What a dumb question. Nobody will ever know. The Osh haters will believe one thing and other will believe something else. In the end what difference does it make? If Drew Bledsoe doesn't get hurt is Belichick a bad coach? If Wally Pipp doesn't have a headache, is Miller Huggins inept?

If they are sold out then it is probably in the right sort of venue. It used to be the hottest ticket, but then they went to stupid locations like the bar in Toronto and whatever that was in BC a few years back. Last year was much better, and this year it sounds like it will be back to what God intended.

I would say that I saw as much holding by the Bombers as I did by the Riders. The non-calls on holding were a good thing as far as I am concerned.

Its about time. Better late than never. Hope it sticks for a season or two. People love the Bombers but all the Debbie Downers constantly going on about not winning in 29 years and traffic at ths stadium has put a damper on it for the last few years.

This just might happen. For some reason the Riders have an inordinate amount of pull. A potential roughing the passer call last year impacted their ability to win the WSF and we had extra officials the very next week, and completely new rules the next season. I was always surprised that they didn't manage to get field goal return teams increased to 13 players on the field at a time.

I think it is superstition. Won two in a row against nemesis teams in the whites. Keep it rolling. I am perfectly fine with that logic. I was thinking seriously of not changing my underwear until the big game.

Jalen could end up in the CFL some day. I am not sure that he will be drafted that high and I am not sure he is an NFL starting QB. He is such a run-first QB and his accuracy was an issue in Alabama. He has been impressive in Oklahoma though. If he is drafted in the first round then he should send half of his first season to Lincoln Riley. That guy is genius.

Ed Tait is still a darn good journalist. His writing is extremely readable and his shows less bias than you would think. Without him there would precious little Bomber coverage in this city for most of the year.

Most of the rider fans would be shocked. They truly believe that every fan base in the country cheers for them whenever their own team is not playing. I am not kidding. It might have had some truth when they were suffering through successive decades of terrible teams, but not since they have become the obnoxious fan base in the history of team sport.

I don't care what they do this week. What they did last week seemed to upset a lot of posters during the week and yet they kicked butt on Sunday. As long as it translates into a win this Sunday, then they can piss everyone off all they want this week. Hold closed practices in Spain and cut everybody on the team but the cashier at the new store in the mall - as long as you win on Sunday - and I will completely happy with it.

The horsecollar rule is intended to stop a particular mode of injury. It is actually called more liberally now than the original intent. Even with the wider interpretation, that tackle started at the front of the shoulder and it was not a penalty.

Not sure that it helps all that much. They still only play eastern teams 8 times a year - just like the Bombers do. They have the same advantage that all the best teams in a division have - they don't have to play themselves.

The NFL has never been about geography. Apparently it hurts their brains. Dallas has always been east of New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Raleigh, Atlanta, Detroit and Chicago on the map they use.

The only regular QB/kicker that I remember was Sonny Wade. But I think he was just a punter. No, wait - Don Jonas. No idea who held for him. I think it might have be the person who was then known as Ralph Brock.

Today's shoulder pads are very good and offer good protection. But, I am completely with you on the helmets. It drives me absolutely crazy whenever I see one come off during the play or a player pull it off like it was a baseball cap. A properly designed, built and fitted helmet is not easy to take off. Anything less should result in immediate ejection from the game and, for repeat offenders, suspensions. The Bombers drought of grey cups is a far less of a risk to the organization than lawsuits.

Another reason is that muscles get stronger but tendons and cartilage are the same as they were back in the day. These are the weak link and the cause of almost all injuries. It is not just football. Pitchers get Tommy John surgery thrown in with their first MLB contract.
