  1. Now look what you've done, here come the hot taeks: Willy is better than Reilly. MOS should be the next one inducted into the ring of honor, not Doug Brown. Fogg was only good because Macho Harris was bailing him out, now we see who Fogg really is. IGF will fall apart any minute now due to concrete failure. Every Paul Friesen article is articulate and well informed.
  2. Perfect set-up for him with no one to throw to. Good thing he can run.
  3. Best guess would be in Edmonton to replace Derel Walker when he bolts for the NFL. Ed Hervey and Duron Carter are a match made in heaven.
  4. Do you think that they may let Hardrick walk if he tries to command big $$ and roll with Foketi at RT? I would think that Burnett won't break the bank but he certainly would command a raise on his current (I assume minimum) deal. Other than the ones already listed (M. Harris, Keeping, Smith, Johnson and Hurl), if we retain Gurley perhaps Darvin Adams is expendable.
  5. I think Leggett runs away with DPOY.
  6. Can we rename Chancellor Matheson the Medlock expressway?
  7. It's an old, out of touch man's go to for what the kids are using these days. Tell those damn kids to stop skateboarding on the sidewalks while you're at it Paul!
  8. I see we took the inverse approach to this joke.
  9. I guarantee we won't lose on Friday. Saturday, on the other hand, is debatable.
  10. Love seeing us come out on top in a case like this. We couldn't have him end up in BC, Edmonton or Hamilton.
  11. Interested to see if he has given up on the NFL and signed a longer term contract or if he is still going to **** teams around. The Riders are getting better though, will be better next year depending on what their QB situation looks like.
  12. Call it blind optimism but the fact that MOS didnt come right out and say `We`re happy with the group we have` or something to that effect is encouraging. I would echo the majority of us who would love to see Tori Gurley here, I think he could be the stretch guy were have been looking for for a while now. As far as any character concerns go, who knows maybe it was the entirety of the group or one specific individual who was causing the friction there and separately they can all function on other teams.
  13. +1 for Todd Gurley II. I saw so many Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk jerseys around CanadInns when we switched to the Rams clone jerseys.
  14. Who knows with a new coach in there maybe they play some inspired football over the next couple weeks. If they beat Toronto in the H2H game, anything is possible. I would say it`s looking like no worse than a 3rd overall pick, which is an amazing haul for Willy in and of itself.
  15. If Frederick, Roberts, Fogg, and Heath are on 2 year deals then next year you need to look at freeing up money to extend them. They won't come cheap either if they continue on their current trajectory. I'm not campaigning to get Smith out of here and I won't speak for Mike and his rationale for his comment but my guess would be that a decision on Smith (or Dressler) would be based on how much money they want to allocate to their WR's.
  16. It might have more to do with having so much money tied up in our WR's and an improving secondary with some expiring contracts (next year) and some guys may be looking for raises and extensions.
  17. I can't imagine he is healthy. After his usage in our offense since the labour day game and subsequent production (eating crow on that one), I can't see why they would keep him out if healthy.
  18. I am really pulling for him to have some success in Toronto, hope it's not serious. Last week in spot duty, he sure looked like the Willy we had here to start the year, heavy on the check downs to Brandon Whitaker and taking anything he could underneath (save for the deep shot to Gurley, which was underthrown). Hopefully he has had more of an opportunity to expand his knowledge of their playbook.
  19. I would sooner take a shot on a neg list guy that our scouting staff obviously has had their eye on over a 4th or lower round pick who has a significantly less chance to make the roster.
  20. You could also look at it as we identified his replacement and he wasn't going to be re-signed anyways, so we were able to get value back as opposed to nothing if we let him walk. It all depends on what his internal value is for the remainder of this year vs. the return on the trade (McKay). If McKay never signs, we obviously lose. But as Mike alluded to above, if he ends up being a player for us then it's excellent asset management by Walters. The real wrench here is if we sustain an injury to one of our CB's and don't have adequate depth to replace them.
  21. Ah, you`re right I forgot about his injury. We have Greenwood and Lewis on the PR right now, I guess one of them comes off to backfill?
  22. CJ Roberts right now. I would imagine they bring in a guy to replace Adams on the roster whether it be the neg list player acquired or someone else.
