  1. Yeah I know, I just don't want to have to buy an XBOX just to play a CFL game. I would hope that once it's rolled out it would be on both XBOX and PS4.
  2. I would rather watch paint dry than cheer for the Seahawks. I'm all for them going in the toilet and all of the 12's can go with them.
  3. Any news on the timeframe for completion? Could we expect it to come out next year?
  4. I suck at 3rd down conversions enough in Madden without having the threat of turning it over looming over me
  5. Yeah I'm not too thrilled at the notion of QB#12 throwing to WR#89. Can mock up something in Madden that would be better.
  6. Special teams will make a big impact on the game today. Logan was setting Glenn and co. up nicely with big returns last week, now he meets a much better cover teams unit that has kept the league's best returner in check twice already. Forcing Glenn to move the length of the field will be crucial and like Goalie said, the new kicker in Montreal vs Medlock? I know who I would bet on.
  7. I tend to agree that the common denominator here in regards to the apparent dislike has to do with following Mark Cohon who was universally respected and the best commissioner the league has had in recent memory and the supposed conspiracy against the Riders. Some people don't like the new CFL logo, if that's the largest blemish on his record then I would say he's done a damn fine job. If/when the CFL video game comes to fruition and isn't some Mickey Mouse job but an honest to goodness Madden-like experience then he hits a home run in my books.
  8. Why can't we have it both ways? Beat BC back to back, and have them be the ones who need to make up ground. Moot point now with Ottawa crumbling yesterday.
  9. Hope so. We need some love from the East to keep BC and Edmonton below us.
  10. I don't think we need him but he seemed to be having a decent season. Hello retirement (aka rejecting an offer from Sask)
  11. Does he line up inside? If so, Bass should be able to keep up with him. No shoulder checks/arm tackles and we can bring him down.
  12. I would be horrified at our US scouting if we had Brendan Morgan on our roster if he were an import.
  13. Agreed. I don't want to be known as a Macho advocate, because I was opposed to the signing at the time and I am sure there are better options out there but Harris can finish the year here and we can cut him in the offseason. He does provide some value to the team as a depth guy but unless an airlifted DB from the US can show MOS he can play at a higher level then we may as well ride it out for this year and go from there.
  14. Depth isn't a bad thing to have. I don't know what Macho is making but if it doesn't affect the team then why not keep him around? Injuries can pile up quickly (as we know by now) and our depth has allowed us to keep pace in the West. Now that we are getting healthy, why should we abandon that? We had 3 DB's go down in one game, 3 WR's in another. Say Loffler and Leggett both get injured in a game and are forced to miss time, Harris can step in and be a stop gap. I'm not suggesting he gets back in the starting lineup at all, but that doesn't mean we have to cut him either just for the sake of cutting him. He may provide other intangibles that you can't read on a stat sheet.
  15. When Kevin Fogg was being interviewed last week he mentioned that Macho was a leader in the DB room so it wouldn't surprise me if MOS and Walters keep him around to avoid rocking the boat, especially the way the secondary has been playing lately.
  16. If keeping Foketi at RT instead of Hardrick based on production at the position and not injury related, I think it's a good sign in regards to O'Shea putting the best roster together as opposed to the "vets keep their spots" mantra of years past, which bodes well for when Macho is healthy he can take a back seat to Loffler.
  17. Why are we paying him so much if his kicks are always end over end. Waste of money IMO, brink back Serna!!1!
  18. There's a big difference between catching a punt/kickoff and a pass.
  19. No way would Knuckles ever go to the lengths that Pederson is going to defend the Riders. Rod is in a league of his own. I think BBlink had it right in that he is a fan first and will pump the Riders tires before any actual journalism or integrity is involved. The feud between him and the bloggers/writers across the league is likely rooted in the fact that he would gladly throw them under the bus to "protect the shield" as it were and suggest that they would fabricate evidence to feed some conspiracy.
  20. Believe me, I've been a big proponent of having McDuffie returning kicks so I wouldn't include myself in the recency bias camp. He has been hurt but when healthy we have used players like Gerrard Sheppard over him so it shows me that he isn't exactly lighting it up in practice and forcing his way into the offense. I think he can play a role on this team and co-exist with Fogg in the return game but that isn't a popular opinion apparently. Like I said in a previous post, there are some intangibles of his that make him an intriguing option as a WR, but he hasn't had any sustained success as a WR at the college or pro level despite technically being listed as a WR at UCF and in Denver/Hamilton/Winnipeg. He has speed to burn but obviously lacks in the technical aspects of the receiver position or he would have established himself already. You have to think that a coach would love to use his speed at WR but something hasn't clicked yet for him. I guess I should walk back the hands are suspect comment a bit to say that I have my reservations about his ability to be a consistent contributor to the offense. Be it drops, route running etc. I don't worry too much about his ability to separate from defenders though.
  21. I don't expect much from him TBH, his hands are suspect and I don't know enough about him to comment on his route running but based on his limited reps at WR I doubt he excels there either. He would be most effective running screens and deep routes if nothing else but to open up guys underneath or take advantage of heavy blitzing. I would imagine his offensive ceiling is likely a poor man's Brandon Banks. Ironic considering that is also his moniker on returns.
  22. I never suggested they should be afraid of him, but he is very fast and if MTL sends pressure and lines up man on man there is a potential for a mismatch there. I don't think anyone is or has suggested that McDuffie is a solution at WR but seeing as he may be playing this week it doesn't hurt to look at what potential benefits to the offense he provides.
  23. I would assume if McDuffie is going in as a WR he could be used as a decoy to keep the D honest. If the Als bring pressure and he gets 1-on-1, Nichols can just throw it and let McDuffie run under it. I'm not enthralled with him in the starting lineup but who knows, maybe this adds another dimension to the offense,
