able to remember what he was like before his accident that he's probably the opposite of what he used to be & that he'd sign it now for him. He never responded. Not one reply of support for the guy & no likes. No one cared. It was 61 years ago & sounded so damned whiny. Life goes forward. Time to move on. Don't have to root for him. Don't have to like the guy to acknowledge that he's a an elite qb though. I don't like Alexander. But i ackmowledge he's the best qb in the CFL at the moment.
  2. The league suffered a huge black eye with games being cancelled in Brampton.
  3. If I was to say that we'd probably win more ball game with Fajardo at qb than Collaros, the haters here would all come out of the woorwork all shouting what a joke & POS Fajardo is. All I can say is, if fans are that petty just because a certain player played for the Riders & was whiny then they deserve to be fans of the Ottawa RedBlacks or the 2020-25 Elks forever. Go into eternal purgatory for all I care.
  4. Who said he'd get paid? I said that Thomas could have gone to U Sports to coach the DL to gain the experience & then come back or maybe he decides to stay. Former Stamps Safety Greg Frers went to coach U Sports in the OAU & became a successful HC. Former Bison Head Coach Henry Janzen & Argo Larry Uteck in the Maritimes. All 3 either won the Vanier Cup or built their programs to be elite. AFAIK, only the coordinators & HC get paid as coaches in U Sport.
  5. It's crazy they keep playing Bryant but that's Osh. If he had his way he'd still be playing Thomas.
  6. Lots of players whine. Some strut, like Alexander. Some have been suspended, like Kelly. Who cares? Not everyone are Boy Scouts. End of the day, can Fajardo ball with the best of them at qb? He sure can.
  7. A very high possibilty tha they could be 5-10 after October 3rd. Kyle Walters: "Hey Osh, our work is done."
  8. We also brought in Bighill late after he was cut by the Saints. We don't do things like that anymore. Once Ringmaiden & Goveia left it was over. The Trinity's Best Before Date has come & gone.
  9. I don't care what anyone negatively says here about Cody Fajardo. Mostly stupid hatred because he used to play for the Riders. The guy is an elite CFL qb. he's in the Top 3 or 4. his accuracy is incredible. He sliced & diced the Argo secondary today.
  10. Nah, Kyle's work is one. The Trinity don't replace players when the season is on.
  11. You're not. I'm glad we won last night but I have no confidence that we can rip off 3 traight wins.
  12. Those names made them famous. They sold tickets. As a fan you hated Alberta Crude & especially Dr Death, Dave Fennell. Now, other than Jefferson, Ceresna & Reese, the rest are faceless & nameless. Guys switch in & out. No one knows who they are. Same with other teams. Faceless for the most poart.
  13. That first drive interception by Reese was a game changer. Had the redBlacks scored, they might have been filled with confidence. instead, that just took the wind out of the Redblacks sails. He'll need a lot of time to do it. This isn't an easy fix. I bet Bob dyce is glad to be outta there.
  14. This is Ottawa. We should be expected to win. Not Saskatchewan or Montreal. Really, what kind of a team did we beat? One that hasn't won for a year. And looks like it could go another year before they win again. Lordy, if the Bombers had lost. Our next 6 games are against Edmonton, Montreal, Saskatchewan back to back, Toronto & Montreal. They way we looked offensively last night other than Oliveira running wild, we could be 5-10 by the beginning of October.
  15. Sorry disagree. We have been doing this for years. Who is Rene?
  16. Clercius backs up Cobb & I just don't get that. You know he's gonzo when he becomes a FA after this season. Another draft & develop player (for other teams).
  17. Thanks gfor the explanation. Although I will say I see a lot of big bodies who whiff their blocks on the OL because they can't match the speed of the guy their blocking. Usually thru the A/B gap or outside. The Center-Guard have a hard time with the speed of the pass rushers inside as does the Tackle on the DE.
  18. You can't teach size. Like I know these guys were big receivers but when both were interviewed after the game oinn TSN I had no idea. No wonder those 2 can ball. Big, physical receivers who make the tough contested catches. Just WTH are we doing?
  19. Do you see the size of Justin McInnis & Keon Hatcher? Then there are our smurfs.
  20. He may not be the best but he;s not the worst either. He needs shaps in a game to really develop but he's another youner guy being blocked from starting because the old guys in Bryant & Neufeld on the line refuse to retire. Osh just lets them guys play. Vanterpool just sits. That is an outstanding evaluation. Great job.
  21. Back in the day you had your Front Four who played nearly every down for 16 games. They even gave defensive lines names like Capital Punishment in Ottawa, the Four Trees in Calgary & Alberta Crude in Edmonton. The units as a whole played pretty well using minimal subs. Now today ,we use subs to keep the DL fresh. Okay, I get that but why do we need to sub in 3 extra players when one extra player would suffice? If Jefferson or Reece get tired & want out for a couple of plays then you just work it around that. The sub actually gets to play a lot instead of wholesale changes on the line with 3 in the game. Football on the LOS hasn't changed in 60 years. It's still tough, nasty & physical in the pit. The guys in the 60's & 70's went thru the same thing the players today do during a game. The starters played 90% of the plays & they stayed in there. Yet, here we are taking our starters out for 3 subs. Maybe I'm out to lunch on this but I don't understand the need for 7 DL in a game. Only 1 on the OL with both a 40 & a 37 year old starters. Our OL is freaking ancient.
  22. Professional football players don't use training camp to get in shape for the season like they did 50-60 years ago. They work out & train all year round. Going four practices this week should have been easy for them this time of year. There was no reason to give the team that day off.
  23. When a team loses two games in a row badly then it's time for a coach to lower the boom. make his team work harder. Not reward them with a day off after an extended break. i could just see Ray Jauch or Cal Murphy doing that... said no long term Bomber fan who was around when they coached ever.
  24. That didn't age well.
